Summary: Awesome game!
Review: Diablo 2 is not the type of game I would normally be interested in. I care little for RPGs in general, and am just not into the sort of medieval "swords and sorcery" theme of the game's storyline. However, I love Diablo 2. Few games have taken up as much of my free time as this one has. It is one of the most enjoyable and absorbing games on the market today.

Building your player/character is one of the highlights of Diablo 2. There are 5 character classes to choose from: Barbarians, Amazons, Sorceresses, Necromancers, and Paladins. Each of these is radically different from each other and provides an entirely different gaming experience. My favorite is the Necromancer: a spellcaster who can raise the dead and, among his other bizarre talents, explode the corpses of slain enemies in order to damage others standing near it. I don't know why, but seing this in action just never gets old to me. Each character also has 3 different skill trees, and gameplay varies even more depending on skills you choose to emphasize. Thus, an Amazon who specializes in the use of bows will play entirely differently from one who emphasizes the use of spears or javelins. Most character classes can also be crafted in a way emphasizes teamwork with other players online if you enjoy fighting alongside friends.

The graphics are a little dated and the storyline becomes repetitive, but who cares? It's gameplay that counts, and Diablo 2 contains hours and hours of it. I am just now, after many months of owning the game, beginning to tire of playing in single-player mode. Playing with other people online (plus the release of the Lord of Destruction expansion pack) has renewed my interest, though, and I think I will still be thoroughly entertained by this game for at least another year or two.

Summary: Repetitive ClickFest
Review: At first, I thought this game was good. The graphics are not very visually pleasing but the lighting affects were very nice. There were several different characters each with their own abilities and such. But with each waking moment I grew more and more bored, and my mouse grew more and more worn out as all I basically had to do was point at something and click like crazy till it was dead, not very entertaining. To add insult to injury, the monsters I was encountering were pretty much the same old beasts with a new outfit on, and maybe a different attack or special ability.

Sure, there are tons of collectable items, and Blizzard claims that the items you wear change your appearance (A half-truth as boots, gloves, and jewelry do not show up on your character). But you can only do the same thing over and over so much. The game's "quests" from what I've encountered are basically you go here, kill this boss and come back. Sure, there may be a few things you need to do, like a grab an item from point a, an item from point b, and put them in point c; but the basic premise still stands.

The game has it's merits, they did spend a great deal of time making the full motion video cut scenes beautiful (ala SquareSoft), and there are alot of items, and the areas are fairly sizable, and the load times are next to nil (since the entire game is on your hard drive instead of on the cd like diablo 1).

The install process is slow and requires you to swap several disks including one with large movies on it (you should have the option of not viewing movies in any game). But the uninstall takes mere seconds. Which leads me to believe the game doesn't get fully uninstalled. I also hear the multiplayer is very fun (which can make the worst games great).

What honestly kills the game in my opinion? The constant need to click the mouse in a rapid fasion (the alternative is to hold the button down, which is just as bad), and the repetitiveness (which is also a major flaw in Phantasy Star Online).

If mindless clicking is your cup of tea, then by all means pick up a copy today. But otherwise save your cash.

Summary: Gets Borning
Review: The reason i gave this game 2 stars was the fact that u can only beat act 4 so many times. Sure, at first this was instantly my favorite game. But after about a month, there was nothing left to do. I had the best items in the game, i tore diablo a new one, and beat the thing on every level. I would recommend just borrowing this one from a friend, because it isnt worth playing for very long....

Summary: I reccomend this game- but a few points
Review: This is quite a good game, and I am addicted. My problem is balancing Tribes 2 and TFC, as well =) I like this game but I had a problem today. I got the game only a week ago, and I am a level 13 sorceress. I was out in the Dark Wood slaughtering some hapless Hungry Dead when two people, level 99 barbarians were talking: "where is she?" "hey *namehere* do u know where she is?" "Me?" I asked, and one of them said "yeah where r u" so I said "Waaay out in the Dark Wood". I had no idea the barb would find me, he did, and chopped me in half with his sword. He took my 5000 gold. I asked him 5 times to stop killing me, but he said nothing. After being slaughtered 6 times I finally found away around him and grabbed my stuff. I ran as fast as I could, but he found me and managed to hit me once. I ran out of stamina, so as quickly as I could I exited the game, mere feet away from his sword. I then started my own game and used half my health potions. So if you beware the jerks, Diablo2 is a very good game.

Summary: Spen dyour money on something else!
Review: My friend bought this game and was and still is obbsessed with it! He kept telling me how great it was and I went over and tried it out. Big whoop all you have to do is point and click and have an IQ of at least 5. There is no point to buying this game. Now my friend bores my with long conversations on how he could make his guy better or why they are so good in the first place.

P.S. This game is a waste of time and money don't get it!! Also If this form had a 0 star I would give it that!!

Summary: Diablo II is one of the best RPGs EVER !!!!
Review: Diablo II is amazing!!! Not only are the graphics 20x better than the original this game actually surpasses the first plot wise which very few games can do. While the first Diablo was mainly about saving the small town of tristrem and saving the kings lost son this one was much more envolved. Mainly this Diablo game is about how the character from the first game (the dark wonderer) transforms into diablo (you have to see the end of the first diablo to know why he does) and he is getting together with his brother Baal and Mephesto to turn the world of the living to an eternal outpost of HELL. Only the powers of one mortal assisted somewhat by the angel of light Terial can destroy the soulstones and stop the 3 prime evils from ever returning to the world of the living. This is one game that is not to be missed if you love an intriguing plot along with alot of gore and killing of monsters make sure to pick up Diablo II today trust me YOU WILL LOVE IT!!
