Summary: Finally, an antivirus product that does it all
Review: I have been a PC-cillin user for years, they have always been up to date with the latest virus threats and the website is unmatched with a searchable virus encyclopedia and ways to remove the virus even if you do not own the product.
This product is far superior to the others... it has everything you can ever want, including a real time scan engine to terminate any new virus, an auto-update feature, eliminates spyware/adware, can block spam mail, and has a firewall to prevent viruses altogether.

Summary: The best!!!
Review: Good: Less of a system hog than Norton; caught 2 viruses Norton didn't; comes with firewall, etc.; scan a computer on a network; downloadable; scan on their website before you buy - I filled out a survey and saved 20%!

Bad: Had to uninstall Zone Alarm Pro 4 (a firewall, also the best, but the PC-cillin firewall is probably fine) to install PC-cillin Internet Security 2004 - was able to reinstall ZAP4 afterwards though - otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.

Bottom line: PLEASE Don't waste time or money on anything else - I did, and I regret it!

Summary: Complete Protection, excellent price!!
Review: The first time i installed a PcCillin product was buy pure luck, and the Pc Cillin 2002 came with the CD of drivers of my new mother board...And now when i bought Pc Cillin Internet Security 2004, i couldn't even imagine how awsome this product was.
Automatic Updates, Firewall easy to configure for any type of things you're doing on the net (gaming, networking, IIS scripting...), Spam filter, password protector,(and credit card, usernames etc...). It is incredible how easy it is to use, and the Antivirus protection is more then excellent.
I even did some tests through specialized websites to detect if my computer was vulnerable, results: locked and secured, not a single port open (services or trojan).
For anyone who also thinks for renewals, the price are excellent and unbeatable for this kind of pack.
Beats all!!!
only cons: the colors :S

Summary: Beware!
Review: I ordered this product because of all the praising reviews I read on the Amazon site. After installing it I only got problems (program could not update; I could not send emails; various error messages). I spent hours on the phone with tech support, only to be frustrated more for it was a waste of time with no resolution yet. Very disappointing...!!
I give it 2 stars instead of 1 for I am still hoping that at some time it may work and I may then experience what all those glorious reviews are all about.

Summary: Promising but FLAWED
Review: Norton's 2004 was seriously flawed and allowed the Netsky to get on my computer. So I tried PC-Cilllin. It works fine in Real-Scan mode. But on both of my computers it froze while executing manual scans. I called tech support which was very polite. But when I mentioned the tendency of the program to freeze on manual scan mode, the very polite tech support person told me the Real-Time scan mode was taking care of things. He pretty much ignored my complaints about the fact it freezes in manual mode even after I repeated the complaint several times. If it happened on only one computer, I could chalk it up to some idiosychrasy. But the fact it happens on both, means that the program needs some work.

I finally switched to McAfee Virus Scan 2004 which so far seems faster and more stable. Right now it looks like McAfee is the one to get.

Summary: Poorly designed, confusing UI; try before you buy
Review: I read all of the reviews here and elsewhere about how great this product is, so I went ahead and purchased it.

Though I *think* it's probably doing a decent job of protecting me, the User Interface is so minimalist and unintuitive that it's hard to tell exactly what it's doing and has done. For example, the logging of events / actions is very minimal and terse compared to other products I've tried (like ZoneAlarm and McAfee for example).

In general the UI is confusing and unintuitive. For example, I tried to configure it to automatically do a virus scan on CD-ROMs that I insert. But there seems to be no way to configure it to do this, but the UI is so bad that I'm not even confident that there *isn't* a way to do it, but I can't figure out how to if there is. For virus scanning, this ought to be the *default* configuration, or at least an obvious option to set, vs. something that doesn't even seem possible with this product.

In retrospect I wish I'd tried it (which you can do via a free trial download at their website) before buying it, and I don't think I'd have bought it if I did. I'd recommend trying the McAfee and ZoneAlarm products in addition to this one before buying any of them.

Summary: April 13 th reviewer
Review: This ind must be confused. You can go to multiple websites to check the functionality of the firewall for PC-Cillin and it does very well. In fact, look over the reviews and you will see other reviewers who checked themselves on the functionality and they had no problems. This product has made my computer life worry free and without the hassles of Norton or McAff. Buy it, you will not regret it. I wish I had found this product sooner.

Summary: May 11th reviewer, you are misleading!
Review: Just read PC WORLD magazine's most recent issue and you will see why this blows Norton and McAff away. The May 11th reviewers computer must have serious issues. More pop-ups than before? This software is not for that problem, you must be a very confused individual. Pop-ups when regestering, I registered two discs, one for me and one for my father, with no such thing. Slows system down? Funny, according to numerous tests done by PC World magazine, PC-Cillin was faster than Norton and McAff. In fact, those two products were noted by PC World as being memory hogs. Spyware...you don't see it? Try reading the manual. Go to Scan Setting in the program and click on real time settings...there you have it a box to click for spyware reduction. Trend Micro's PC-Cillin Internet Security 2004 is best for its firewall and antivirus program...see PC World magazine. Couple this program with Webroot's Spyware Sweeper and you have excellent protection for your computer. The May 11th reviewer may actually want to read the manual before giving this product 1 star. The majority of amazon.com buyers and PC World magazine can't be wrong...this program is a keeper. In fact, my brother just got away from the dreaded Norton and now has PC-Cillin.

Summary: Misleading
Review: I got more pop-ups and more headaches than before.
I tried to register and my computer was bombarded with dozens of pop-ups. Maybe the CD itself is infected.
Where is Anti-Spyware feature? I don't see it.
It also slows down the system.
Definitely it was a bad choice.
Expensive too.
DON'T BUY IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: GREAT ANTI-VIRUS PROGRAM
Review: Bought this based on ratings by PC World Magazine and this site. Loaded easily, updates frequently, runs flawlessly. Huge improvement over Symantec's Norton Anti-virus which caused my system to crash constantly. Finally an anti-virus program that works!
