Summary: A must Buy
Review: I recently played tribes 2 over a freinds house, and it became addicting. So i borrowed the game to put on my computer, but i didnt have a fast enough card. So i was seraching for some games similar to tribes 2. Then it hit me! Tribes. of course. Tribes is a lot like t2, but it doesnt have as steep computer requierments. So i can play it. It so much fun. I Highly recomend Tribes to anyone with a comp that cant handle tribes 2. By the way T2 is really cool also, just gotta have a good comp for it!

Summary: Definite must buy!
Review: I wish that they had a rating of 4.8 since that is what this game deserves. The net code is so clean that I am amazed at how well it runs on my 56kb modem. The game is loaded with several weapons and armor classes. Only the light armors may fly planes, and the game has an interesting internal balance. But if you want crazy off the wall weapons then many servers run special mods that add boundless versions of everything. You can find servers that allow you to fly endlessly and fire hundreds of mortars in a few seconds. One problem is that I bought the game so far past its initial release date that there were few newbies for me to fight. So I basically get my butt handed to me by the experienced players. But you get better, and it has great replay value. Unfortunately I seem to have lost a little interest in it because the servers play the same maps way too often.

Review: If you are looking for a high quality, unbelievably online game, you've just found it. I can usually get bored with a game after 5 months or so, but not with Tribes. I've owned Tribes for a year, and I STILL love it! It leaves Quake III in the dust. It excels in teamplay, and has six times the strategy of Quake III, Unreal Tournament, and Half-Life CounterStrike.......COMBINED. It is by FAR, hands down, the BEST first person shooter today, NO QUESTIONS ASKED!

Summary: One of the best sleepers I've set my dirty hands on!
Review: If you need team-based with a blend of Unreal Tourney and the Sci-Fi Channel, here's a good title to work on. It's all multiplayer, so there's no single-player mode (besides the training missions). It's a hard game to explain, but I can say this: this game is fun and heck and lets you take any role, whether it be a repairman, heavy defence, or transport pilot. Buy this if your computer isn't so hot. If you do have a good computer with a GeForce2, get Tribes 2; it adds on to the first in almost every way and is a little more fun than this title. But get either one, Tribes is one of Sierra's best titles.

Summary: The most addictive thing since crack...
Review: My wife left me, the dog ran away, the house is falling down around me... But I don't care. I have Tribes. As long as I have a good ping, I am happy.

But seriously, This is the first online game I have ever played. I have tried others since I first got Tribes, but none compare. I have a crappy system and worse phone lines but, I still love playing. I can't believe it's not more popular. They don't know what they are missing. So if you are reading this, buy the game, and when Tribes 2 comes out, buy that too.

Summary: best first-person I've ever played
Review: Normally I'm not a fan of first-person shooters, as I find them terribly pointless and stupid, as they are little more than "lets see how much I can blow up in as little time as possible." Yet Tribes is different. Its actually a fun game, since rather than dealing with fairly idiotic AI, you're combatting against actual human intelligence, making things so much more difficult. The gameplay interface is a snap, and the graphics are to die for. The only problems I came across were the sheer impossibility of playing on a regular modem, which is expected I guess (lucky I have a t1), and the lack of real preparation the tutorial gives you. While providing familiarity with the controls, weapons, and mission types, it does not even remotely prepare you for playing with real people. Expect a baptism of fire the first time you play, unless you luck out and end up with a bunch of other newbies. You catch on pretty quick though, surprisingly.

Summary: THE BEST GAME ON THE FACE OF THE EARTH
Review: Starsiege Tribes is (by a Hiroshima) the best game on our planet. There is so much, I repeat, SO MUCH to do in the tribes universe. One problem with the game that is a problem but once you play you'll forget: NO single player. The multiplayer is SO good that this game should be called BUBBA and Halo and all those other[...] games should be renamed BUBBA'S[...]. For $10 or less, you cannot beat this. Get it. Absorb it. Die a happy gamer. You will not regret it my friends.

Summary: Great online game!
Review: Starsiege Tribes is the best online game I have ever played. The cd itself is required only for installation, so if you lose the disc you don't have to worry. The game has a few short single player missions with AIs to get used to the missions, weapons, armor, etc. The AIs are kinda dumb though. They only use one weapon(disc launcher), and they don't use their jets, so they're kinda easy. Online, everything is amazingly clean. I mean, most people don't curse at all on the servers. There's no cheating to ruin the servers and the game itself like what happened with another game I've played, Diablo. Tks are no problem as team damage can be turned off either by vote or by the admin. There are more than a dozen different server types, so you don't have to play with the same weapons you get on single player missions. The missions themselves are usually time limited capture the flag games. The admin can change the time limit if he wants. You can generally be sure that the admin is a good guy because the only way to become an admin is to be voted admin for the server. Another good thing is that if someone with the same name as you joins or is already there when you join, the guy who joined most recently gets a .1 put at the end of his name(i.e. if your name is Guy and someone else named Guy joins the server you're on he is listed as Guy.1 while you remain Guy). The only bad thing about this game is that every few weeks you have to go to certain websites to get downloads to play new types of missions.
