Summary: A Great Program!
Review: I am no computer wizard and I am having a ball with this program. I use WAVE rather than midi, The program is really designed for midi, and have good recordings of my brother and I playing our tunes,(keyboard and guitar),transferred to CD. The sound is exceptional. Using WAVE you can record 4 different tracks and balance the sound. With Midi the possibilities are limitless. I have yet to learn all of the program's features,(tutorial included for us dummies). Want to simply record your guitar playing on a CD? This program is for you!

Summary: Just another Midi Sequencing program
Review: I am sorry, but I have to differ from the other reviewers on this one. In the mid-eighties, Voyetra made one of the very first midi sequencing programs. It was called "Sequencer Gold", it ran on DOS, and I started off with it. Voyetra was ahead of the pack in those early days.

Since then, Voyetra took over an excellent soundcard manufacturer (Multisound) and changed their product line from pro-audio to consumer-level gaming soundcards. Voyetra also brought out Digital Orchestrator. This program is plain mediocre in my point of view - and not very stable. Furthermore, support is not very good.

I much prefer Cakewalk. With Cakewalk you can "paint" in modulation, velocity changes, etc - a task which will take a long time in Digital Orchestrator. There are of course the big guns as well - programs like Cubase and Logic Audio. Because I am mainly into Digital Audio, these are overkill for me.

If you are on a Windows PC and have medium level needs for MIDI, yet something reasonably sophisticated and with time-saving functions, I recommend you stick with Cakewalk. If you are a technology-challenged beginner with lots of patience and a small budget, then maybe buy Digital Orchestrator.

Review: This is a wonderful, easy-to-use piece of software for constructing digital audio tracks and MIDI tracks...and it's really simple to learn. I'm just a lousy beginner, and I mastered this bit in no time. There are tons of great MIDI sounds on here, and lots of options out there make this the funnest product for producing music. I would recommend this to those who are just trying out MIDI sequencers. It's a lot of fun, very cool, and very easy. Without the quality and many options this software provides, I wouldn't be producing what other people call beautiful MIDI tracks. I can go on chanting about the wonders of this software, but I will say now that it is definitely worth your money. Cakewalk should walk the plank, if you know what I mean.

Review: With a little music knowledge and creativity, this program can help you produce master pieces. The on screen tutorial was very helpful. You definately need to do the tutorial before you get into it. I highly recomend you try this program. It's a hoot
