Summary: All Around Great DVD player
Review: The product does exactly what it claims, and does it well: It plays DVDs. While the program is not absolutely perfect, it well deserves, the 5 stars rating I gave it.Strong points:
The program is convenient. It supports Autoplay, meaning it can start up and play a DVD automatically as soon as you insert it into the drive. It also allows you to load up VOB files (DVDs that were extracted onto your harddrive) which few other DVD players I've encountered allowed you to do. CyberLink PowerDVD also allows you to emulate surround sound from a 2 speaker configuration, and the results were surprisingly good. Weak point:
My only complaint with the program is that when you adjust the volume in the DVD player, it merely adjusts your entire system's volume, meaning making the DVD louder also makes any other sound coming from your computer louder. This results in, for example, very loud ICQ beeps if you get ICQed while watching a DVD. They should have normalized the sound in software, similar to how mp3 players adjust the gain in sounds in their equalizer features. Conclusion:
Except for that one weakness, which I hope will be fixed in future releases, this is an excellent program for watching DVDs on your computer.

Summary: Pretty Cool
Review: This came with my DVD drive and it is pretty cool. I had to get on-line to actually figure it out how to operate all of the buttons and I'm still learning the features but this is a great buy to view DVDs.
