Summary: Multiplayer is TERRIBLE!
Review: Okay, multiplayer is TERRIBLE!

If you're looking to spend loads of time downloading mandatory buggy patches, and you're looking to attract obnoxious teenage boys and men with bad attitudes and personal issues, then multiplayer is definately for you. Anyone with a bad attitude can kill your character and take anything you've worked for in the game, and the bugginess of the patches randomly closes the game or kicks you out of the game.

D2 has so much potential, but Blizzard and Battle.net really need to work on how well they serve their consumers, otherwise people may be wary about the purchasing of future Diablo - related products.

Summary: This game is more fun than a barrelof evil cows!!!
Review: Diablo II rules!!! Although this game has kept me up all night, it still rocks! It's kinda like an rpg. You have to gain levels There are 5 different classes of characters that you can choose from. They are Sorceress, Barbarian, Necromancer, Amazon, and Palidan. I thought it was all over when I beat up Diablo, but there are two more difficulty levels after normal. They are nightmare and hell. Also, there is a secret cow level and battle.net!! The secret cow level is full of man's worst enemy evil cows, and the cow king. Don't underestimate them, they are hard. So overall this game it the best game ever!!!!!!!!!

Summary: One of the best games I have ever played
Review: Well I too went through the addiction of the Original Diablo and I have to say that this is a great improvement. The first one was interesting for a week, but it became repetitive later. The second one greatly solves this problem. I have to say that it is very addicting. I played alot for the first month or so, but then i played less, than not at all. About a month later, I go and put in the game and before i knew it, the addiction came back. I always come back to this great game. The graphics aren't the greatest, but the gameplay is the most important. You could see great graphics, but you would get used to them and not care anymore. With great gameplay, there is always fun to come back to. The great choice of how to develop your character was awsome. I loved the large variety of items. The game is virtually "bug-free". The cutscenes for this game were top-notch. Multiplayer is free and fun. There is a new secure method of trading. The game is compelling and addicting. There were only a few downsides. Some of the items (such as set items and some uniques) were useless. Multiplayer can be frusterating for the lag (Blizzard has reduced this by making a new realm). It's hard to find someone you can trust on multiplayer since many try to scam you into cheap trades or steal your account which means you have to be protective of your password and characters. Well in the end, the pros far outway the cons and if you liked games like Starcraft or the first Diablo you will love this one. I warn you that this game will occupy your life. You won't be able to think or do anything besides play this game. No one can actually understand how addicting it is until they have played it. Even now I have to get back to playing it and catching up on the expansion news. So I say to you that you should definetly buy this game if you liked the other fine titles that Blizzard has made, but you should wait to play it till you have some serious time on your hands. You have been warned :).

Summary: Very fun, but not perfect
Review: Here is for the game designers...just in case you read this...1) what I like about Diablo II...five character classes, cool spells, lots of magical items, unlimited replayability, the BEST character development system of any RPG, the way different items change your character's appearance. What I DONT LIKE-all the little useless magical items I find all the time, the way you need a bazillion XP points to raise levels after say, oh, level twenty eight or so (the monsters are NOT worth enough points on higher difficulty levels!), the game is a memory pig, the monsters are WAY TOO HARD to fight on nightmare, and IMPOSSIBLE on hell. I had to get my friend to hack me a 93rd level paladin to finally win the game (he has over 4000 hit points, does about 1,500 points of damage, and yes he has been killed on Hell difficulty level). The bigest disappointment of all...the ending. I beat Diablo on Hell, I got a few magical items...and...nothing. The game did not start over (like I had hoped it would, so I could redo all those quests), and the magical items were nothing all that great. I think there should be some way to restart the quests, so the player can collect more skill points. They are way too difficult to come by after you reach a high level. One cool thing I found out about is the cow level. Beat the game once, go to the first act, put Writ's leg in the hordradic cube with a full blue and brown book, combine, and walla! A gate to the cow level! It's full of enemies which look like cows. They have lots of treasure too.

Summary: I hope you don't actually think this is a roleplaying game.
Review: Of all the oversold software of the past several years, this stands out in my mind as the perfect example of the negative trends in computer game design. Please don't fall into the same hole I have seen many others fall into and believe this is a roleplaying game. It is in fact a disgrace to the genre, with no elements that have made RPG's great. There are no choices to make, no important dialogues, no roleplaying elements at all.

Blizzard needs to realize that character statistics, dungeons, and monsters do not an RPG make. It has more in common with Space Invaders than great RPG's such as the Ultima series and Fallout. It will not make you think. It will not fascinate you. It will make you sit at your computer, staring blankly at wave after wave of the same ol' demons as you repetitively destroy them with one of 5 actually useful spells. Addictive? Maybe. but there are much better things to spend your time doing, and much better games to spend your money on.

Summary: Strangely addictive
Review: I was a big fan of Diablo I, but I found it to be slow because the characters were not allowed to run and also the town was too big. Many of the people in town are useless. The only helpful people are Wirt, the witch, and Griswold. But Diablo II changed all that. The towns are smaller and almost everyone is helpful in some way. Also, Diablo II focuses more on quests rather than just the typical "go and kill diablo" style of play. You can actually return to Tristram in one of the quests, but really it is nothing but to rescue Deckard Cain. The characters are amazing. Advice:

1. Barbarian- when this game first came out, swords were much in demand and many players began to max sword mastery. That has changed dramatically. Now players have found out that lances/spears are more effective and do more damage. Also, lances are more effective in whirlwinds. When you get to level 30, max out whirlwind. Put some points on iron skin and natural resistance because defense is important to barbs.

2. Necromancer- in early levels, put one or two points on corpse explosion. Some on skeleton and skeleton mastery. When you have the capability to get blood golem, max that and golem mastery. There is a cheat for necromancer, but it takes long to explain. You have to go out and raise a clay golem, then u let the golem get killed. Then go and raise a iron golem and let that get killed, then raise a blood golem and let that get killed, then finally raise a fire golem and let that get killed. Now, let urself die and start back in town. Type "Summoner" and look in ur stash. U will find something special.

TOO lazy to do the rest, vote for me and look in the future

Summary: Best Game Ever
Review: Diablo II is easily the greatest computer game ever except for possibly counter-strike, but that is in a whole different genre. People who critize this game for being a simple hack and slash game are probably the same people who play a game for 5 minutes and if they dont like it, return it, and complain to everyone they know how its the worst game ever. If u try to play Hardcore Mode, where if ur guy dies, hes gone permanently, by just clicking the mouse over and over, ur guy is gonna be dead by level 12. The game requires immense strategy and item choice. U must make sure u make the right skill choices throughout the game and use the correct weapons, armors, etc.. to make ur guy as powerful as possible. O, and dont forget, the game has many thousands of different unique, rare, and set items to try to collect, use, and trade. If u give this game a chance, ull become addicted to it, and find urself playing it everyday for like 6 months, like me
