Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I'm giving it five stars because...
Review: Ultima Online has some of the most out dated graphics you can find today for an MMORPG.

What UO does offer though is excellent gameplay. All the other MMORPG's available to date are so much alike in the ammount of time needed to advance to high levels within the game and there unreplayability. There is a reason why people have been playing UO longer than Everquest has ever been out.

Game play.

If you want pretty visuals, go some place else. UO's 2D model (yes they do offer 3D but who wants that?) is not ugly, its just out dated.

This expansion looks like a very thorough update bringing back a lot of the classic ideas that started the craze for this game. I can't wait. Plus if you pre-order I hear you receive some nifty in-game trinkets.

Summary: The Best Gets Better!!!
Review: With two years of Ultima Online under my belt, I can tell you that this new upgrade will be the best addition yet! The world of Ultima Online has something for everyone and Age of Shadows adds even more. With a new land mass where players can build their own houses, and two new classes of player characters (The Evil Necromancer and the Good Paladin) the land of Britannia is once again the best place on the web to role play!

Summary: First and Best MMORPG ever
Review: At first I was a little nervous about being a part of an online world and hadn't got into it because I just didn't have the time, also I thought that UO online was outdated because of all the newer games out, but after playing the beta version, I really can say it is the most inmersive role playing experience ever, period.

Summary: UO, Free Shards, Other false Reviews
Review: This game is not for people who are impressed by the graphics. I saw on other reviews that it is expenisive because you have must pay for the online service. Not true there are various servers that are free. All you have to do is buy the game then download the file needed to play at ...then apply online for an account and your playing. Ive also heard on other reviews that it is too hard because players just kill you then they take your stuff. Not true in most towns there is a guard system and if anyone attacks you then you call the guards (.guards) and they are dead and in some places they are jailed in a real jail and real time for up to 1 day to a week. If they do kill you then they cant take your stuff in a town anyway. Alex from USA says that this game is not fun because it has cheap grapics. It was made somewhere in the 1990's, but there are other versions that have modern graphics. In conclusion this game has somtimes been called the greatest computer game ever created and many who play it says that it is.

Summary: Ultima Online yet another faliure
Review: Oh my god i can't even begin to talk about how boring this game is. All you do is walk around a baddly made and animated world, killing stupid creatures. Don't be deluded by the low price either, as a matter of fact the creators of the game will acctually leach money out of your banck account, about [$$] every month amounting to a stunning [$$$] a year. I'm sorry but WHO in thier right mind would pay that much for this, AND IT NOT EVEN WORTH IT. You go around getting whiped by super players that play WAY too much. but the wierd thing is even when u manage to struggle up to the top with these super players u get really BORD cos u can beat every thing. And i mean who finds accumulating virtual money, FUN and braging about it afterwards to your friend NOT ME. I would say more bad things but i won't but keep all i said in mind. :)

Summary: Old is New - This is a Good Bet
Review: It is often difficult to decide on a game purchase based only on brief rants or a two-sentence kudo, however in the case of UO:R the decision is not hard; This is the grandfather of the massive multi-player online games, and it is a professionally managed one that includes story-based content, player run as well as official competition, and such a wide variety of opportunity for exclusive fun that it defies the 1K word cap here.

UO represents proof to the idea that you get out of a thing what you put into it. Your efforts and your time are in that respect well-spent here! The gaming engine provides more than adequate immediate gratification, and despite the fact that the graphics are 2D, they are still awesome to behold.

Put simply? BUY THIS GAME - but be warned, it is highly addictive.

Summary: old version but worth buying
Review: this game is pretty much out of date, since there are to new versions out, the newst being "Blackthorns Revenge". this version is in 2D, but still has outstanding graphics. i also have the "Third Dawn" version which is 3D and is newer than the "Renaissance" version which is 2D, but i use the 2D version because my computer doesn't run well with the 3D version. so i come to the conclusion that if u have a computer with 3D probs, get the 2D version, but if your computer is in good shape, get "Blackthorns Revenge", the newest version. Ultima Online is a most.
