Review: My daughter and I decided to learn how to play the guitar. The Guitar coach software was delivered to my office, and I made a special trip home so she could install it and begin using it later that day. When I got home later that day, I asked her how she liked the software, and she just shrugged. After trying to figure it out, I knew why. The very first lesson made no sense to someone new, the videos are very simple and short, they seem to just skip some fundamental lessons in fingering, what frets are, etc. Our overall impression is that the software just simply makes no sense, isn't at all useful, and probably took about three hours to make. It just seems to be various bits and pieces of guitar method thrown together. And, in just you case you think we may just not have any musical knowledge, I play a sax and sing in three groups and my daughter plays the piano and sings in an advanced ensemble at school. And of course, once you open the package you can't return it to [Amazon.com], so you may want to be sure you try this product some other way before buying it.
