Summary: One of the best level makers ever
Review: This review is about the awsome world editor. If you what to stop kicking your opponts aroud when you're goten really good take a break from the game and check out the world editor. Alough it's hard to use at frist when you know how to do just the basics you can make awsome maps. The tiggers can be had to use but, like you might have lerned in school ever cause has a effect. This is what the tirggers are like cause and effect. If you stopped to think there are condishtions with cause and effect. take this you trip on a rock in the grass it's a soft landing because you land on the grass or you tirp on a rock and fall on the road it's a hard landing because you land on the road. It's kinda like that. After you leaarn the basics you can even start making cinamatics.(you can make anything as good a Blizzard does though)With the object editor you can change almost any units and/or make new units. If you think you're really good make a campain. But if you just like to makes maps go ahead. When you finish a map host it on Battle.Net(if you can)

Summary: Better than being beaten to death by packs of rabid midgets!
Review: Simply put, this's one of the best strategy games out there. It's also pretty descent as RPGs go, though the interface is still decidedly strategy, so it does tend to lack a bit of rpgishness that hardcore rpg'ers may expect from it.

Overall, it's really a great blend. The expansion re-wrote the entire game and made it balanced and worth playing, removing most of the flaws from before. The strategy guides included are somewhat helpful for single player missions, but really, blizzard's own site gives way more accurate, up to date, and full information. Relying solely upon the strategy guides is a mistake, but it's not a bad idea to take a look at them either.

Many people are still sure that starcraft is the better game. It's very much so possible. The battlechest does alot of things right that starcraft missed, but somehow looses a bit of that "perfect" feeling somewheres. It's hard to figure out where though.

The plot is good, the graphics are nice, while keeping low enough that most people can play the game without any computer upgrades. The voice acting isn't bad, but could be a little better. (Which's true for about all games except maybe soul reaver 2 so no big deal) Everything about the game is top notch, and it's definately one of the best games yeu can get. If yeu're looking for the best buy for yeur money, and haven't tried warcraft 3 at all yet, but like either RPGs or strategy games, grab this now. It's really worth it.

The flaw: The expansion part of this game insists way too heavily upon 'rushing'. Very fast attacks at the start of the game. The official online play is somewhat good for new players, trying to keep skill levels seperate, but it really doesn't work so well. If yeu're new, expect a hard game online. Don't bother playing online until yeu can beat the computer players in a skirmish.

Summary: Excellent Game, truly unbelievable!
Review: This game is great, what else do you expect from Blizzard? With combining both "Reign of Chaos" and "Frozen Throne", its a winning combination. "Reign of Chaos" is a great game that takes you through 4 campaigns with 4 races, the new Undead and Night Elf races are nice introductions to spice up the game and evolve it from the times of Warcraft II. Much has changed here, this game has a little medieval touch to it which I really like, pretty easy to understand what an axe is, unlike in Starcraft(the sci-fi weapons). They made this game well because there is no "easy" difficulty setting, only "normal" and "hard", so you'll like trying to win the levels and put a little more effort in(unless your a ... and have to use cheat codes to spoil the game). And the campaign is definetly NOT easy, only the human campaign is truly easy. Once you get to the Night Elf campaign, well good luck, you'll need it(especially on the last level). Sure, certain missions are easy, but thats what the expansion pack, "The Frozen Throne" makes up for. First, I'd like to say the the campaigns on TFT are EXTREMELY HARD. You start off with the Night Elf campaign, and the first mission isnt too difficult, but if you compare RoC's(Reign of Chaos) with this one, you'll see that the bar of difficulty has been raised. Next, you go to the Alliance Campaign, which pretty much entirely revolves around the Blood Elves, which is a new, non-playable in custom games, race. You also get to use the Naga forces again as you did in one Night Elf mission. You then move onto the final, and hardest, campaign, The Scourge. Yes, the undead are still here, and DAMN is this campaign hard. Every mission requires skill, patience, and raw brutality to win. Anyone who says this campaign is easy, must be the best gamer of all time. These missions are hard, and are very long. This will keep you mesmorized in the game. There is also a Bonus campaign!! Just when I thought things couldnt get any better. This campaign is looonnnggg(if you have all 3 Acts downloaded, you can get them by simply logging onto battle.net on your account), Rexxar, a beastmaster, goes through many many levels of obstacles. This Bonus campaign makes up for the lack of an Orc campaign in TFT. This campaign is a story, and never cuts off, just revolves around Rexxar, its absolutely awesome! 4 new heros(1 for each race, and even more that you can hire!) add even more to the excitement. You should really get a battle.net account(and this is great, its totally free) so you can automatically download new patches to make your game better! I really love battle.net, no paying 20 bucks a month to play with millions of other people online, no 3 months free then pay, none of that! Its just a free gamer universe for Blizzard games. This feature here will guarantee that even when you finish the campaigns, battle.net will bring you YEARS of enjoyment to the game. Another thing to add in, this game was named "Game of the Year" by Gamespot, and its so true. I dont see how you could not like this game, aside from little complaints that really dont give a serious down to the game, you'll love this! This game is definetly worth your money, and putting the expansion with the original in the same box, is an even greater plus! Buy this game, its worth every penny, you will NOT be dissappointed.

