Rating: Summary: No Support for PC viruses Review: Bet you didn't know that a MAC can be infected by a PC virus. Neither did I, nor did I realize upon purchasing this product that PC viruses are not supported at all. Granted a pc virus cannot damage your MAC but you can be infected and spread that virus to other people (PC USERS) in your email lists. Now on a daily basis I receive warnings that I have automatically transmitted viruses to people I have not emailed in months. Support for this problem from Symantec you ask??? Zip nada zilch! Find an alternate product. Very dissapointed and worried.

Rating: Summary: Confusing Rebate Review: I'm really disappointed with Symantec and Amazon on the 'rebate' for this product. When I searched for the product I found it listed with a 'rebate' icon. Only after I received and was billed for the product did I notice the 'rebate' only applied to previous owners of this software. I've got to believe that the overwhelming majority of folks who purchase this software are first time buyers. I will never buy software from Amazon or Symantec again.
Rating: Summary: Some words about Symantec rebates Review: If you are thinking about buying norton software simply because they are free after rebates, then reconsider it. Although it's well known Symantec makes reliable softwares, When we talk about their rebates, they are liars. Yes, liars ¨Cthey really deserve this. Based on my personal experience, I even think theirs are worse than the notorious I/O Magic's (aka, Hi-Val, Digital research). I bought several Norton softwares during last December, and submitted the upgrade rebates right away with required items, Guess what, until today I got only one of them, and it has been almost 6 months. I guess they are testing my memory but unfortunately I kept a good record of every rebate I submitted. That's what we should do if we are going to buy Symantec softwares with rebates involved, although the best thing I would recommend is to avoid as long as you can.

Rating: Summary: Not really a review Review: No, actually your Mac is NOT infected. The current round of Windows e-mail viruses forges the return address. You aren't spreading viruses, you aren't infected.
Rating: Summary: Solid product Review: Norton Antivirus 8.0 for Mac does what it's supposed to do and does it well. I can't speak about the OS 9 version, but the MacOS X version runs quietly in the background and has never caused any conflicts or problems on my OS X machines. The new version 9.0 also addresses the PC virus issue brought up by another reviewer here. Four stars for a very solid product.
