Summary: A Must for Mother's DAy
Review: Most mother's have never played a computer role playing game (if they are over 40). What a way to get them started! I have been eagerly awaiting this game and have not been disappointed. My sons convinced me that this was the BEST - cutting edge - wonderful graphics - I could become the woman of my own fantasy world! The idea that I can create my own FEMALE character with infinite powers makes this totally appealing. I feel like Wonder Woman - action - vision. The worlds go on and on.The prerelease accolades will pale in comparison to those received after purchasing and playing the game. Be ready for the most exciting RPG ever! If you don't own it, you will ask someone to loan it. If you love your mother, get her the collector's edition - she will know you really care. What fun! A Mother

Summary: Over Rated - Try Dungeon Siege or Diablo
Review: While some of what they say is true, i.e. incredibly expansive universe, you can go where you want, so much to look at and do, etc.. the interface is just not that great. Movement is just to slow, takes forever to get from one place to another, quests send you back and forth to places and you waste time just walking from one place to the next. Combat is also kind of weak, not much fun. If you played Diablo, it was much better in that game. I guess I found the whole game just a bit "clunky." I have started to play Dungeon Siege, and that game is much better, better graphics, better combat, easier to use, etc. I was also a big fan of Diablo. I realize it may just be me, and many like this game, but I was dissapointed.

Summary: Best game on the market!!!!
Review: For all those who thought the rpg genre was dead then look no further. Morrowind is without a doubt the most immersive game that I have ever played. Everything is amazing. The world is HUGE and you can roam every piece of land on the map. Including swimming if you prefer. The graphics are jaw dropping & the thing that completely won me over was the fact that you can approach this game however you want. You can join guilds, travel solo, follow the main storyline or do anything that you want. It is amazing. I could go on forever about this game but what's the point. If you want an unbelieveable rpg gaming experience then check out this game, and if you don't believe me just wait for the reviews to start pouring in. GET THIS GAME!!!!

Review: If you've played many pc games in your life no doubt you are quite used to buggy games that don't work of the box. It's something I guess we better get used to as more and more games are shipped out in this sorry state. I guess it's too much to ask
for a[n expensive] game to actually work correctly.

Review: gameplay is well over a month, and with the construction set is virtually limitless this is the altime game of this year. anything is possible from owning a shop, guild, or castle, to having a gang of killers, murdering people left and right. the editors is just as good as the game unless you dont like making your dreasm game come to life. this is truly the altime game of the year with the best

Summary: Very, very, very, very, very BUGGY!
Review: Absloute [junk]! Opened this game up it wouldn't even read on my HD. It was missing a data.cab file on the main CD and on the Contstruction set CD my CD ROM couldn't even read the disc and gave me a message to call some guy at Bethesda complete with his extension number (and yes my CD ROM is working just fine it reads every other disc I own without a problem). I would NOT get this game till the ant hill of bugs obviously infesting it are worked out.

Summary: Wait for the patch!!
Review: This game truly reminds me of Daggerfall, Bethesda does it again, they have created a game with enormous promise that is so buggy at release that it is unplayable. I have run this game on three machine that are all above minimum (one is above recommended) system requirements and this Bug ridden peace of filth has crashed them all. Bethesda's support site actually goes as far as to recommend disabling sound. Here's a recommendation Bethesda, release a game that actually works.
Perspective buyers, checked Beshsoft.com and see if they have a patch before you buy. I wish I could comment on the game itself, it looks cool, but I haven't gotten the game to run long enough to judge play

Summary: Finally!
Review: Well, I brought this tiny box home, opened it up, pulled the discs out and installed the game. I then ran the game and my eyes and ears were then treated to some of the best computer-generated imagery and sound I've ever heard. This game is sterling. I can't think of a better obscure word to use to describe this game. For a more common word, fantastic is my choice. Back in 1994 I played a game by Bethesda called "Daggerfall", a game in the Elder Scrolls series. It was awesome. You could create any sort of character you wished using various methods of creation. Upon escaping a dungeon you were free to do whatever you wanted. Want to be a thief? Be a thief. Want to be a noble knight, out to do-good? Do it! Want to sling spells around at evil creatures? DO IT! Bethesda has topped Daggerfall with Morrowind. The controls are better, the sound is better, the graphics are phenomenal, and the combat has been improved as well. They've expanded upon the idea of doing whatever you want by letting you equip any weapons and armor you want, regardless of class. You can ignore people, run around aimlessly, catch a ride on a silt strider, take a swim, pick a lock, pick a fight, jump around, climb things, go to sea, save people from harm; all without following the story line. There is, of course, a story line, but if you'd rather hunt down scoundrels and turn them in for bounties, you can do that instead for as long as you wish. You can join a guild and learn ancient magical secrets or you can be a loner. It's your choice. Leveling up is flawless. Bettering your skills is balanced perfectly so that the more and intelligently you use them, the more they increase. Weapons and armor need to be fixed occasionally from all of the wear and tear they take. If you've played Daggerfall, definitely play this. If you're a fan of MMORPG's, give this a try even though it's not one. If you want a challenge but are used to FPS'es, I might even recommend it to you. The only thing is that you're going to need a STRONG computer for this game. I've got a P4 1.5GHz with a 32mb GEForce card, 256mb of RAM and I'm somewhere in the 40's for framerate at 800 by 600 screen resolution. If you want to run this bad boy at anything higher and keep it above 30 frames per second, you're going to have to upgrade. Adjust your mouse, too, and it'll help in combat. This game is all around worth every penny you pay for it and then some. The discs are encoded with Macrovision SafeDisc, too, so all those software pirates are out of luck. Too bad. Support this company so that they may bring out more games like this! If you have an X-box, definitely pick this up; the PC version is better, however, since you can make your own maps and dungeons to play or send to friends who have it. The "Elder Scrolls Construction Set" program is a bit difficult to learn, but you'll be making your own maps in no time. I'd give this game 10 stars if I could. If you can get your hands on a copy of Daggerfall, do so. Be warned, though, it isn't very good in XP. =\

Summary: Good, but not *great*
Review: Initial impressions of this game: It's a detailed RPG, with plenty of options for character building, lots of little touches in the gameworld. Things that I didn't particularly go for were the arcade combat model, and for some reason the character/npc models were just plain ugly in some cases. I don't think they were intended to be ugly, but somehow just look rough. The high elves,wood elves, and dark elves are good examples. As opposed to those ugly models, the environment looks great. The atmospheric effects are particularly well-done, as well as water surfaces. Overall, the game is worth playing.

Review: This is one of the most imersive games I have ever played. There are near endless ways to make ends meet. There are custom class options as set template and a questionaire you can fill out. The enviroment is imense. The scale of somethings is amazoning. All in all a very tight and very good little game.
