Summary: McAffee reject
Review: I bought the utility in attempt to clean out invalid program/application links embedded in my Win2000 Registry. It identified 39, of which I only felt comfortable deleting one of them. By contrast I download the demo for Registry First Aid and it identified several hundred invalid links to programs/applications. -The word LAME comes to mind when I think about QuickClean 3.0. Don't waste your money!

Summary: Virtually Useless
Review: The main problem with this is that the majority of the tasks it performs can just as easily be done using the Windows XP system tools or Help and Support center. Also, you could seriously harm your system if you don't know exactly what you're doing. Fails to detect spyware; Lavasoft's AdAware is much better. I suppose QuickClean would be fine if it were much cheaper, but it is definitely not worth the price.

Summary: XP compatible as well...
Review: Though it doesn't state it (at least at the time of this review) on the [web page]listing for QuickClean 3.0, it will also work on Microsoft Windows XP (which I have).

QuickClean helps you to quickly and safely remove many different types of junk on your hard drive, everything from invalid registry entries to incomplete applications. One of my favorite features of this program is the Uninstaller function, which can be set up to help remove those remnants of programs that you have removed from your computer.

QuickClean 3.0 improves upon its 2.0 predecessor mainly with the fact that McAfee has cleaned up the homepage. It is much easier to access the various functions within the program. In addition, it is also much easier to use the Instant Updater that comes with it to update not only QuickClean, but your other McAfee programs as well.

If you don't have this product, then it is definately worth buying. If you already have QuickClean 2.0, you can hold off spending the money on this new version unless you are able to get it for a very good price.
