Summary: The racing game of all racing games
Review: Title says it all, I have been on racing for 2 months now and still want to play as much as possible, very addicting. You build cars, race them on Circuit Tracks, Street Tracks or Drag Strips against others online. You can join car clubs, and chat with others about car setup's or track tactics. The game has a great online community with a good money system, the more you race the more money you make, the more money you make the better cars/parts you purchase... I recommend this game to all ages, and if your a classic/muscle car buff, you'll think they designed it just for you.

Summary: Persistent Racing World Exists!
Review: MCO is nearing its one year mark and is just as fun as ever for me. New parts and cars have been added at a trickling over the summer, but the summer also saw the introduction of user submitted paint jobs where the top jobs for selected batches of car types get added to the game as part of the updates. Rumblings are that this fall will see an explosion of new cars, as well as a new track that is a wild hairy ride through the industrial side of town. If you're looking for a game to conquer and move on, this ain't it. But if you want something that will be there night after night, give it a try. If you do buy it, I highly suggest Big Ben's School of Hard Knocks (hosted on Stratics.com) as a primer, followed up MCOSafehouse.com and maybe even a visit to crued.com to get some setups to start tinkering with. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Summary: Amazing
Review: I have been a HUGE Need For Speed fan ever since the original came out. I played the game for hours and became very good. Then MotorCity came out a long time later, and now I feel the same joy as I did the first time I played the original Need For Speed. Whether your into modern fast cars, or muscle cars, hell even if you HATE racing games, you will find this game fun.

Theres something for everybody, but you will have to do some racing of course. I will go over some of the key features and explain them.

Clubs - You can create a club and invite members, once you have a fair ammount of members you can start haveing turf wars!

Auctions - Auction off cars or parts!

Various Car Lots - If I recall correctly there are 4 car lots.

Very active - There are ALWAYS enuff people online to have a good race, trust me I have played all day and nite before :)

Cuztomization - You can customize almost every part on your car, from the fuzzy dice in the window too the nitrous injector under the hood!

RPG Elements - Great leveling system, every 5 levels you advance in rank which increases your weekly salary.

Cheating? - Worryed about cheating? Well, don't. EA Logs every race and gives it a unique ID, so if people cheat it WILL NOT go on for long.

Those are just some of the key elements, now I will go over the gameplay.

Sound - For the first 2 weeks the radio is great, lots of stations and songs, but they will get old, however the speech is updated at least every three days.
Electronic Arts claims they update the music but I have not noticed yet.

Graphics - Simply put, there not amazing. They are good enuff for massive multiplayer game though.

Controls - You can use lots of different controls, keyboard, mouse, joysticks, and best of all, racing wheels. If your not using a racing wheel, your missing out, this game is definetly intended for a wheel.

Gameplay - Fantastic. There is always something new, that you have not yet experienced, whether it be winning a time trials competition, or becoming a new top dog!

Overall - Great game.
You may not want to buy this game because of the monthly fee, but let me assure you, this game is worth EVERY PENNY!

Summary: Roll up the sidewalks the party is over.
Review: When MCO first launched it was a wonderful game. It was fast paced and very challenging. Being able to tune a car was every bit as important as driving skills and purchasing dream rides from the auctions was almost as much fun as mastering the many tracks. However, it did not take long for the hackers and scammers to seperate the online community into the elite, rich players who always won races from the honest players who played just for fun. The economic system eventually evolved so that only high level players with inside scam information could afford the fastest cars and this allowed them to set the fastest times, receive all the bonus money, and win all the races. EA made a few feeble attempts to fix the many loopholes with patches but by the time they were aware of a problem the damage had been done and the hackers were on to bigger and better scams. EA is finally pulling the plug and abandoning Motor City August 29, 2003. Since this game is a ONLINE ONLY offering with no offline play at all, giving your money to EA for the CD is pointless.

It was a great concept with lots of potential, but greed both inside the game and out (EA tends to put the bottom line of profit above all else when it comes to online games... remember Air Warrior?) turned Motor City into a ghost town in just over a year.

Summary: Best Racing Game I've EVER Had!
Review: This is the greatest racing game. I don't know how I could go back to a game offline, now that I race and chat with real people every day.

There is a monthly fee ..., but IT'S WORTH IT!

It works great with my HP Pavilion 1.6GHz Windows XP. I didn't have much trouble installing it. It was a little confusing at first, but that's because I am new to the Windows OS. I've had a Mac for years.

I'm sure that anyone who is familiar with the Windows system, will have no trouble installing the software.

Anyhow, BUY THIS GAME & I'll see you on the Track!
