Summary: had good potential but ruined by fun?com
Review: very nice graphics and good audio but gameplay broken.

They failed to catch massive exploiding at start,
and after about 3 month when these guys where allready Lvl 150+
they changed gameplay to ultra-hard to stop the playerbase from leveling too fast...

different approach to handle exploing at least :), just not nice for a new starter.

Summary: Worst Online game!
Review: This has to be the worst online game that I have played to date. The graphics and sound are awesome but this in no way makes up for the total incompetance of the Funcom programmers. They constantly demonstrate their lack of regard for the playing customer in the ever increasing bad patches that they introduce to this game. The game is riddled with exploits. Has very little to no content. Constant disconnects, massive lag and extensive time warps which are constantly causing players to roll back lossing xp.

Summary: Review after 3 month playtime
Review: The game had huge potential. Amazing graphics, interesting background storyline. In the beginning it was very funny and motivating. But the problem now is the developer company. The game became less playable after each patch/update. Every single update caused more problem than it has fixed. With the actual patch version 12.6 its completely unplayable, unmotivating and no more fun. The customer support (a very important thing for a MMORPH) is the worst ive ever seen. Most features in this game are broken, game balance is unbelevable bad. When you play this game its funny till you have reached level 40 or so (a normal player will reach this level after 3-4 weeks). But than it becomes clear that this game is totally bugged, boring and unbalanced. I have cancelled my account.

Summary: This is an awful game
Review: I've played EQ for 2 1/2 years and was really looking forward to AO. Well, I'll be blunt - it stinks. The world is hugh - and empty. The missions are unique - but really all the same. The FPS in the cities is literally below one per second.

Summary: Great Concept, Bad Game and Customer Service
Review: The concept of Anarchy online is awesome, but the developers, three months after release, have shown their ineptitude.

The system requirements for the game are laughable.

Due to bad base coding the game suffers from severe lag. People with high speed systems, latest video cards, and over 500 mb ram still have problems with memory leaks which were reportedly fixed in three separate patches.

I recommend not buying this game for one very simple reason, it was never ready to be released in it's current state. In one year, after trade skills are implemented, basic features are implemented, and the game is stable, it may be a very good game.
But Funcom has shown the lack of Customer Support, the inability to test patches (game changes) before implemented, and an inability to solve character and server stability.

In the current state one star is giving AO too much praise.

Summary: They should have called this game Anarchy Offline
Review: This game and Funcom as a company are the worst ever to hit the gaming shelves. If you buy this product you will learn alot of things about your computer that you never wanted to know. Most of all you will learn how to reboot your computer in a timely and efficent manner

Summary: Wonderful idea falls far
Review: While the game still has great potential, most of it has been ruined by Funcom. 3 months after release, Funcom is still dealing with bugs and balance issues that should have been addressed in Beta. Every patch released causes more bugs and balance issues. Furthermore, Funcom seems to take little notice of the game's community, and constructive input seems largely ignored, unless it's something quick and easy to implement. All in all, I'd suggest avoiding this one.

Summary: Good Ideas, Poor Execution, No Respect for Customers
Review: The game has some fun elements. However, the shipping version of the game does not yet have all the features touted on the box implemented yet. Many have considered this paying to play a Beta.

Since you have to pay a monthly fee to play, you need to believe the company will keep its commitments in order to shell out cash every month. So far, the company has done little to give customers that faith.

Perhaps in 2002 check back and see if the game has improved... unless you find something else you like better by then, such as Neocron.

Summary: Anarchy Online.. They Got The Anarchy Part Right...
Review: Where should I even start with this?

I had high hopes for the game when I bought it. I had such high expectations, that I bought one account for myself, and one for a friend. Boy, was I disappointed.

The system requirements listed on the box are less than accurate. If you have less than 512Mb of RAM, a high P3, and a 64Mb GeForce 2, don't even think about this game. You will not be able to play.

If that wasn't enough, FunCom's support is the worst I have ever seen. You can wait for over 6 hours for a Game Master to respond to your request for help. Email to the company takes even longer to get a response from that is if they respond to your email.

Sure, the game has some nice graphics, and has a lot of possibilities, but unless you have a super computer and a T1 connection the game is very difficult to enjoy.

Another thing. Don't be upset if you find FunCom patching on a Friday at peek playing times with a bad patch. They have done it before, and the bad patch will stay on the live servers till at least Monday evening.

All in all. I give the game one star. If you are considering getting this game, at least read the Anarchy Online message boards at ... first. Ask people about the game and then build your decision.

It truly is anarchy.

Summary: There is no Zero star selection.
Review: You should create one for the game that was Anacrcy Online. It lived up to the name, if nothing else.
