Rating: Summary: A MUST: GET IT Review: I've been playing video games since the late 1970's and have played many games across most systems, and I can safely and heartly recommend this game. It combines very nice graphics, decent sound and a good challenge with what matters most of all: GREAT, ADDICTIVE GAMEPLAY. This is NOT traditional rpg (go to Neverwinter Nights or Baldur's Gate series if you want that); but more Diablo II [cut] and slash action with rpg elements: The more your characters use, for example, magic the better they get at it, so the more powerful spells they can cast. The same applies if you focus more on close combat: Your chracters develop their strenght more rapidly (you may, of course, define some members of your group as magic users, and others as melee specialists, or others as even as archers - the choice is yours) So, the game moulds itself to you, and your own preferences for combat styles. This touch is present in many other games, but works very well here. It furthers the addictiveness of this great title. The game can be personalised. You may also chose the attack formation and character order that best suits your playing style (for example, keep your melee fighters at the front, archers back); you may even alter the spacing between your men in a formation! If the action hots up a lot (there are a great diversity of enemies to get the better of), pause and then change the position and profile of your players (e.g., hold ground, or attack like hell), now unpause and your men move to where you defined. Very satisfying, when a good move works. I hope that i'm not boring you with too much detail, but believe me none of this is hard to pick up and is all introduced at a managable pace: I did'nt even need to read the instructions. There are also key equipment shops, were you may trade and buy better axes, magic, armour and so on. Why not five stars? No teleports (my main complaint). Can't buy rings or amulets that give more (e.g.,) strength. These two downers should not stop you from buying this great game.

Rating: Summary: Really Fun for the First Twenty Hours or So... Review: I first played Dungeon Seige as a demo. It was pretty much just the first level, but I was able to let a couple of characters join me on my quest, and I even bought a pack mule. I was so impressed with the demo, I rushed out and bought the full version. I bought it at the same time I purchased Morrowind, and I like this game so much better. However, eventually I started playing Morrowind a lot more, and suddenly Dungeon Seige didn't seem so special anymore. However, it was the game that got me interested in RPGs. Before this, I was pretty much just playing first person shooters like Doom and Serious Sam, so this was a welcome change for me. I could choose my character's sex! I could choose her hair color! What she wore! I named her! And the graphics were great. At first, I was a little annoyed with the point-and-click-to-where-you-want-your-character-to-go feature, but it did allow for multiple camera angles, which was good. My other complaint is the fighting. Ok, there is a really big snow monster. Now, just watch as your characters do the work for you. You don't even have to click the mouse button to make them battle. I wasn't used to that. While I guess that can be nice at times, it's also a little boring. Of course, while your characters are fighting, you do have stuff to keep you busy: like making sure none of them run low on health or mana. Though, it is really fun to resurrect one of your characters if they die in battle - it makes you feel...powerful :) So far, I have played close to 20 hours, but I've had the game for 5 months now. For the most part, it's just collecting dust. I honestly do still adore the game, but after a while, it gets too repetetive - go into a cave or dungeon, kill evil things, take gold and other assorted loot, emerge from cave or dungeon 3 hours later. Go stock up on health, mana, armor and spells at a store, walk a little ways, then enter another cave or dungeon. Personally, I prefer the freedom of Morrowind (Dungeon Seige is VERY linear), but I'll always have a soft spot for this one.
Rating: Summary: Hours of fun and pretty easy to follow... Review: The pace of this game is perftect. Fast enoungh to keep you interested but not laking detail. Play is a bit too linear but I have had several sleepless nights playing this one. Characters are easy to move and command. Money well spent.
