Summary: Excellent game, dangerous game.
Review: I'm a 36 yr comp geek. I've played a LOT of games, including MMORP's. If you buy it, you will love it. The money you spend will be TOTALLY irrelevant. Believe people when they say that it can ruin a relationship and/or obliterate a real social life. Its not like twitch games like Quake that you can put down and go to dinner. It's all about sensory and <psychological> immersion, and it does/will do it well. If you expect to find a love life, turn away now. If you already have one, and they're not serious game/computer geeks, start practicing the phrase, "Hi, my name is xxxx. Its been xxx days since I last played Everquest" and imagine youself getting out of bed after they fall alseep to "just make the next level," because it will happen. If you already spend a lot of time alone and expect to continue to do so or just need to escape, this game is spectacularly fun.

Review: Hi. Welcome to the reviews area, where people are reviewing an expansion pack they haven't played yet. It's amazing how this has such a good rating and hasn't even finished development yet.

Summary: EverCrack- the drug for every teen and adult
Review: For all those who actually play Everquest, know what im talking about when i say Everquest is more of a drug, than a game. I am only 16 yrs old and know how to play the game well. This isnt the type of game where you constantly need a CD in your computer to use. All you have to do is install EQ, run the patch (it updates different problems or revises items or spells to ensure the best playtime possible), and sign up. Sure, theres a $50 dollar fee for 6 months of play, but your money is well spent. As of now, there is only one world in EQ, Norrath. Inside Norrath, you can choose from a dozen characters and you can choose from several classes (like a rogue, warrior, magician etc.) Each race may not have the same classes due to historical backgrounds or even intelligence. Theres near a dozen cities, 5 continents, parallel dimensions (where the gods live), and over 112 zones. Don't believe me? Go to www.eqatlas.com for maps on all the zones (areas of land) and info on what creatures and items you can find there. Now, if youve read this far, then you have probably gone farther than i would've before i played the game. With everquest, you can decide how evil, good, strong, smart, and even what you character looks like. There are thousands of weapons and item combinations in the game. Everywhere from tattered cloth to holy armor that you can only get off a creature in the deepest and darkest of places. There is also alot of EQ jargon that floats around, and trust me, if you get this game, you'll catch yourself saying it out loud to someone. Don't get discouraged, you'll learn the terms in no time. Since this is played entirely over the net, every other player is someone in real life. This means you can hook up with other people to fight harder creatures. they can help you when your dying, and you can talk to them and make friends in the game. I myself play on the PVP teams servers (servers where you can kill other players) and its a whole other world compared to the other servers. Servers are like chatrooms. Each one containing the world of norrath. If you make a character on say, Innoruuk server, and you go on the Morell Thule server, he wont be there, or your friends wont be there. Its like crossing into another dimension. PVP servers allow you to kill other races. Which i have just gotten into, and i think its fun as anything. It's also alot harder because ppl kill each other ALOT. but anyway, enought of my babling. There are many secrets inside the game, i wont tell you all of them because i only know some of them. Everytime i play, i solve another secret or learn something new.The new Shadows of Luclin expansion will just be another great big secret for every EQ player, newbie or experienced to discover. So if you have any questions, or you get the game and need help, just give a shout out to these characters. If you go onto the Innoruuk server: chicamacomico-woodelf warrior maroonwolffe- half elf druid and on the vallon zek (PVP teams) server: the almighty and powerful dwarf slayer, WASKAWY wabbit (yes, you get last names when your high enough). well, i'll see you all in game. just another EQphreak

Summary: Well, Duh
Review: If you sit there and play the game day in and day out, then yeah, it is addicting. Thats not 'EQ's fault you can't regulatre yourself. If you can't restrict yourself to so many hours a week, or something, or can't prioritize things above the game, then don't play it. I think it is a fun game, it's definetly a different type of game, you have to make a schedule some days for quests, or spawns and stuff, but, thats up to you to set the days you want to play, and days to 'LIVE'.

I think the new expansion should be worth buying though.

Summary: It's too late
Review: Friends, please carefully consider the consequences of purchasing ANY of the EverQuest products. Before I got involved in EQ, I was a happy man with a life and lots of outside interests to occupy my time. Since I got involved in EQ almost two years ago, my life has changed. The official name of the game is EverQuest, but it is referred to as EverCrack, NeverRest, LevelQuest...and so on.

This game is more addictive than pharmaceutical grade cocaine. I find that my real life friends no longer worry about including me in parties or get togethers...because we are all online now.

I have found that my guild family provides me with fun, entertainment, and companionship. We talk, we hunt, we tell jokes, we enjoy each other's company and it is all done within the realm of Norrath. My friends and I no longer talk about football or basketball. We discuss strategies and conquests in EverQuest.

One last word... please carefully consider your actions friend. Clicking the button to purchase this product could drastically alter your life as you know it. I have ALL of the versions of EverCrack, and will continue to buy them as they come out. I am an EQ junkie, and I freely admit this. My qualifications for reviewing this game? Hmmm... two separate accounts with 4 level 50+ characters as well as several others of varying levels.

Good luck to you friend!

Summary: Sick but addicting
Review: Everquest is about the sickest game on the market, not sick as in gorey or sick as in bad, sick as in it is the BEST game on the market, EQ atm has over 300,000 current suscribers, and with the expansion to allow NEW graphics to pump up the play ability this game will be a show stopper, Be prepared to throw away months of your life for this game, its well worth it.

Summary: GOT TO HAVE IT.. GREAT
Review: Well here goes . 1st of all this is the best on line game I have ever played and I have played alot (Diablo 1 & 2,, and all the half life games just as an example)..They do not even compare to the never ending game play and story line that EQ has to offer. Along with all the Quests and epics to do, You will also meet great people to play with , Most are great...I love the game for the fact that most of the people that play seem to be adults...

And as for the per month [charge]it is well worth it ( how many of you gamers out there have played an online game only after playing for a while find out it gets boring or always have the same ending and same monsters and so on > Well not in EQ always different.. and how many have been playing only to be killed or unable to kill another because of hacks and cheat programs .. I know i have Diablos are great for that as is HALFLIFE. What is the point of having a game to play if you can turn on god mode and never die or can kill others in one swift swing.. EQ will not allow that on there site and if they find it and you have it on your PC hehehe Guess what( that account is disabled FOR LIFE. ) and along with that is the clean language that players use EQ does not allow all that stupid talk... it is possilbe to have your account band for that .. SO, over all this game is good clean uncheatable Fun.. that will last for a long time

I am one of the lucky few whos wife also loves the game we have 2 PCs and 2 accounts and play alot together and are even in the same guild,, this form of fun keeps us playing and enjoying the long Wisconsin winters together.. With all that said i am sure that the new exp. will be even better than the last DO NOT BUY THIS GAME IF YOIU HAVE A REAL LIFE AND A WIFE THAT WILL NOT PLAY... or you will be playing in a small apt. some were with nothing but a PC and some ordered pizza.... thanks for letting right this ..

Elliott (healtune) 47 cleric of the Ashaman guild LUCLIN server
