Summary: TRAKTOR is an incredible tool.....easy to use
 Review: HEY ALL,

I have been nusing TRAKTOR DJ 2 for about 5 months now. A lot of folks out there balk at the idea of DJ'ing with mp3's or a computer. Initially I was totally on the same page as them..............but................alas...............I have been swayed BIGTIME!

The first myth I would like to get out of the way :

"THE COMPUTER DOES ALL THE WORK FOR YOU!"

 flat out wrong......

Yoou have to know your tunes......know how to mix them together............know how to rock a party..........know how to beat match.

essentially its a piece of software that really requires that you KNOW HOW TO DJ!

 some of the features include:

the ability to loop tracks, the ability to time and pitch shift tracks, the ability to bring hundreds if not thousands of tunes to a gig as to not get locked into playing the same set all of the time. SOUND QUALITY is superior and does not degrade****, the ability to filter tracks..

this is just the tip of the iceberg though.

two things you should know beofre jumping in.

 1. Get a soundcard for your laptop to use with this software. I suggest buying the ECHO INDIGO DJ card..( around 149.00 )....this will fit into your PCM-CIA slot on your laptop. This will enable you to split the output so you can listen to one song ( CUE ) while the club here's the other song.......

 2. Buy a midi controller to control the software.,.....I do not suggest just using the soundcard and the laptop.............this will be frustrating for you as a lot of the features the software offers you are easier to take advantage of if you have some sort of controller. I suggest M-AUDIO's OXYGEN 8 keyboard ( also around 149.00 ). You will thank me for this.........it takes the whole thing to another level altogether, makes it a more musical experience.

**** you must convert your CD's and VINYL wisely........if you do..........you'll be very happy.........bad vinyl conversions and poor quality mp3's will sound.............well............horrible..............convert with caution and precision********

ok.........enough of my ranting............check this software out and enjoy it..........ITS THE FUTURE AND ITS NOT GOING AWYAY! (...)
