Review: This set is a great introduction to the lands of Ultima and role-playing games in general. Ultima Online is a deep, rich, open-ended experience that allows you to create a vast variety of characters, and interact with others from all corners of the globe. Ultima IX is a beautiful, huge game packed with spells, quests, monsters, and a deeply woven plot. However, to play UO you will need to shell out $10 a month, and U9 requires a cutting-edge system to run. Other than this, I heartily recommend these games.

Summary: Good Deal for RPG lovers!
Review: Ultima online is a great game for any one with plenty of spare time and a love for roleplaying games with fun on going adventure. I've been playing Ultima online for 3 years now and I still get great thrills every time I play the game! It's a bit fightening to dish out 9.95 a month for it, but its well worth it! Ascensions is a great offline version of Ultima online 'cept its a ton better in graphics and the game is great once you get the patches. Tons of fun for any offline or online gaming!

Summary: Fun Game but....
Review: Ultima Online is a role playing game that takes place in Mideval Times. In this game, you can have a variety of different characters (5 per server). These characters can be customized to be very good at doing certain things. They can be trained to be good at anything from killing other people, to making boxes. It is very self-directed and customizeable.The thing is that you must train your characters in their particular skills. This involves going out and doing certain activities over and over again (a.k.a macroing). The more you character does that activity, the higher their skill goes. Each character can have and where from 0 points (bad) up to 100 points (GM - Grand Master) in any 7 skills. At the beginning of the game, you can even select what sex you want your character to be, select what color and style hair they have. In the game, you can also change what your character is wearing, thus making it easy to give your character a different look from anyone else. At first this game can be rather confusing hard to do. I was lucky enough to have an experienced friend who was able to take me through some of the first steps. I can only imagine that it would be a lot harder to start out if you do not have anyone to help you out. New players (or newbies as they are called by self-proclaimed veterans) are often scoffed at. There is almost like an initiation for new players. After you have gotten started in this game, it becomes quite fun and quite self directed. It gets to where you are trying as hard as you can to get to certain levels, whether thy be in your skill levels, or maybe your bank account. This game is also a lot of fun in that you can get friends, join "guilds" (kinda like clubs). The best part is that most of the people in the game are acutally real people that are also playing the game via the internet. It is a great game that is lots of fun to play, but it can be very time consuming if you do not have a good sense of self control. It can become addicting very easily, so I caution against buying this game if you are in school or have a job. This game did eventually start cutting into my school performance because I would spend my time playing it instead of doing my homework. So in conclusion, If you have nothing better to do, then get this game. I promise that you will enjoy it, but be careful not to play it too much. It is very easy to do.

Review: well, first I have played for a long while, the game is ok....Tram is the place to make the money , Fel is where ya go if you want to have fun. There is a big split between Tram an Fel ( those are two sides of the "world" ) There is way to much duping, hording an account hacking with this game, So be VERY carefull! This game is alot of fun, but it does lag a bit when it comes to really playing. I have seen alot of people leave, very poor customer service, over pricing, Ebay, an poor updates & coding problems. Depending on what "shard" you play on, the people will be good or bad.......When I say that I mean that I have seen entire shards made up of the worst gamers I have ever seen an other shards made up of the best people I have ever come across while playing. There is no RPing in this game, really very few people do it......Check the game out.....if you well want to spend 10 bucks a month on nothing more than a D&D game where everyone is a GM an no one is a player......

Review: While Ultima Online may work ok for most video cards, anyone with a TNT, Radeon, or Geforce is not going to be able to play Ultima IX. Running a 1 gig AMD Thunderbird with 256MB RAM I can't get decent frame rates even on the lowest 640x480x16 settings. (Note: The box says it'll run on a P266). When I had my old 3DFX Voodoo 2 it ran fine. Be sure to take this into consideration when purchasing this bundle. If you don't have a 3DFX card, just get Ultima Online Third Dawn and save your cash.
