Rating: Summary: My God... Review: The Final Fantasy series takes another rise from the new game such as FF IX and X, bu in my opinion, those are to easy. The best Final Fantasy's are the older ones, the one's with a good plot. Final Fantasy Tactics, III and VII are the only ones falling into this catigory. I owned the ROM for III, but i couldn't get a PS Emulator that worked. Finally, VII is realised on PC. VII is perhaps the greatest game I have ever played next to FF III. I love this game. If I could give out more then 5 stars, I'd give it 10. This game is the game of the centery. Without this or III, the FF series is now worthless. FF7 will always be a classic, now that it's for PC.
Rating: Summary: awesome game Review: i thought this game was great. It had an awesome storyline that ran smoothly. the characters were well written and complimented eachother and the story well. the graphics were ok for this kind of game. I didn't think that it needed the most powerful systems to run it with picture perfect designs and graphics. It is great just as it is. I didnt get a chance to finish the game because it was erased but I got pretty far and I will finish it someday
Rating: Summary: Still My Favorite of the Series Review: As an avid fan of the Final Fantasy series, I have played most every game in the series. (Games after VIII yet included because I've yet to get myself a Playstation/PS2.) Overall, the quality of the Final Fantasy series is excellent, but Final Fantasy VII is still my favorite, beating out even the later Final Fantasy VIII. Final Fantasy VII has so many great qualities, among them:Replayability: Anybody that says that they did everything there is to do in Final Fantasy VII the first time they played through is lying. There are so many different subquests. I don't wish to spoil them, but they involve dating, chocobos, minigames and so much more. Oh, and the Gold Saucer, which I won't spoil, but there hasn't been anything like it in any of the games I've played. Plotline: My favorite of the Final Fantasy games I've played. Adventure, love, betrayal, deceit, intrigue, it's all there and more. Battle System: One of the most well developed of the Final Fantasy games I've played. To respond to a couple of the listed "cons," I personally did not find the interface to be all that frusturating. In fact, I find it a lot less frusturating than the interfaces of some of the earlier Final Fantasy games. It's not too difficult to figure out either and anything that may be unclear is cleared up in the provided and detailed instructions. As for the sound, anything that may be lacking in the sound department is more than made up for in the amazing music, which I find to be the most memorable and beautiful of the Final Fantasy games I've played. Don't let its age and somewhat outdated graphics keep you from playing this game. Try it, you'll definitely find it worth your time.
Rating: Summary: Ultimate Review: In this world, nothing is as it seems. No one is who they say they are, and surprises lurk around every corner. This is a wonderful game, with a rich story, great side quests, and great animation. The evil Shin-Ra corporation has been mining Mako, an energy source that is the lifeforce of the Earth itself. Avalanche is an underground resistance group headed by Barret, a man who's arm was lost in an explosion at a Mako refinery. Cloud is a mercenary who used to work for SOLDIER, Shin-Ra's private army. Sephiroth is a great warrior for SOLDIER, who has been lost for many years. Now, Cloud is working with Avalanche, and Sephiroth has resurfaced, but he is now an insane, powerhungry man with a desire to use Black Materia to summon a meteor to destroy the world. Materia are energy sources used in weapons to add skills to the user. This game has a great story and a great battle engine, where you can customize 9 different characters with different materia. This is a long game, but it is legendary.
Rating: Summary: THE BEST GAME ON THE PLANET!!!! Review: Final Fantasy 7 is my first Final Fantasy game. When I first got this game, I didn't like it one bit. I thought (and still do) the graphics are dissapointing based on the modern PS2 graphics. I didn't like the "turn based" feature because it reminded me of Pokemon. I put the game away in disgust. Good thing it was only [$] bucks. Finally after several months I have started to play the game again. Soon I realized how addictive the game was and how much fun I was having. I have played for almost 21 hours and am still on Disc #1. That means unless Disc's #2 and #3 are short, I still have many more hours of fun to look forward to. The gameplay and storyline make up for the graphics and I'm starting to prefer the "turn based" fighting system over what I have previously played. So, even if you don't like the game know, wait a while and I'm sure you will wisening up just like I did.
Rating: Summary: Great story but bad form of playing Review: This is one of the best role-playing games I have ever played, the story is awsom, the characters are also well done. But the problem with this game is the configuration, for example the materia and the items you can use to upgrade your characters, they could be improve, but as i said before this is a good game
Rating: Summary: A Review Of The Computer Version...Not The Game Itself Review: If you want to know what to think of Final Fantasy VII the game...where have you been??? The computer version is, at best, a nice version of FF7. Hey, I could play it on my laptop, so alright! But honestly, it's just sub-par to the PSX version. It's pre-rendered graphics are a bit fuzzy (essentially the background images) The character images are a little brighter and smoother, but then they feel out of place compared to the rest of the graphics. Personally, I think the 'graininess' of the PSX version lended to the overall atmosphere of the game, anyway. I will tell you, if you want to cheat your way through the game, a nice 'save file' editor will do nicely. But then what's the point, really? The point is, if you want this version of the classic, fine. It's good, and almost stands up there with the PSX version. But if you've never played it before, and you have a PSX or PS2, buy the PSX version. You'll be glad you did.
Rating: Summary: Lucky, lucky 7 Review: Video games can be tedious and predictable. We all know the Super Mario-type story by now: some guy goes off to find some lady held captive somewhere. Of course, the good guy is much cooler than the bad guy. Not so anymore. In Final Fantasy 7, many people prefer the BAD GUY. The story isn't very predictable, and the characters are never totally "good." They don't all hold hands, they don't all get along, and they don't all use the kindest language. Sure, it's by no means realistic, but the character interaction is. The story is well written, the graphics are well-rendered, and you find yourself starting to like the bad guy's personality more than that of the good guys. Well done Squaresoft, well done.
Rating: Summary: Quite Possibly the best game i've ever played. Review: I have always been a FF fan ever since 2 was out. I've been loving it ever since and was glad that i played this. Let me tell you about the game:As you have probably found out from other reviews, it is about a rebel orginization named AVALANCHE who is saving the planet from Shinra Inc., who is polluting the Earth. One of these members is a man named Cloud, a 21 year old guy who was in a orginazation called Soldier, which is the army of Shinra. Possibly the greatest plot and climax I've ever seen. Great battles, they proved to be a challenge. Cloud, Sid, and Red 13 are my favorite charecters. Also some of the best movies in a game that i've seen for a long time. Espeically the 11 minute ending. Man that was good. ENJOY!
Rating: Summary: Awesome!! Review: I really like FF series, so I bought it without hesitation. Though I noticed that same music is played in many scenes, it still can regarded as awesome game, especially in terms of it's incredible graphics. Compared to FF6, Graphics is beyond description. Also the plot is really interesting and unpredictable. If U're spending boring time recently, get this one and enjoy it.