Rating: Summary: Great Entry Level RPG Review: Dungeon Siege by Chris Roberts is a great introduction to the world of RPG, just like the Diablo series. If you have a friend that likes console games or has never really delved into a hardcore RPG, this will get them in the door. Every aspect of this game is completely intuitive and can be mastered in seconds. The graphics are sumptious. Neverwinter Nights players will be impressed by the incredible camera control and beautiful outside environments as well as the huge variety of underground/indoor textures. 3d video required, I recommend at least GEForce2 with 1G or more processor. I use GEForce 4 w/ 1.6GH. The controls are overly simple. Stick a weapon in every characters hand and click on a group of monsters, then sit on your hands as the battle unfolds (I recommend playing around with the camera and pause key for maximum effect if you are bored.) This game is a goody-box of features that make RPG easier. Invetory management is straight out of diablo 2. Everyhting is drag and drop, no weight to worry about. Pack mules carry your extra stuff. Waypoints, formations, quick keys, even a transmute spell which can turn your less valuable and larger items into gold on the spot saving room for the really good stuff. Partial potion drinking (just what you need). Quick sort buttons for inventory. Click a button and everyone runs around picking up the treasure and loading it into the pack mule. There are no classes. You learn by doing. Shoot an arrow get better with bows, cast a healing spell get better at nature magic. You can't really get lost. If you do, just look for the huge signs everwhere telling you where to go! In fact the game is almost too easy to control, and this ease takes away from the tactics, which, sadly, is one of my favorite reasons for playing an RPG. BUT IT LOOKS AWESOME!
Rating: Summary: The BEST RPG Review: This is the best RPG game I have ever played. The Graphics and sound are incredible! The inventory and group controls are very easy. Unfortunently, my Dungeon Siege CD was destroyed by my dog. But the hours I played this were some of the best I ever spent in front of the PC.
Rating: Summary: almost enough to miss sleep Review: I originally bought this game because it was the only one that would play on my pre-historic machine and yes, I did for a brief moment become addicted. Anyone thinking of buying this game I would describe it as a soap opera. The content is pleasing enough but just as you are starting to realise there is not much to this experience, a cliff hanger is thrown up to keep your attention chained for that little bit longer. It is very easy to play and the enemies are not to much trouble, it moves very nicely and would probebly make a good introduction, but it is not challenging or thought provoking. My advice, save your money and by a better computer so you can play baulders gate.
Rating: Summary: Dungeon Siege review Review: This is a great game. for those who are diablo fans you will love this game. The price is kinda hight but worth buying.
Rating: Summary: ATTENTION MULTIPLAYERS, LAN BASED - NO SAVE OPTION Review: If you are planning to play this in multiplayer over a LAN you have no option to save. Unlike in Diablo, quests you have completed will not save. Unfortunaly, the nature of many of these quests are interdependent such that you have to go back and complete the quest again EVERY time you play. Unless you intend to play continuously, the game becomes frustrating and tedious very quickly.
Rating: Summary: The best 3D RPG adventure game I've played Review: This game is the best I've played in 3D RPG adventure. The visuals are stunning, and the game play is intuitive and immersive. Your character gains experience by 2 means: brains, and muscle. Depending on what you use more, your character evolves and gains skill points and ability points accordingly. Watch your character develop into a powerful nature druid, an arcane battle mage, a swift and cunning archer, or a mighty knight, or a balanced character who wields magic as easily as a sword and bow. Your character gains not only experience, but wealth, and companions to aid your mission. As you progress in the game, you can buy new armor, weapons, and magic items to aid you in defeating your enemies. There are so many different types of armor, weapons, and magic, it's hard to choose. When you get magic weapons, you can see their cool visual effects as your character wields a flaming sword, shoots magic arrows, or strikes with an electric staff. Your characters are infinitely customizable as they don armors, wield weapons, and wear magical gloves, boots, or hats. There are so many different monsters! As you progress, you are challenged by increasingly powerful and bizzare monsters, and increasing numbers of them. So much to explore, so much to learn, and so powerful your character can get. You can also go online and challenge your online opponents to see who's character/s is/are more powerful. I wish they can make this game for XBOX too. A MUST HAVE!
