Rating: Summary: MP3 Editor by Data Becker Review: A good Basic edit program for mp3s,easy to use and understand. The help menu is a little lacking but anybody with moderate experience can figure out the control functions and there is a printable manual on the cd. You can't beat the price.
Rating: Summary: Save your money Review: I've found MP3 Editor to be completely useless. You cannot make a CD from your MP3 files with it and the editing is too limited. I can't even adjust the volume of the whole song easily. Plus, I bought it because it had a rebate which now [I'm being denied] by saying that my receipt was dated outside of the offer, making this software a double ripoff.
Rating: Summary: This is ... Review: Most people do not need an MP3 editor, because they use songs ripped by others. However, if you are like me, who wants to convert all the collections from albums and cassettes to MP3, this is a must. I use MusicMatch JukeBox, version 6.1 for converting the whole side of an album or cassette to a large MP3 file. That file may be 20 to 50 minutes long, and it may contain many songs. After that, I load that file into this editor by Data Becker. I can visually see the separation of songs, and easily identify for cutting each one out. I haven't seen any other program with this capability. Also, this program is exceptionally fast. It reads the large composite file in a minute, and saves the individual pieces on your hard drive in just a few seconds. I was very pleased to see the speed. Also, there is no limit on file size. I left one speech to convert to MP3, went away, and when I came back, the file was 200 minutes long (amazingly over three hours long!) with most of it being blank. With any other program I would have started all over again rather than coaxing hours of headache reading and editing unwanted portion. But this MP3 Editor read the whole file in three minutes, removed the unwanted blank space in one minute, and saved the clean product back on hard drive in another couple of minutes. That one incidence alone was worth to me the price of 20 bucks + shipping. Now my dream is coming true, I will be able to convert all life's collection into MP3, most comfortably.

Rating: Summary: Outstanding value Review: This is a great little program. I copy audiocassette books into MP3 files so I can listen to them on one burned disk rather than carry around a bunch of tapes in the car, and this program allows me to easily remove dead spaces and empty space at the beginning and end of the tapes. It's very easy to use and the applications are innumerable. You can cut and paste almost to the bit level. A terrific value.
Rating: Summary: This is ... Review: This program is good at creating fade in/out, and might do splicing, but it does not do what they claim it will do. In their advertising they say, "Dude. Who knows where that MP3's been? Clean it up. Kill clicks and beeps. Cut. Edit. Mix. Make it your own. And Enjoy." It will not "clean up" an MP3. It is a cut and paste program. You can cut and remove a portion of the song that has a click, but it won't edit out noises, which is what I bought it for. And it has a somewhat difficult interface. This program ....
Rating: Summary: OMISSION Review: What the product description above doesn't tell you is, that the manufacturer certifies that this product will ALSO RUN ON NT4 (requires SP6) but don't take my word for it, here's the link to look for yourself:http://www.databecker.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=Databecker&category%5Fname=&product%5Fid=30103 I don't have the product yet, that was the first thing I wanted to check. And I have no clue why Amazon[.com] decides for me that I am a gamer because I want to remain anonymous, but I am not a gamer (I know, you don't care, I do).
