Summary: An Awsome Game
Review: FF8 is a great game. It has pretty good graphics. There are two stories to the game. The story of Squall is a lot better than Laguna's. Thankfully there is more of Squall then Laguna. the sound is ok,and the game definetly deserves 5 stars.

Summary: Cool Game
Review: I do not own Final Fantasy VIII, but it's a great game that I'm trying to find and buy it. I tried it at one of my friends house and I asked him where he got it and he said Camp Snoopy.(I think I was dreaming). I really did play it and I came home and started searching for it. Bizrate is doing alot of searching for it though so if you want it check there. I think Final Fantasy VIII is one of the best games ever!

Summary: One of the greatest RPG game
Review: I am the FAN of the Final Fantasy series and i happened to get this game on PC from my friend. I haven't finished it yet, because my Disc 2 is messed up somehow, *and am currently trying to buy one again, but it's out of stock! HELP!* but from what i have played, the graphic is beautiful, and the characters are very funny, and also serious, and their personalities are greatly planned. All of the guardian forces or GFs are nicely graphiced, and their attacks are wonderfully done. The costumes are nice too. I wanted to give it five stars, but i changed it to four because of the story line. The story line is great, except that it is not fully complete. Somewhere, there are few holes in the story line and that really bugged me. But over all, this game is just beautiful, and the graphics are wonderfully done. If you like RPG, then i'm sure you will like this game, but if you like more challenging games, then i do not recommend this. It's rather easy than you think.....

Summary: Ultimate... And The Omega!
Review: In a world of turmoil and war, six friends rise up to destroy a sorceress bent on world domination. The nation of Galbadia is a dictatorship with a leader who wants to enslave the whole world. Balamb is a peace-loving nation, but enlists an army of SeeDs to fight the Galbadians. SeeDs are soldiers specially trained at Gardens to fight sorceresses of the world, and to act as mercenaries for the highest bidders. Squall is a teenager who has just become a SeeD along with his two friends Zell and Selphie. They team up with Quistis and Irvine, and Rinoa, a mysterious girl with links to Squall's past. These six must defeat Galbadia, Seifer (Squall's rival), and Ultamecia, a sorceress from the future. But along the way, they must solve the mystery of Laguna, Kiros, and Ward, soldiers in a dream-like world that the heroes fall into from time to time. This game has endless side quests, and a cool battle engine, where you can customize just about every detail of your characters by junctioning magic to their stats. This is a game of epic proportions, that will have you hooked.
P.S.
A game of epic proportions deserves a battle of epic proportions, and this game has two. One is with Ultima Weapon, who is hard, but not impossible. The other is with Omega Weapon, who, if taken lightly, will crush you in the first minute.

Summary: Hold on a sec, I'm playing FF8!
Review: Where do I start? First of all. I beleive that the most important element in an RPG is the storyline. It seems that a lot of people have forgotten the roots of role playing, back when DND came out, you'd roll die to see if you did any damage. THe most important was to hear a story, and have a good time hearing it. Now FF8 c0omes into play and we have one of the best storylines I have ever heard. If you normally just ignore what people say and just walk around killing things, you'd better take the time to hear what people say, it makes the experience a whole lot better.
The main reason why FF8 is the king of RPGs is because of it's storyline combined with one of the square's best magic systems. One thing that I found unique (in a good way) was that instead of having MP, you collected magic spells. Let's say you draw 3 cures out of some bad guy. You can give cure to other party members, or use it once, so you only have two cures left. And Gfs add a lot more depth to exploring. It's hard enough to find GFs. When you use a GF it takes the place of character while it does its attack, (on ratio you character does 70 damage, your GF can do up to 4000 damage depending on elemental weakness and boosted abilities).
Normally one of the last things I look for in an RPG is graphics. Square's really out done itself, though I hear gameplay graphics are better on PSX, my bud compared these graphics to the recently released C&C Renegade. I use up tons of save slots just to save right before a movie so I can watch it over and over and over again.
If you are craving for a Roe Playing game and all you can do is surf the net and look at games you want that are [money], spend [money]or so on FF8,

Summary: Why does everyone say it's bad?
Review: I play FFVIII on a laptop with 1024*768 pixels, though I could play on my desktop system I choose not too.

I got the game in 2000 when it was recommended, played it for awhile and decided I didn't like it, I got it out a week ago and over the easter weekend progressed to disc three. So the cimimatics could have been better, they would have if I'd play it on the other computer, I don't care.

The characters are marvelously developed and I love the way the story goes. And I think I prefer the way the juntioning is in the FFVIII to the other games, it's easier for me.

I admit I don't like the random battles, but I do like getting my levels up quickly...

Summary: The best RPG ever made for PC
Review: This is the best RPG that has ever hit the PC! Final Fantasy 8 has the best story line with outstanding graphics. This is a must have game for PC, even if you are not a RPG lover. This game has the coolest characters that fit in the story line perfectly. If you like magic, weapons, powerful attacks, and realistic CG cinemas. This is a game I highly recommend to any one.

Summary: close but no chedda
Review: The game is pretty good but would neva reach the superior ff7. FF7 is by far the best final fantasy, then comes nine, then comes 8, the materia is by far the easiest way to equip the items. But i gatta hand it to ff8 best graphics so far. The story is ok not as good as ff7 which has the best story ever. Ff7 has the best story and character development. Before you get ff8 get ff7 then get ff9 then get ff8, and be sure to check out ff10 which is coming out soon it looks dope.

Summary: Completely Crazy!!!!!
Review: I really really cant see how anyone cant like this game, it simply rocks!!!Yeah ok so the conversion from the Playstaion to the P.C wassn't perfect and i accept that, but still the game remains almost flawless!!It has all the action, and most other stuff that ne games need to become a legend, and i can say that in my opinion this master piece has only been rivaled by Final Fantasy 7! Buy it now!!!

Summary: FF8 does not get enough credit.
Review: Many fans of the FF series have shunned this game, because of loose plot ends, etc. But it is extremely rare to find an RPG that DOESN'T have loose plot ends. And actually, if it hadn't have been pointed out to me, I wouldn't have even noticed them.

The characters are wonderful, the plot is wondeful, and so is the music and the gameplay controls are easy to get the hang of. The magic/GF system looks a bit intimidating at first, but the in-game tutorials are really helpful for a new player.

If you are looking for an adventure, this is it. If you are looking for an entertaining way to spend some time, this is it. I spent probably 20+ hours just on the Triple Triad mini-game and I have replayed the game countless times. If you get the whole experience of the FF world, you are looking at at LEAST 50+ hours of gaming.

This is one of my favorite RPGs of all time, and I highly recommend it, and highly encourage you to look past the hype and criticism and give it your own opinion.
