Rating: Summary: Being the greatest game on any system ever, buy now! Review: Having played the Playstation and PC versions of this game, I'd have to say that the PC game is better. The same story line are in both but with the better graphics and sound, the PC would be my first choice. You are Cloud. A young mercenary who has had a fairly good life. Then, after leaving the SHINA Corps SOLDIER, you run with the AVALANCH rebel group. First working to blow up a Mako Reactor, you hesitantly agree to another job. This starts you on a journey of absolute epic proportions...
Rating: Summary: Buy it... c'mon... you know you want to. Review: I have yet to play a better game. (Yes, even better than Final Fantasy III (Final Fantasy VI in Japan).) If you begin this game, prepare to clear up a good month or so out of your schedule. Look at the other reviews; go to other websites! In fact, go to ANY search engine and type in "Final Fantasy VII". I promise you will find nothing but good things. If you could only have one game, my friend, let this be the one. Trust me, I wouldn't lie to you.
Rating: Summary: Even I like it! Review: Listen, I am a girl who normally doesn't like computer games, but when my brother bought this I couldn't stop playing it. The graphics are breathtaking and the story is wonderfully put together. It's so fun to play too!
Rating: Summary: A must for any Role playing enthusiast! Review: The Game features the best in cut rate full motion video. Great graphics. A must an any game players game library!
Rating: Summary: It is arguably the greatest RPG ever created. Review: When the game came out earlier this year, I thought there was way to much hype about it. But when I got to experience it for the first time, all of my thoughts were changed. The gameplay, story, graphics, everything about it was truly amazing. It was like no RPG I had ever played before. The story was really one-of-a-kind and the characters really flowed with each other. I also like how it interacted with the player because he or she got to actually make decisions and decide the characters future. All in all, this game will go down as something for future RPG's to be compared to because it is just one of the greatest games ever made.
Rating: Summary: This is the BEST Game EVER for the PC! Review: If your computer is new, fast (300 MHz or more for best results), has powerful video (4MB at least, 8MB for very good performance, and 16MB will blow you away!) and sound cards, and has a big hard drive, you will love this game! The graphics excel that of the PSX (Playstation) version, and if your soundcard is good enough and you installed the Yamaha program which is offered at the game's installation, the sound will also excel that of the PSX. Eidos Interactive has corrected the few of the minor translating errors (for the game was originally written in Japanese) from the PSX version. The PC version is inferior in two ways: first, FMV (Full Motion Video) scenes aren't quite as impressive as they were on the PSX (there may be two reasons for this: my television screen is nearly twice as large as my 19" inch PC monitor, and the FMV scenes were originally meant for a large television screen. The other reason could just be poor reformating). The other way in which the PSX is better is control: the game's control was designed originally for the PSX controller, and if you do not have a game controller for your PC, then you will have to use the "number keys" on the right side of your keyboard--but you can reformat it to other keys on your keyboard if you wish, but this does not help very much. For a synopsis (summary) of the game, read "amazon.com"'s review above. As you can see, it has a complex, involving storyline and the characters have a rich massive history. If you want to do ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING, this may take 60 to even 100 hours. If you rush through, you can beat it in 25-40 hours. As you may conclude, the replay value is wonderful, for I do not know one person who has beaten the entire game and done absolutely everything. In closing, I woulg HIGHLY RECOMMEND this game to anyone who likes Role-Playing Games (RPGs) in the slightest. Three cheers for Eidos Interactive, Sony Computer Entertainment of America, and SquareSoft!!!
Rating: Summary: The Best RPG in Decades Review: -It is said that third time's a charm, but in the case of the Final Fantasy games, the real charm is in the seventh... The interweaving of smaller plots and jaded pasts make for much more than a game, but a second life. The graphic quality blows away almost all the senses, and never lets up. No game besides should be on your wish list.
Rating: Summary: This game drags on an uninteresting plot far too long... Review: I have been very impressed with previous Final Fantasy games for the Nintendo console systems. However, this PC version was definitely NOT up to my expectations. One irritation was that you really need to have a 3D graphics accelerator. I was using a Pentium Pro-200, 64mb ram, Matrox Millenium graphics card, and the best I could do was to use 320x200 mode -- extremely chunky! Any higher resolution resulted in frame rates of about 2frames/sec. So don't buy this unless you have a 3D graphics card or are prepared to get one! Despite that problem, that wasn't my biggest disappointment. Too much of the game was running back and forth, and getting in battles with old monsters -- there should have been ways to avoid monsters that were far below your characters levels. Also, the plot was not up to par -- it was cheesy, with bad writing, and dragged on too long. That said, there are some redeeming features. Graphics for the spells are excellent, and the new 3D style is appealing. If I had it to do over, however, I would not buy this game.
Rating: Summary: FF7 One of the greats! Review: Final Fantasy 7 was great! The gameplay was the best I've seen in a long time. The bosses where amazing.I also enjoyed the plot line, there was no trick ending or somthing like that where you have to beat it on a harder difficulty level. The cut sences were very rich and smooth.I recommend this game to anyone. But,by now you sould have a copy!
Rating: Summary: The best game ever made hits the Pc... Review: Ok, so maybe I'll exagerating, but ff7 was (and is) no dought the best game on the playstation. Its music beat up any contenders, its graphics were top notch, and the story drew tears from the eyes of millions. The PC version, however, has some problems. you need to know, however, that this game was specifically created for one to play on thier TV. The animation was meant to be big, and the grand Cities and monsters were meant to steal the show. So, unless you have a top notch PC, you will notice that it's technichal parts don't stand up with other pc games. The story, however, has been perfectly translated, and the graphics, which were redone and re-painted, are crisp and sharp. My last complaint is that the awsome Cut-Scenes are a bit more vauge, which is too bad, since they were amazing on the playstation. Otherwise, though, ff7 rocks better than ever.