Summary: Awesome
Review: The game I played the most way back when was Warcraft 2. Then Starcraft came out, becoming my new favorite game (by the way, I've gone through 3 Starcraft CDs because they got used in the CD drive so much, they broke). Then, Warcraft 3 came out, which will probably be my favorite game for a long time still. This game offers so much in expansion by the user, so much online and single player fun, it is well worth the money. If you don't have this game, get it! You won't be disappointed.

Summary: WarCraft Vs StarCraft
Review: Okay I gave this game 5 stars to make you all happy, so be happy and smile. I recently started playing like, let me remember, ahhh yes, 2 days ago! StarCraft I've been playing for years. This is the review that compares what some people acclaim to be that StarCraft BW is better than WarCraft3, even though warcraft has all the graphics, etc. Please note that there will be disagreements between those of you about what I'm going to say, but its simply my opinion and what I think, so stick with me here.

Even though WarCraft 3 is new and contains really good graphics and game play. What sets its gameplay slightly below StarCraft, for what I've seen as in experience in playing, is the fact that people like things to be simple. The heros in WC3 are nice but the thing about it is that it complicates game play, where you have to think about not just building and upgrading men, but which moves to give the hero, when to use it, lvl up points going where, and which hero will be more useful in the long run. Where else over at starcraft bw, you just simply have to upgrade men, build them, and use strategy. Ignore defense, etc, as both games need them.

Another reason why I believe starcraft is thought to be a better game is because of the numbers of men you can get. Players just like to throw an army at another person, its just the way it is. I mean I'm probably not saying it in the best way possible but I hope you get my point. People like having a huge army to throw at their apponents. Its more.....thrilling? Exciting? Shrug.

Oh yeah, okay this is what I think, after playing WarCraft 3: Reign Of Terror, I noticed one thing. Even though I haven't played it long, so I'm not sure if my analysis is wholesomely accurate, but its hard to distinquish one type of men from another. I built a large army once and it took me awhile to find the hero lol. So I'm over here trying to cast a spell found on the hero and I can't find him. Hotkeys I suppose, but having a bad memory, thats not going to work for me. Its just not for the hero but many of the men. I don't know, try it for yourself, bunch up a bunch of your men and I think you'll see what I'm talking about. And again this is probably just my problem. Shrug.

Hope this helps.

Summary: Blizzard's beautiful BALANCE
Review: This isn't merely an expansion. - This is practically a whole new game. The software team at Blizzard has outdone themselves once again, bringing us yet another great Role-play stategy masterpiece. Frozen Throne gives us more Warcraft 3, chock full of great new units, diverse new heroes, and 26 new levels in the campaign/story of Azeroth. Frozen Throne is full of new items, creeps, and multiplayer options and levels. I really can't think of anything worth complaining about concerning this release. I myself found Warcraft 3 to be a little difficult; even after playing for months and honing my skills. Fortuneatly, if you have a hard time with Frozen Throne and get tired of punching the monitor in aggravation, you can now adjust the difficulty of your opponent. Three settings: Easy, Normal, and Insane. There is also a nifty Handicap option in the setup screen that can make computer controlled players a bit weaker. So aside from the cool new units and heroes, this game brings more balance to the Warcraft experience. Blizzard has done a great job adjusting and modifying units, hit points, and build times from the previous game. For instance: Some buildings now build faster, certain units cost less food points, and the total food cap is now raised. - Adversely, some buildings now take longer to upgrade, heroes gain experience slower after a time, and particular items are now more expensive etc.. The list goes on. Though I am glad to report that just about all of the changes are good. The game is better balanced and a bit more fun now. The new units and maps (even has weather effects now -/snow/ rain) breathe new life into the Warcraft world. This is definitely a better offering than the original Warcraft 3. -Hardcore RTS/RPS gamers and newcomers alike would be foolish to pass up a seat on The Frozen Throne.

