Review: Addictive and challenging. Even for me, a 41 year old
female! The sound track and effects suck you in.

Summary: One of the best
Review: Deus Ex is by far the best FPS (first-person shooter) I've ever played, even this long after its release date. Sure, the graphics aren't quite as good as Max Payne, but the sheer variety in gameplay is unbelievable. Despite the length of time it took me to beat it the first time, I found myself wanting to start a new game just to try things differently. It doesn't get much better than this.

Summary: Cool!
Review: This is the most AWESOME game I have ever played! It's better than any other shooter because it has a storyline. Its better than most RPGs because of the immense stradegy involved. Its actually like you ARE him! It's so cool!

Summary: Great First Person Shooter! The pros and cons.
Review: Deus Ex <Pronounced as: DE-US-EX> is a great game. I don't know if I can describe it well enough but this game is great! On to the review:

Pros

--If you are really into plot, this is your game. This game has an Amazing INGENIOUS plot! It's hard to say anything without ruining it for you.
--This game uses the ORIGINAL Unreal engine. (Pretty pathetic) But what they've done with it is what astounds me. The Unreal engine isn't too good for today's standards. But they've buffed it up real well. It looks great.
--The basic interface is great! You can pick locks, reprogram turrets, and hack into computers. (You're a good guy by the way) In most FPSs weapons are assigned to a specific category or number. In Deus Ex, you can change that! From 1-0 you can assign any item/weapon you pick up to any of those numbers. You also have a set amount of Health Points (HP) in each area of the body. (Head, Torso, Left Arm, Right Arm, Left Leg, Right Leg, Index Finger, Thumb, Mr. Birdie...ok that's going a little too far.) If you lose all the Health Points in your head/torso you die, one leg you walk slower, 2 legs you have to crawl. You get the idea.
--This isn't your normal FPS. If you haven't played System Shock 2 I suggest you pick it up. Deus Ex has MANY RPG elements. You talk to people, the HP, and skill points. You have a few skills that you can invest in. You start trained in Pistols and then there are rifles, artillery, throwing, swimming, computers, lock picking, and many more.
--Different difficulty levels.
--Alternate endings. (I won't spoil how many.)
--It has voice-overs!

Cons

--Voice acting isn't too good. J.C Denton has one of those low raspy voices; I'm not saying all of them are bad though. Paul's pretty cool.
--Blocky characters. The characters have blocky heads. It kind of looks like there made out of a cardboard box!
--Not enough side quests. You pretty much follow the basic story. I don't think there are any side quests except for 2 actually.
--Enemies take to long to kill. If your not trained in the pistol, melee, or rifle class (I'm talking about the shotgun its under this class.) you have to shoot them multiple times in the head to kill the enemies.
--Just for the fun of it, you can't kill any guy that follows thought he story, unless the let you. For example you can't go ahead and kill your brother, (Paul Denton) because he's a major character. It would be really cool if you could and the story changed. (That's never going to happen though.)

I think that's about it. There are probably a few faults that I haven't mentioned but they don't severely hurt the game. Now if you fully trust in my review don't. Play a demo and try out the game for yourself. The game gets much better as your progress though. And when you get this game, don't get frustrated. You WILL get lost, you WILL get stuck. Just keep looking and find that last key!

(Basic Story) You are an Agent that belongs to an Anti-terrorist organization called U.N.A.T.C.O. There is a plague that is going around called the gray death, and the terrorist's have the cure. You have to fight them and get the cure so it can be distributed fairly.

(You can approach this game two ways. Stealth {BORING} or Full Force Front Side Attack! {WHOOHOO!!!}) It doesn't force you to be stealthy. Thank you for reading. Buy this game. And don't fall for the sleazy Game of the Year edition. All the extras can be downloaded. Get it for the PC and not the PS2. PC has much better controls.

Summary: It rivals half-life for best single player experience
Review: I was genuinely sad when I beat this game. I didn't want it to end: that's how good it is. It has an amazing plot, characters, the graphics can be troublesome if you don't have glide, but are still great, and wonderful sound also. Any fan of action/rpg games should defenitely buy this game.

Summary: Deus Ex - need I say more
Review: This is the first game in first person play that the story line is easily understood that I have played.
Go with the flow, read everything. Best of all sneak up on people and easdrop, there is a wealth of info. to learn from this advantage. First time through I think I killed everything that moved but the best time was going through in stealth. It is not easy so you need to save your game often. As you go through the game you will learn the different moods that JC goes through and it will help you to choose witch of the three ending you will go for. I have found that the choice you make during the game also gives you a differante aspect of the game. All in all I can't wait for Deus Ex 2 to come out.

Summary: I give 4 and 1/2 stars to a great first person shooter RPG
Review: I have had more fun playing this game than any other since the Quake series! You play J.C. Denton a nano technology augmented government agent in a not too distant future.
The game can be played in three different character "modes" making it possible to play it three times with 3 different endings! You can play as a "Hacker" a "Stealth" player or a combat "soldier" or a blend of all.It all depends on the augmentations you choose as you play along. Be sure your computer meets the system requirements, because the graphics are awesome and the sound is excellent especially if you have a soundblaster live card.I own over 50 PC games and this one's right up there at the top. It's a keeper.

Summary: Love it!
Review: This game some how combined the best elements of an RPG, FPS, and strategy game into a very deep, very involving game.
The levels and the objectives therin make sense for a society going down the tubes.
The level of NPC interaction is amazing! JC can talk to and question almost any character in the game.
This level of interaction comes at a cost, though. A full install of this game takes 750mb (I don't know where the 150mb on the box came from!) which a lot for a laptop user like me.
That leads me to my second point. This game will run reasonably well on a 8mb video card(my ATI RageMobility 128, to be specific), but I would reccomend a 16mb or better and lots of RAM.
...you really aught to grab a copy before GoTY Edition is all that's left.

Summary: COOL!
Review: COOL! The only bad thing I have to say, is the sound and the minor bugs.the sound isnt so awful that it makes you hate it, its just a little stupid when they talk. the fx are COOL too. and the bugs, well i dont know if this is just my computer but every once in a while i get stuck croutching and cant get up. but i save often so that isnt a problem. also sometimes the keys dont work so i have to go into settings and change the key for that control. it only does that for the inventory screen thing. But it doesnt take long and i dont mind considering how COOL the game is. Its soo awsome how you can choose, whether you want to sneek up on someone and kill them from behind, go for the all out assault, avoid them completely, snipe them with a gun with a scope, blow them up ect ect. I play alot of games and this is my favorite, over half life even! some of you may like half life the same, or better, but i... i dunno i guess i like the sneaking up thing, and how you can take LOTS AND LOTS of approaches to things. in half life you have to do one thing. you cant take another rout....

Summary: Inmensively inmersive
Review: I had read a magazine's article about this game in which it said that this was a very good game, at first I didn't believe it. But when I got this game bundled with my sound card I got inmediately sucked by it.

At first glance, this game may look like a lousy copy of Metal Gear Solid, but don't be decieved! it has more than enough elements to stand on its own. The plot is very inmersive and add that to the richly detailed levels and you'll understand why it's so adictive; best of all, you'll never find yourself stuck and unable to go foward for there's ALWAYS more than one way to complete your objectives. The music is equaly good it keeps the tension on and on, and there's a lot of intrigue and paranoia during the game if you check the emails ar read the computer's advices, add that to the ability to customize your character in skills and augmentations, and you have a game that will fill every die-hard player.
