Summary: Delta Force 2 a good purchase for those bored with Rainbow 6
Review: Delta Force 2 is, in my opinion, the best of the DF-series. For those who have played the original, DF2 has numerous features its predecessor was lacking. Many structures, such as storage tanks and armories, are destructable, and cause a large fireball when hit by a LAW rocket or fragmentation grenade. Speaking of frag grenades, DF2 has two types: impact or delayed-detonation. This will be a welcome change for those who blew themselves to pieces when their impact-fused grenades landed short of their target. Numerous weapons have been added, including two underwater "guns" and a 12-gauge shotgun mounted on an M4 carbine. The levels are well done; my favorite is one where after designating targets on the opposite side of a river for artillery strikes, the player "must" commandeer a deserted gunboat, take it across the river, and mop-up the remaining enemy forces. But DF2 does have some flaws. The game still uses the same, unattractive Voxel graphics its predecessor had. Direct3D support is promised, but when activated, it only worsens the quality of the graphics. The game has severe clipping problems, and players will often find parts of their avatar's body "ghosting" through apparently solid objects. The box promises the ability to "terrorize the terrorists with...fixed machine gun and grenade-launcher emplacements", but they are apparently impossible to use, and very hard to find. Aside from these niggling flaws, DF2 is money well spent for the action gamer looking for a quick-fix!

Summary: Slow but still Awesome
Review: I first played Delta Force at my friend's house, and i loved it. So when I heard that NovaLogic was making a part two, I was really happy. The game has good graphics, fun levels, and the some of the best sound in any game I have ever played. I mean, you can hear excellent echo's, the wind is great, but the best part of the sound is the bullets. It really scares the crap outta you to hear bullets wizzing 2 inches past your head. If you dont live in an apartment, and your parents aren't home, turn the volume ALL THE WAY UP! It sounds like you're actually there. The one thing that this game gets critisized about the most is that it's really choppy. It's a real pain in the ass to try to use your scope. I really hope NovaLogic makes a patch for this. Anyways, this game is worth your money, especially if you like sniping, because most of the people you kill are 3/4 of a mile to a mile away from you. GET THIS GAME! TriggerHappy

Summary: Two different Games in one
Review: The first of these games are the single player campaign missions which while fun ranger from easy to really really easy. The enemy A.I is at its best lackluster and at worse totally moronic. To tell you truth I never bothered much with the single player missions. The 2nd game which totally kicks butt and gets you your money's worth is the multplayer part. Anyone who is a fan of Red Faction or Halflife will love this game. On-line it is a total slaughter-fest even though the community has shrank n recent years as people have gone on to either the DF sequals or something else simply to combat the rise in cheating. The other versions of the game did a much better of keeping the cheaters out. Overall-Still all in all I just love this game

Summary: DELTA FARCE
Review: Delta Force II is just the second game in a series that prides itself in offering gamers the "realistic" experience of being a modern-day soldier. You won't find any BFG's or laser guns, just like you won't find aliens and monsters. I've only played the demo, but that is all the game is worth, I'm afraid. There is a severe AI imbalance in this game. Your enemies have little to no problem at all hitting you from a distance, yet when you're right in their face, they don't seem to see you for a few seconds. You would think it would be the other way around. Next, the graphics. Delta Force II uses voxels, which are 3D pixels, as I understand it. Although that sounds as if it would graphically boost the game, it really does not. Up close, the graphics are pretty standard fare. But enemies a couple hundred yards away appear as grey or green rectangles standing on end. Insert that enemy into a grassy field of almost the same color, and you'll find that he's nearly impossible to spot at such a distance. Many times you'll find yourself 6 inches away from the computer monitor, eyes squinting. The one demo mission that DF 2 has is not very impressive. Parachute down among your enemies, take them out, bomb the building, get on the helicopter. And there are no alternative ways of completing your mission. Although the terrain stretches on forever, allowing you to take a position on a very far away hill to snipe from, it doesn't add much to the game. Most depressing is going out of your way so you WON'T be seen, only to be impossibly killed by one of the enemies. But the redeeming value of the game is in its multiplayer. Even with a demo, you'll find at least 5 different games going on 24 7. If you do decide to buy this game, don't worry about people losing interest in its multiplayer mode. It's a pity that Delta Force is the farce that it is. But if you want to play a REALLY IMPRESSIVE modern-day military shooter, I suggest you try OPERATION FLASHPOINT.