Summary: warcraft III FROZEN THRONE single player campaign review
Review: This review is mainly dedicated to the single player campaign portion of the frozen throne expansion. Overall, the campaigns are just as fun as the first campaigns of warcraft III, Reign of Chaos, though a little easier. Principally, the campaigns are still designed to familiarize yourself with the strengths of the new creeps, neutral heroes, and new units for each race. The individual scenarios that make up the campaigns are helpful for newer players to become familiar with the new build contingencies (for multiplayer or custom games).and However the campaigns by themselves are also fun to play. The new races are really exciting, especially the Naga. Also new super powerful semi-hero type units really enhance the gameplay and create new advantages for each race. However, I was disappointed by the lack of cinematics throughout the campaigns... I've completed both the sentinels and alliance campaigns...(2/4) and only seen the one opening cinematic. (the cinematic sequences are one of the top strengths of Blizzards' games and unfortunately are somewhat lacking in this expansion) I'm hoping that the game designers are saving the best for last.

Summary:

PROS:
*excellent new terrain - greater use of water and visually creative backgrounds
*dynamic new neutral races - Naga - have land and sea ability
*powerful new units and upgrades- allow for new race specific strategies and advantages...
*easier to multitask and manage queues and units (can put upgrades in same queue as units - peons and workers can queue buildings)
*less time spent building armies and obtaining resources

Cons:
*single player campaign is relatively easy...
*enemies are easily overcome by very powerful heroes, most fully upgraded for you
*fewer cinematics between campaigns as in previous blizzard offerings

Summary: The best of the best....gets better

Summary: Serve Thawed!
Review: My, Oh My! I cannot express the hatred I had for this game when it was originally released in the Summer of 2003. In November 2003, I decided to jump the bandwagon and see for myself what Blizzard has done with this expansion pack. There is no turning back now...I am in love all over again. To sum it up, Frozen Throne adds 4 heroes (1 to each race), a host of new units with new abilities, 5 new neutral heroes, player built shops, host of new maps and enhanced battle.net features. This is not your ordinary "Let's add 6 maps, a new game mode and call it an expansion pack" kinda gig. The game is much deeper than it originally seems at first glance. Players of Reign of Chaos will feel right at home with the controls. Be warned and get ready for some frustration as adjusting to the economy system of Frozen Throne will take a little getting used to. Many will tell you that cost is down in Frozen Throne, and this is true to some extent...but they neglect to tell you that nearly everything costs more lumber now. Old strategies often fail, so don't expect to win with that old Reign of Chaos strategy. Frozen Throne affords some variety on a level not seen in Reign of Chaos, that is you no longer see people getting the same units in every game. In the old days, you'd know what your opponent was getting if say, he was an orc player. Frozen Throne also exhibits a slower style of gameplay than featured in Reign of Chaos. This is not a bad thing at all. People no longer tech (upgrade) as quickly as they did in Reign of Chaos as there is more emphasis on tier 1 units (particularly melee) to survive early game. The game is balanced as can be and updates are a plenty. As the case with all Blizzard games, online play is a blast. For the hardcore strategist, Frozen Throne aims to please and boasts a surprisingly long campaign considering it is just an expansion pack. If games of this genre are your bag of tricks, don't miss out...pick this title up today!

Summary: A Good Game Yet Confusing to Starcraft fanatics
Review: A good game which I had difficulty to adjusting to since there are many confusing options. As I progressed through single player (and beat it) I fell in love with the game. I enjoyed the deep class system , and warious options and special abilities. Yet the only thing that made me score it 4 stars is that I miss the simplicity of Starcraft... Definetly a must buy!
