Aliens Versus Predator 2

Summary: Better than I expected...and very scary!
Review: I have played several shooter and strategy games and this one ranks up there on the fun meter. Yeah, I'll admit that the graphics could be a little better, but the gameplay is fantastic. The alien wall crawl is really cool too. For those of you who are considering this game, it's as much fun as MoHAA and Jedi II outcast.

Summary: Alien Vs Predator II
Review: Alien vs Predator II is a fps with an excellent single player gameplay, It is based on the six alien and predator movies and much better than the orginal game. Set in the future you get to play an alien, a marine and a predator in three different episodes but with the same plot. The storyline is very well written with perfect voice acting. The single player gameplay is excellent and well desinged, the level design is superb, very intresting and scary. Multiplayer gameplay is also available and it is great but not as good as the single player. Avp2 is built on the lithtech engine, The graphics and sound are excellent. I played it on the Direct3D hardware acceleration video mode and the game runs great. Avp2 is not to be missed game if you like fps.

Summary: Aliens vs. Predator 2 good game
Review: This game is a soggy dream come true for Aliens and Predator fans such as myself. And offers enough gameplay and variety for the standard Quake gunner who needs an action fix. The main thing that kept me liking this game was its story, which was cleverly thought out by monolith in the various cutscenes and readable files that were found. Even though I do wonder how this game fits into the Alien and Predator timelines, because mentioned in the last alien movie Perez said that Ripley wiped the alien species out. And to correct one of the editorial reviews, it was lv-426 that the derelict was found on, not lv-1201...

Summary: Plus and Minus...
Review: This was for me a much anticipated release, and after hearing descriptions of the Alien single player I was even more intrigued. In all honesty though I think if you are a true fan of Aliens vs. Predator(the original), you will not like this game.

The alien can no longer "sneak up" on anyone.. even in darkness. And in addition to that, the lights aren't even breakable. Not like it would do any good anyway. The Aliens silent superjump has been replaced with a loud pounce attack that alerts everyone to your presence. Headbites can be a challenge on civilians now as they bob up and down. You have to aim somewhere around where the torso meets the neck.

The Predator has also lost some of his edge.. he now starts with nothing but his wrist blades and a spear gun. Not even the shoulder cannon to start?! His vision conversions have been made to look more like the 80's movie.. well not quite that good. And the water now quickly knocks out your cloak, rather than make it flicker with electricity.

The Marine no longer has the image intensifier, but rather a shoulder light with limited range. It just stops on the ground at a certain distance. It is a true miracle that they can see those Aliens on the tall ceilings. Also the "new" Alien wall textures.. I think look worse than the first game by a long shot.

I must also mention to any graphics fans out there.. with my GeForce4 Ti 4600 and a 1Ghz CPU, this game should run flawlessly for how it looks. I can run Unreal 2003 with all settings outside of character detail at the highest, at 1280x1024 resolution, and it runs smooth. Yet AvP2 chops me up with half the effects settings down to medium. If you are a "hardcore" fan of the AvP series... by all means buy this. Otherwise, my advice is to buy the original.

Review: This game is one of the best.It's suitable for any person.My only complaint is parents don't usually let their kids these kind of games.If I had to rate this I would rate it teen not mature. It's a very realistic game and is axtrodanarily exhillerating thats all I have to say about Alien v.s. Predator 2.I'm a man of few words.

Summary: I was a bit disapointed.
Review: After reading so many good reviews of this game I went out and bought it. It is possible that my review is biased in that I only played the game for 2 days but frankly it just isn't enjoyable enough to make me want to play more. There are many interesting ideas included here and it had great potential which was lost in the actual game play and level design. The interface although fairly intuitive leaves somthing to be desired. The level design is fairly standard fare for FPS games, the usual save often instead of use your head ... I can not say if the multi-player was well done becouse I have already moved on to another title. People who are great fans of FPS games will probably enjoy it regardless of its flaws. But for the rest of us aside from a few graphic improvments and some cool licenceing concepts you might as well just blow the dust off your old copy of doom, and re install it ...

Summary: Could be good.....
Review: This is probly a great game and looks very good. I had been looking at this game for a while before I finaly decided to buy it. I was very excited as I got ready to play....after waiting about an hour for it too install and than another half an hour for it to start up I started the predator mission. It took FOREVER for it too load before I got too play.
The grpahics are wonderfull and everything looks really cool however after about two minutes of gameplay the frame rate dropped and it became a digital nightmare. I tried it several times before giving up and returning it to the store(I attempted to start up the alien and terran missions which I never even got going).
This game is probly very good and a great FPS(the little I have played of it is great) but make sure you have good enough techonlogy and grpahics cards etc. So if your computer is strong enough get this game but if not than try somethign else.
