Summary: Waste of money - shareware
Review: Nearly all the games and screensavers are shareware. The themes are sooo stupid and simple (you can download better themes at any website such as tucows). The extra features of the windows media player have no use at all. What a waste of money... Save your money and buy something else.

Summary: Not "The poop" unfortunately
Review: Aside from some pretty cute visualizations for Media Player 8,(Munch form the X Box freaking out in his wheel chair ect.) the rest of the application is pretty dry. The MP3-WMP compressing program is not all that to boot.It was designed to save HD space by turning MP3's into Windows Media Format. If you are like me, and you like you music above 128b, You can set it all the way up over 190, but it DOES NOT save any HD space, infact, it may use more. Also, the playlist function or "Personal DJ," is not even up to the standard, in my book, of most MP3 players out there. (I.E Sonique, Winamp, and Media Player)It does however, contain some pretty neat 3D screen savers, and like I said, 3D visualizations for Media player. I really don't think that it is worth the money that it is on the retail market for. It should really be a free piece of software included with all XP operating systems.

Summary: why did i ignore the overwhelmingly negative reviews???
Review: Aside from the few neat things everyone already mentioned, this is nothing but a scam to put an amount of money we're not allowed to mention in the pockets of microsoft shareholders--oops, I mean microsoft executives. the voice command for media player, which along with the free aquarium I paid for was the only neat (if admittedly not very useful feature) inexplicably stopped working after a few hours. If you need any more proof that microsoft is one big racket, by all means purchase this slickly packaged piece of dog crep.

Summary: Microsoft Shareware
Review: I bought the Plus program because of the fish aquarium. It has stunning realistic graphics but only has three fish. To get more you have to buy the third party upgrade. The bowling game is the same. You have to buy a third party game to unlock more bowling lanes. All the multimedia programs are a waste of money and disk space. I would not have bought this program if I had known it was "shareware." I could have gotten the aquarium program by itself with all the fish I want for less money. Overall a poor buy.

Summary: Save the $$$ and eat out instead.
Review: Nothing mind blowing here at all. Unless your REALLY into themes, leave it. I found the themes cumbersome and intrusive, especially the Media Player skins. The games were shareware. Wow.

The speaker enhancement is, not. It made my speakers (I actually had a model they supported) sound more muted, like they were behind a piece of sheet-rock. Maybe that's the effect they wanted, I don't know.

MS called me and they were doing a poll on Plus! I told them them it was BAD and said that it simply didn't have enough features (if you call what it had "features"). They told me about certain features they were thinking of putting in the next version and they did sound pretty great. So wait for the next one.

BTW: I uninstalled it the same day I tried it.

Summary: Plus! doesn't quite live up to it's name
Review: I'll keep this short and sweet... It's a waste of money. What you get as additional items are lack-luster, nothing out of the ordinary, and in the case of "Aquarium", incomplete; you have to buy more fish. Even the CD Label Maker is rather limited in it's design features. Far better products out there

Summary: Very Nice Features But A Little To Expensive
Review: I bought Microsoft Plus! for Windows XP dispite the bad reviews i have already read here. I wasn't disappointed. The features i use the most are the games: bowling, labyrinth, and russian square. They are really addictive and can be annoying if you cant win. The voice controlled media player is great. It took a few minutes to tune it up and make it work but it was well worth it. Now i can surf the web and just command windows media play to play whatever i want. The CD Label maker is also a great assest to use. before i had to handwrite them and that was a pain. The graphics are just absolutely stunning. the themes are incredible (I like the aquarium) and you can make your own screensavers.

The only thing i don't get is the mp3-WMA converter. It does cut down on spcae a little but the quality is not as good, besides space is not an issue for me. The thing that puzzles me the most is the the personal DJ. There is absolutely no use for it. All it is a playlist. It is a useless feature that i will never use. The last thing is it is a little to expensive. You are getting a lot of great features but they could have put them on regular XP. Overall a nice product.

Summary: I Must Be Easily Entertained....
Review: I am not a computer Geek or Internet Savvy but I am delighted with this software. The different Themes are amazing visually including the sounds contained within, I find myself using the personal DJ to make CD's because it easy and the Label Maker works for me! Some features I don't use because I have no need to but for all of us who can use a little entertainment after a hard day at work I recommend this software. My favorite features are the Photo screen savers, I have over one hundred pictures that carousel across my screen programed with my favorite music. You just can't beat it!
Now for the bad news, If you own a bottom of the line computer this software is not going to work, even after reading the specs I was sure my computer was capable of handling this software, sadly it wasn't. I had to go out and buy a high end video card to download Microsoft Plus for Windows XP. Personally it WAS worth it! I say buy it and enjoy it! How many Video games have you purchased for the same price that you never use? I promise you'll use this much more often!

Summary: Stay away from this one
Review: I was dumb enough to purchase this. The packaging is great, but the product stinks. It caused havoc on my brand new laptop. Plus moved my originally loaded games files (ie, spider solitaire, solitaire, freecell etc.) into my system 32 file along with MANY of the the accessories files. I ended up being so frustrated because I could not system restore prior to loading Plus and didn't want to manually move files that I just reinstalled my whole system.

My advice, enjoy XP the way it is! Forget this one!

Summary: Bill Gates Does not deserve your money for this one
Review: I wasted money on this, please do not do the same. This is like a collection of shareware that Bill wants you to pay for. I can understand why, Bill is not making enough to live on these days :(

Buy something worth while with your money and don't end up feeling like a fool like I do.

The games all want you to pay for updates (2 player, extras, etc.) SHAREWARE at 29.99 a pop, after BUYING this program. UTTER garbage.

The screensavers all have something for you to spend more money on.
