Summary: It's fun and a great time-waster.
Review: I played it (the free trial) for 15 days and I can only say that the nay-sayers are WAY too into their mmorpg's.

The game is fun, relaxed, and played at great speed with great graphics on my PC (which is not anywhere near top-of-the-line because I already HAVE an XBOX).

I'm not pandering to microsoft here, but as long as you have some social skills, this game is enough that so long as you make friends, it could be the most fun you've had in ages.

Review: There is nearly no one online!
Dont waste 30 Bucks for this game, its really not worth it. Yes, it has nice grafics but thats it. Go for Star Wars Galaxies, UO or EQ.

Review: Now that Shadowbane has released and Star Wars Galaxies has lifted the NDA, it is very clear that most MMORPG players have had their expectations for "2nd generation" games raised to unrealistic levels.

Each of these games has their share of flaws. To get the latest, visit the Vault Network message boards or those of another game site. All of the major MMORPGs are represented there.

In the end, each game will appeal to a different class of players. Do yourself a favor: check the developer game sites and the message boards and then make a decision that suits your play style.

Summary: Asheron's call 2 review after month and a half play time
Review: I have played this game on both my husband and my computers by network and at first it was really great looking. Nice graphics, which really draws you to the game. But a month later, my husband and I both have a lvl 32, 16 and 22 character and the lvl cap is still at only 50 for last 8 months since game was released. Quest content is very limited and they have a patch every month that totally changes your character so you have to put skill pts back into a different class if you don't like the changes they make to the characters like spells etc. This month they totally nerfed the Defender class and took away it's vigor heal which makes it better to solo creatures. I play a ranger, which now they will be taking dual wielding away from this class and replacing that with traps, some good that will do them. This game is very limited and they try to put new content in every month to spice things up, and there isn't very much new and from the sounds of things this patch, the changes are not good. We just purchased this game but now I think we will be quitting and waiting for Everquest 2 in November, as we have already experienced Everquest 1, if it's anything like EQ1, like I hear, it is going to knock your socks off. Please stay away from this waste of money and get EQ2, you won't be sorry!

Summary: Please, don't do it!
Review: There is nothing special about this game at all. Trust me. I wasted 100 bucks on this game for my wife and I a copy. We spent quite a awhile trying to convince ourselves that the game was fun but it just didn't happen.

The graphics aren't as wonderful as a lot of people say and the gameplay is non-exsistent.

If you want nice graphics and good gameplay try Anarchy Online instead, or even Ultima Online for that matter. Atleast UO has gameplay. I have played just about every MMORPG that there is and this one is by far the worst of them all.

So do yourself a favor and keep your money in your pocket.

System Specs
P4 1.9
256MB Ram
GeForce 4 64MB IT
Cable Internet
Not exactly top of the line but I had to turn all of the graphical options to very low or off.

System Specs
P4 1.8
512MB Ram
GeForce 4 IT 128 MB
Cable Internet
This one has a better video card and more ram but I was able to bring the settings up to High. In group combat (9 players vs. NPCs) however, server lag kills.

Pros:
- Breathtaking graphics
- Monthly updates
- Able to unlearn spells

Cons:
- No real content. Story quest limited to 13. After which you can get a scarce quest here and there.
- No NPC venders. NPCs are only there for quest.
- No use for money except learning smith and whatnot.
- Breathtaking graphics if you have a 128mb video card (Radeon 9700)
- Monthly updates are always an anticlimax.
- Authentication problems when logging on.
- Massive lag if you are fighting with a group of 9.
- Groups are limited to 9 players [...]
- PKers are able to camp zone spots.
- MOST of the game's population has a character at level +40
- The level cap is limited at 50 and will not be removed until September at the earliest.
- Lack of In-Game Admin support.
- No point in towns because there is nothing to do there.
- NPC mobs all look the same but are given different names and strengths.
- Waste of [$$$]

Summary: Worst of the Worst
Review: This is without doubt the worst MMPORPG ever created. It's not buggy. It's not ugly. It's not run poorly. It's just plain and simple boring. A horrible horrible design with no redeeming qualities whatsoever.

This is a total mess. There's a free trial floating around on the net somewhere. Download it and try it for yourself.

It stinks.

Summary: Very Fun
Review: I have lost many hours of sleep because of this game. Since I started playing May 1st, I haven't gone to bed before 3:00 AM.
The Graphics is this game are amazing, high end system HIGHLY recomended. You'll also need a lot of RAM. If you're looking for a MMO to play, this is the best one out right now.

Summary: Don't buy this Game!! Save your money for something better!!
Review: I played beta for AC2 and thought it was not ready by about a year. In March I broke down and bought the game and after the April update I cancelled my account. I played for about a month in a half and was already up to level 47 of 50. The game is sooooo boring I can 't even began to describ it all. I have played EQ, DAoC and UO and liked all those games, this was not like any of those games. In an effort to market the game to a causel gamer they took out so many things that there is nothing to do. Almost every character at the high end game is exactly alike and there is so little armor and such that we all looked alike as well. You can not enter any of the building in the towns and there are no vendors, so going to a town has no point at all. Turbine has indicated that there are currently no plans to allow players to enter buildings.

If you are looking for a TRUE MMORPG look elsewhere. SWG, EQ2 will be coming out soon enough. I would rather play a console game then go back to AC2.

Run very far away from this far from finished product.

Summary: Nice Graphics, Weak Gameplay
Review: This game can only get better but, that will take many fixes and patches. I would suggest checking this game out in late 2004 or early 2005 after its been around a while and most or all of the bugs have been fixed and the game content has been tweaked. As for now, its under populated, lots of bugs and, well, boring. Its too easy and lacks the ability of characters to be truly unique. Awesome graphics, but if your using a slower, older system and a dial-up modem ...... Forget it!

This game is just not ready for prime time...