Summary: Against the flow
Review: Rather like 'Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear', 'Delta Force 2' initially seems to be a slightly-massaged mission pack for the original 'Delta Force'. The graphics have been improved slightly, in that you now get to crawl through grass, and considerably more of the man-made scenery can be blown sky-high with a wider range of macho hardware, the but the actual gameplay boils down to long-range sniping, followed by close-range sniping, followed by grenades and a dash to the rescue chopper. Unfortunately for 'DF2', it isn't enough. Crucially, the voxel-based graphics engine, whilst perfect for long-range sniper-fests, is jerky and slow on anything less than a fast PIII. Whilst not unattractive, the graphics seem shoddily done, with buildings looking particularly nasty. It's a shame, really, as voxels seem to be the only way to display convincingly-detailed topography without curtailing the viewing range. The gameplay itself is hardly changed from the original, and becomes quiet monotonous after a while - the variety present in 'Rogue Spear' is missing here. All the original AI faults are back, too - the bad guys have a habit of dashing straight past you when they get up close, or running into walls and sticking there. All in all, it's much the same as the original, and if you liked that, you'll like this - but only if you have a fast PC. It's important to stress this. On my 450mhz P2, the game juddered in 640x480 resolution, making it very hard to accurately aim, fire, and shift my aim to another target.

Summary: Bad Graphics
Review: Let me start by saying that I'm a loyal Delta Force (DF) player. I've played every one in the series so far. This is the only game in the series that I've regretted purchasing. DF1 was a software-rendered game. It didn't rely on OpenGL (hardware) and other stuff like that. DF2, on the other hand, is the first OpenGL game in the series. It seems very dark and kind of slow. Maybe it works better on some video cards, but it didn't work that well on my TNT2. I'd recommend getting Land Warrior (DF3), which also has hardware support, but none of the issue of DF2. Or, get one of the newer ones in the series. As of the time of this writing, Black Hawk Down (DF5) is what I'm currently playing (and the newest in the series).

Summary: Good Military Game, but pretty violent
Review: I am an avid military FPS player, and the Delta Force series is the best, I think. In Delta Force2 there are 45 or more missions that take place all around the world. The graphics are pretty good, but not as good as Delta Force Land Warrior. Although this game is teen, i think it should be mature, because it is very violent. On the box, it says "Mild Animated Violence." That is all wrong. When you shoot the terrorists, they scream and moan and sometimes crawl on the ground and make gurgling noises. Its pretty sick, and my mom didnt like it.Also, if you go to 3rd person view and shoot your teamates wirh a silenced weapon, you can hear the sickening "Put, Put" of the bullet hitting its target. Although it is violent, it is a very fun and sometimes frustrating game, but I highly reccomend it to military game fans.

Summary: It's a gung-ho first person shooter trying to be realistic
Review: One thing that you have to keep in mind when you play Delta Force 2, is that the game is not super realistic like Swat 3 or Rougue Spear. And that is where this game takes its dive. Delta Force 2 is supposed to offer a realistic quality, wind and distance effecting your accuracy. But, I still haven't seen that done in my game. This game shouldn't be bought as a realistic team fighter, but a gung-ho Rambo type game. Sure you have teammates, but they are useless, and usually die. Also, hostiles who wouldn't spot you in a million years, some how do. But, when you are completely visable, and out in the open, many times hostiles won't even react to you. Also, the graphics are not improved, but rather the same as the first Delta Force. Multiplayer is crude, and often times uneventfull, with simple maps. Really, this game is just an add-on to the original, so if you have the first Delta Force, don't buy this one. If you don't have the first one, and you are in to charging into camps, sniping everything in sight, and a really easily beatable Campaign mode, come on in!

Review: Really. This game is not that good. The graphic are choppy, the gameplay gets kind of boring after about thirteen minutes, and its about the same as Rainbow Six or even the original Delta Force. So, don't waste money on this. Spend it on Land Warrior, or Soldier of fortune. Not this.

Summary: Could Be Better... Get Black Hawk Down
Review: Delta Force is a mostly a good game. The gameplay is very fun, the sound is realistic, and the graphics are ok. However, if you have a good system, then don't bother. Black Hawk Down is a better game, and it's beautiful. But if you like FPS, have a lousy machine, and don't mind a one shot kill (even if you shoot someone in the scope of their gun), get Delta Force 2.
