Summary: Everquest just keeps getting worse
Review: Everquest was a fun game that gets progressivly more boring each level you gain. AT first I thought this game was excellent but as my character grew so did the problems, spending hours just trying to find monsters to fight, lag deaths, terrible customer service, and the list goes on. This expansion pack is no diffrent from the rest of the game. Aviod this like the plague and spend your money on the better upcoming online roleplaying games.

Review: This is the best game .. hands down! Just get it.It does have some annoying down time but it is not as much as some reviewers say it is.It is just that you begin to love the game and when you can't play it seems like a very long time. The game masters do help you although it may take a little while.I think they can just get your account name ... I had a problem and got tired of waiting for a reply so I logged another of my many chacters. They got to me on that one I don't know if it always works but good way to pass time while waiting for a response.Well there goes the petition complaint I have read so much about.I love this game it is a perfect way to pass time but it becomes a perfect way to spend time. This game leaves all the other games in the dust choking!Buy it and give LILLUIENYA on VALLON ZEK PVP a tell.JOIN A PVP SERVER they keep the game very interesting.I bought the game for interactive play not just killing a computer player beside me!Although it does stink to be killed on a long journey or anytime it keeps the game fun and also you can send your murderer a tell of his deeds if it is a low PK (Player Killer) wich means he/she PKed you when you had no chance to fight back such as when your LD (Link Dead) or if your level of exp is way lower than yours displayed by targeting him and clicking C for consider or if he/she killed after a long battle with another creature. If this happens shout his/her name and say his/her wrong-doing chances are another player can bloody his sword on him.(expeirenced players don't kill me if you petition and log another chacter and they don't get to you, check up on it first to see if it really works, plus i like my body don't make it a corpse) or you can send me a tell to tell me about how much you enjoyed the review (or to try to find me and kill me =( not funny). I have made many friends and sometimes you even find out about their real life although you aren't always interested the player you play really becomes you in the game you kinda forget about you and just enter the fantastic and fantasy world of EVERQUEST! Have fun!

Summary: Okay, everyone get over it.
Review: First of all the expansion isn't released yet, why all the ratings? secondly for all you whiners, yes, everquest has some flaws, but you get past them, continue on and just play! for the person who complained about corpse runs, medding, healing, and so on, what do you expect? your mana to never go down? your corpse to be summoned to your bind point? and to never loose health? what are you thinking?? i am an experienced player and these are things you have to get over.

Summary: EQ
Review: IF you have been playing everquest for a while then you probably already know about SoV, and are probably drooling over it right now. If you don't even know what Everquest is, then take a look at Ruins of Kunark. ... All i have to say is this:

should you decide to play everquest, let your family and friends know where you are, because they wont be seeing you for a while.

Summary: EverQuest Still Growing
Review: I haven't played this game that long, but from a gamers viewpoint and from somewhat of a computer geek standpoint. The game is AWESOME. This game is alive and continues to grow, and that my friends is why you are going to see bugs and glitches, if you want a dead game, bug free, internet free there are plenty out there for you to get. In fact get out of EQ all together, your complaints just cause lag.

What most people have trouble with in this game is their own personal computer system, or their connection, and from a CS stand point that isn't Sony's problem. I agree they could communicate with the player base a bit better, and there is room for improvement with any endeavor, Sony is not isolated.

But most of the players out there that have issues with the game, need to get a grip and realize with a game of this magnitude, all online, and sometimes supporting up to 60,000 plus players at once. That is amazing! Look around, no one else can even come close. Yes pioneers have obsticles.

But in my opinion Customer Service keeps getting better, and if you would lose the attitude when dealing with the guide or GM, you may in fact find they are really very helpful.

If you want a game like no other, and want it to last all through the next couple of years..... Buy this game.

Summary: It's not even out yet!!!
Review: The fun you have with Everquest is based on how you play the game. At lower levels the game is a lot of fun. A person can play an hour or so each night and still see progression in the game. As your character gets older you will soon find it takes several hours to even get organized and go out and hunt the monsters or do the quests. The server you play on will also determine the amount of fun you have. At lower levels this does not matter but as you mature in the game you'll discover that certain groups of people dictate what can be hunted and what rare item you might get should you be lucky enough to get into a decent hunting group. I play computer games to remove myself from the politics of every day life. In EverQuest the politics in the online community can sometime be far worse than those you would experience in life. On the other hand in real life you cannot chose to duel your rivals to the death.

I've played Everquest for almost a year now. Most of the players have played at least this long if not longer. People are getting bored and are starting to quit and are preparing for the next generation online game. If you already own Everquest then you will probably buy this expansion. If you are considering becomming a new player then hold off on buying this until you have progressed far enough in the full version of the game.

Summary: EverQuest Online Comment
Review: From what I have seen "EverQuest: The Scars of Velious " looks good and I'm ready to buy it. I have read all the comments and must Lol. If we lived in a perfect world where all was perfect the negative comments could be understood. EverQuest has broken new ground in the Online Network Gaming Arena, which were major complains with the other Online Games pre-EverQuest. As a Systems Engineer I understand Bugs, but when dealing with Millions of lines of code and the complexity of the EverQuest code you are going to have Bugs. (Look at the Operating system you're running it on???) Customer Service is always an issue with everyone in every environment dealing with just about everything. Rule #1 You can't please everyone. Someone doesn't get his or her way and now it's a 'bad customer service issue'. (No I don't work for the folks at Verant.) I see the current EverQuest as an amazing accomplishment from a networking point-of-view. And I'm hopping that Lessons Learned from EverQuest will be put to good use with EverQuest II.

Summary: Whining and complaining...GIVE IT A REST ALREADY
Review: I have got to say, I have also heard all the "horror stories" about Verant and their supposed lack of respect for players. All I can say is "If you don't like it, QUIT playing". You're ruining it for the rest of us. I for one have had NO problems with the game or it's GM's. When I've petitioned I've followed their guidlines and had satisfactory responses EACH time.

Now onto the game itself. One word....FABULOUS. I began playing this game almost a year ago. And in that time I have gone from the typical 'addict' to a more reserved game player. I got so wrapped up in the "reality" of this game that I almost forgot I had a real life. This game has the ability to transport you into such a dynamic and fascinating fantasy realm that you will actually loose touch with the real world. It is by far the greates RPG I have ever experienced online. It's depth of fantasy is only out matched by my own imagination.

One of the best aspects of this game is the grouping. I enjoy meeting different people and talking with them. I'd even classify some of my adventuring partners as close friends. I play a cleric and I cannot even begin to think what my experiences in this game would be if I decided to go *solo*. It is out of the question for me as I like the fact you are required to group with others. How fun is a game where you are *uber* and alone? You might as well just climb in a closet if you like playing this way. I for one enjoy this aspect more than the graphics (which rock) and the other outstanding features of EQ.

I cannot wait for Scars to arrive. My wife has already promised me an early Yule present and I am so nervous as each day passes and it's release comes closer.

Summary: Reviewing something that isn't even previewed?
Review: Unlike most game companies, VI lets nothing at all be known about games that they are about to ship. They basically take the stance, "trust us, it is fun, we are gaming gods" Nothing is known about the game, and no review is possible. Asking someone to preorder this game based upon NO information is an exercise in the gullibility of your customer base.
