Summary: Most god-awful, bug-written game ever conceived. Stay away
Review: Anarchy Online paints a great first impression with the possibilities of what it could've been, but it goes straight down to hell afterwards. It lacks in every single possible area imaginable. All there is to do in the game is kill monsters, level, kill monsters, level, kill monsters, level. It get's very repetative, very fast. Although previous MMORPGs center their activity around this as well, they at least placed some effort into "decorating" this activity. In AO, nothing is done to hide it. Computer generated unique missions/quests, sounds like fun, until you find out they are NOT unique and they are NOT fun. There are about 5 mission descriptions, and they are re-used over and over again, with one key noun changed here and there. The dungeons generated are two-dimensional. In otherwords, you never find a room overlapping another. It's a maze of squared rooms interconnected by doors. i.e. You walk into one room and you find 3 doors to choose from. One in front, another to your and lasting another to you right. Sufficient to say, this is boring. Even your items are boring. They have about 20-30 items total!!! Armor and weaponry you were at level 1, you'll find yourself wearing at level 200. You're avatar is also limited by it's customization, i.e. you are only allowed to pick from a dozen faces or so. Making it so that you are running into your twin every few minutes, or maybe even tripplet! And these are just some of the gameplay issues, this list is miniscule compared to the list of bugs and unfinished sections of the game. If you buy this game, you are going to be basically paying a company to finish their 60% done game. And only that. You will only be paying, not playing. Because it is extremly difficult to play the game without crashing, disconnecting, freezing your machine, etc... And even if you are lucky enough to stay connected without these problems, the lack of things to do in the game would keep you from playing anyway. Also FunCom provides absolutely zero customer support. They've even gone as far as taking away their customer's ability to voice their opinionon their game, by moderating their forums for negative reviews.

Summary: This game is garbage and I cancelled after a month
Review: AO rivals WWIIOL for the worst release of a multiplayer game. Show stopping bugs that they were never able to fix even after 2 months after release and a development team that has no idea what it means to have paying customers.

Summary: Troublesome and Tiresome
Review: AO started with great promise, and failed to live up to any of it. I played this game for 3 months and suffered through what could arguably be the worst and most problem ridden release of any on line game to date. It did not get better. The concept was fine, the execution, horrific. I truly do not believe the programmers have any guidence, customer service is nearly non-existent ( e-mail only no phone) and the game is plagued by bugs and poor, almost weekly, patches. The good things, great graphics, too bad it takes more than eye candy to make a game.

Summary: Empty Box
Review: Dear Fellow Consumers,
Please do not make the mistake I did and spend your hard earned dollars on this empty box. The title of my review sums the game up. There is NO content to the game, the issues of play balance and trade skills has still, since Beta4, yet to be addressed by the folks at FunNot. Fair warning givin, play DOAC or one of the other new game coming out, but dont send FunNot a dime of your money.

Summary: Don't support shoddy programing and customer service!
Review: This game was put out for one reason. To rip off gamers.

Simply put, the game is unfinished Funcom has no CLUE as to what to do with it now. Sad. Very sad.

Summary: I will never buy funcom again
Review: game isn't that good to begin with, add in that it is completely unplayable, and you have a huge waste of money, don't believe me, check out the AO boards. you'll have to look at the archived boards since Funcom has stopped letting people post negative things.

Summary: Worst Customer Service EVER!
Review: This is the worst online game I have ever played. I have played RPGs, etc for at least twenty years from AD&D, to UO to Everquest. I have never received any in-game assistance nor any replies to my emails to funcom's customer service. I played for months only because of the people but I am frustrated with the lack of asking the customer base for opinions without introducing many new bugs with every single patch. This game should have been released in 2002 when it was ready. Don't get me started on the TCP/IP situation and lag. One star was chosen because Zero is not available - don't waste your money on this game.

Summary: Very disappointed
Review: I had alot of hopes for this game when it first hit the shelf. Unfortunately, as soon as I got it home I really saw the numerous bugs that plagued this title. First off, there was huge memory leaks where nearly everyone's computer would crash every 30 mins to an hour. Huge exploits went noticed as a very slow pace. And finally huge balance changes were made with no warning whatsoever, essentially nerfing all classes in PvE. I recently cancelled my account after going through 2 months of this, and won't turn back.
