Summary: The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring PC Game
Review: "The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring" PC game is great! It has wonderful graphics, spectacular sound, a superb storyline, and good game play to offer. The voice acting and music (score) in "The Fellowship of the Ring" PC game are outstanding! This game does have a lot of great action, adventure, and excitement to offer so it makes a great game to play on a rainy, or boring, day. As "The Fellowship of the Ring" is a game with a good amount of action and adventure it is also a little strategic as well. The characters you play as are Frodo the hobbit, Aragorn the ranger, and Gandalf the wizard. The foes that you must fight in this game are huge spiders, trolls, orcs, a terrible balrog demon and much more. "The Fellowship of the Ring" PC game is based on the author J.R.R. Tolkiens "The Lord of the Rings" book trilogy which I have read. Therefore I will say that this game goes by the book trilogy very well. But there are two things I don't like about this game; and they are: the camera angle (it can get a little out of range at times while in spaces that are not that wide open), and glitches (there are a few minor glitches in this game that are not too bad). But other than those two things everything else in this PC game is great. I highly recommend you buy "The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring" PC game!

Summary: This Game Is Great!
Review: Why are there so many negative reviews about this wonderful game?! I happen to like "The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring" game because it is fun, exciting, and has a lot of good action and adevnture in it. My favorite character in this game is Gandalf because he is awsome at fighting and using his magic against evil foes. Aragorn and Frodo are pretty awsome to play as also because they have great fighting skills. The enemies to fight in this game are huge spiders, orcs, trolls, and more. I highly recommend you buy "The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring" game for your PC. But, make sure this game is compatible with your PC first, and then buy it.

Summary: Adventure Genre or Action Genre...it's all about CONTROLS
Review: I only just received this game via UPS a few days ago and already I am highly disillusioned and highly tempted to put the game away or sell it to an 'action genre' (which is what this game really seems to be more of) fan and rue the loss of what might have been a truly fantastic game. I have been a Tolkein fan since 1967 (long, long ago) and when I read the hype on this game and how it stuck to the books by Tolkein (upon which I wrote my college English lit thesis) I decided that this was an adventure game that I really wanted to have. At the beginning of the game we find Frodo running 'helter skelter' all over the Shire doing mundane... tasks NOT found in the books. Finally, we finish with that and head to Bywater, very short and sweet and wonder what that was all about. We head back to Baggend to retrieve the Ring and to hand over the key to Mr. Gamgee which is the beginning of the action genre. From that point on, I found that I, as Frodo, was totally unable to get out of the Gamgees front yard before I was 'killed' by a Black Rider (after the 7th death, I called it quits and headed here).
Secondly, we have far too many keyboard, mouse and mouse+keyboard controls and are not given any where near the time to learn all of the controls before the attacks begin and we find ourselves in need of controls that up until now haven't even been used in the game. Unless you are really an action fan and don't mind lots of controls and have an excellent memory and extremely dexterous fingers, I would say: leave this one on the shelf!

Summary: Bastardization of a great book
Review: Who cares whether it follows the plot of the movie or the book? It's got terrible controls, very few options, stupid, repetitive tasks, a linear, shallow plot, and it's ridiculously easy. This game totally blows.
