Rating: Summary: Asheron's Call: Dark Majesty Expansion Pack Review: Asheron's Call: Dark Majesty Expansion Pack is truly a 5 star game
Rating: Summary: Remember the drawbacks Review: Try to remember if you want to buy this that microsoft customer service is laughable. You can be prevented from playing (server down time) every time you have the chance to play, but they will not even consider a refund. they really dont care about you, because they know that you want to play the game. Regrettably, asherons call (albeit fun) is still just a hack and slash game, where the ability to create a simulated life and adventure is lacking. Those who write rave reviews are noy lying about the addictive qualities, but just remember there are many drawbacks. In a year, ego should be coming out on the x-box. thsi game offers the first chance for true role-playing fanatics to have their cake and eat it too. Good luck.
Rating: Summary: it is cool Review: it is cool i like it. im ten. i play it. i no guys who r old. thy play it 2. cool huh?
Rating: Summary: This game couldn't possibly stink more... Review: Unstable...is the bottom line. I think I lost track of the number of patches I have had to install. The graphics are nice, the gameplay is poor, and the lag is friggin terrible. Funcom is losing more and more customers each day from this game. I got caught expecting the best and signed on for a 6 month mistake. Don't do the same. Wait for a game that actually tests their software and executes successful betas before they release. This CD now serves as my drink coaster to remind me of my mistake
Rating: Summary: A great way to end a stressful day at work Review: I love spending "down-time" after a long day at work hanging around town chatting with friends, or heading out on a quest for magical items. Nothing cures cold-weather cabin fever better than a romp across the wide open areas in the land of Dereth.I have been playing Asheron's Call since the original release and every member of my family has a character of their own. We have to ration computer time...even with the 5 year-old. -Gorf of Wintersebb
Rating: Summary: Nothing else compares.. yet Review: I've been playing for a year now, and am still addicted! AC may not have the best in graphics at this time (untill AC-2) but no other online gaming experiences offers the monthly updates and evolving story line like AC does... to me, that in itself makes it most worthy of my gaming time =)I would recommend this game to anyone of any age.. great time lapser.
Rating: Summary: THE ORIGINAL GAME ROCKS! AND THE EXPANSION WOULD BE BETTER!! Review: Look...I have played practically every well known online game such as Ultima Online, Everquest, or even Anarchy online...and let me say Asheron's Call goes so over all them in every way! combat interface better, magic system is better, even chatting is easier and better. this game is for ANYONE willing to pay the $10 bucks monthly, and beleive me they are worth it!
Rating: Summary: WOW! Review: I am beyond excited about this game! I know it offers so much! If you love role playing, adventure games, this is for you! I know it hasn't been released yet, but it promises to be amazing! Houses, storage, QUESTS, monsters, etc. will be such an improvement to this already great game! Trust me- buy it...
Rating: Summary: Put away your dice and hex maps! Review: Where was this game 20 years ago when I was throwing dice and painting little metal figures. If you were brought up on D&D, Tunnels & Trolls and Runequest this game(?)is for you. My son and all my friends (and his friends!)meet up online and form fellowships. There are tons of quests and new stuff to kill and loot. For me, I want a condo in Qual. For the faint hearted, stay out of Teth...
