Summary: Engrossing
Review: This game became an obsession right out of the box, for me. I bought the Prima Guide along with it, because I thought I might need some help along the way. However, I didn't have to consult the guide (or the manual) immediately, because this is playable right out of the package, with great tutorials that allow you to play and learn at the same time. I can tell it will take some time to get the hang of it, but I will definitely keep coming back to it. The open-ended gameplay option makes for hours of and hours of play I recommend it for anyone who is into sims or RPGs.

Summary: Great idea, terrible interface
Review: I read some of the reviews complaining about the interface of this game, but I had to go and find out for myself. What is the point of game that is supposed to be interesting and entertaining if you get frustrated just trying to interact with the user interface? Also, my PC has P3 733 MHz processor, 384 Megs of RAM and an Nvidia TNT M64 video card and my PC had trouble handling it.

On the other hand, I really like the music and the concept. I just wish it had been executed better.

Summary: Good strategy
Review: O.k. the first review summed up what you have to do. Feed the Vilagers and give them wood. But the creature is a great tool because it slowly learns how to cast spells, and make villigaers pary at you alter for power. You have to train you creature, while trying to take care of you villagers, and the bigger your land the more work you have to do. While it is suggested to get an up to date CPU and Gfx card it is worth it. The graphics are stunning the playability is great too. You can manipulate the whole view of the world. Their is night and day and day, seasons, and weather events that change the shading of the game like in real life. Mulitplayer is even better, like most games.

Summary: First of a kind
Review: My freind loaned me this game for a week, and i didnt return after a month it was so good. its so very different from all the other games i have played. its story is very good and interesting. on the way there are many quests and smaller quests. after a while you even begin to bond with your creature. the only reason i didnt give it a 5 is that the multiplayer gaming over the net is not that good and there arent that many people onlline.

oh well its a great game get it if you have extra cash

Summary: Great game, when it works!
Review: I had a lot of fun with this game, for the first 30 minutes. Then the sound whent, and there fore the conciences froze up. After about 20 minutes of soundless, half frozen play, the game froze up, and I couldnt even save it. This game is addicting for about the first hour to an hour and a half, but after that it gets tedious.

Your creature is pretty cool, and the best thing is you can find out his stats, what hes thinking, and teach him to be evil(very fun) or good(very hard not to kill a villager from time to time).

All in all, this game is not a game for the light hearted. If you want a lot of control over people and lands, this is deffinately the game for you, just get the latest video card. If you want a game that you can just play for 20 minutes and go away and comeback the next day and pick up where you left off, steer far away from this game.

Summary: Difficult to control
Review: It is really hard to zoom in zoom out or move or turn around. I am very glad that I did not buy this game. I only played this game in a cybercafe for 2 hours. After 2 hours, I still fail to solve the control problem.

Summary: ok, but bugged up
Review: i got this game thinking it looked cool. when i got it home i put it on a really bad computer because noone uses it and it would be free more often. well it couldn't even take the graphics in the install program so i moved it to another computer. i got it running but it would go to a blank black screen all the time making me restart the computer. i say it is a good game but dont get it unless you have a very nice computer

Summary: This could be a good game, but it's way too buggy.
Review: This game is very original with good graphics. The person who thought this up was very creative. (...) However, once you get in the game you will encounter a plethera of annoying bugs. Some of these are invisible creatures that won't move, creature won't eat or learn, creature won't interact with objects, missing sheep for sheep quest, etc. So you go download patch 1.10 and install it. Then when you try to run black and white it will start to run but the game never makes it far enough to start. It just freezes. So you use the EAsy program to report the problem (...) and that program locks up your system. Congratulations, you have just wasted (...) your hard earned money on a (...) buggy game. (...)

Summary: A lot of work for a little entertainment.
Review: The game has a very interesting concept and the graphics are excellent. However, the UI is very difficult to use and requires a lot of practice to get used to it. Furthermore, from my little bit of playing the game the emphasis seems to be more on developing your creature than anything else. I have to admit having to keep an ever vigilant eye on the creature kind of irritated me and took away from the overall game experience. All and all I was not as impressed with the game play as I was with the concept and quickly grew tired of this game.
