Summary: Fun, fun, fun
Review: Even though I'm a big racing sim fan who's into real-world physics and whatnots, I've logged my hours with Midtown Madness and Midtown Madness 2 than with any other racing games. Sure, NASCAR 4 has much better driving physics; the latest Need for Speed has better graphics; but nothing comes close to being as fun as the Midtown Madness games.

This second installment of the series (O how I eagerly await the third one) takes the gamer to two lovely cities, San Francisco and London. I had just returned for a trip to London when I played this game last year, and was more than thrilled to be cruising and racing down the same streets I had set my foot on not so long before. While not 100% accurate, the representations of the cities are remarkable and very fun to explore.

The driving, as has been pointed out many times by others, is rather arcade-like, which means two things: 1) it's easier than driving in the real world, and 2) it's more exciting than serious racing sims. You can ram the other cars on the road as well as scare pedestrians (but not, as in Armageddon, kill them). The cars, modeled after real-life roadsters, come in all shapes and powers, but are responsive and drivable even on a keyboard. (I use driving wheels, which is a bit of an overkill for an arcade game like this, but does make you feel more in control.)

In summary, Midtown Madness 2 is by far the most playable racing game I've ever played. It beats out Armageddon, Grand Theft Auto, Need for Speed, not so much in graphics but in the limitless ways you can have fun.

Summary: Great Game, Pure Fun
Review: I own both Midtown Madness 1&2. I had Great fun with the origonal even though it had its problems. Bad physics, not the best graphics, ect. What I really love about that game though, is that you can just cruise around the city after the heat of racing. Midtown madness 2 has that feature and more. Most of these bugs are gone in MM2 also. And now there are 2 cities, San Francisco AND London, instead of just 1! The cities are true to what they look like in real life, too! It has many different modes of play. This is what they are:
CRUISE: Simply cruise around the cities care free, doing absolutley whatever you want, and you can learn the roads. GREAT FUN!
BLITZ RACE: Race along the roads finding your own way. Get through all the checkpoints in order and in time to win the race. You can unlock new vehicles by winning many of the races.
CURCIUT RACE: Race opponents in set courses throughout San Francisco and London. You can unlock new cars here, too.
CHECKPOINT RACE: Get through all the checkpoints in no particular order and get to the finish before the others. You can get new cars here, too.
There is one new mode, crash course, in which you must go through a series of tests, where you must practice an individual skill, and be good at it to pass! There is one big test after every 3 little tests combining all the skills you just learned, and you get a new paint job for a car after each Big test. And you get a new car at the end, too!
This is a very good game. These are the general PROS and CONS
PROS:
1 Good sound track
2 Two new areas San Francisco & London
3 Five different game modes, including a new one, Crash
Course
4 Lots of Cars
5 lots of Tracks
6 Awesome Cruise feature, just drive around!
7 areas true to how they are in real life
8 good graphics
CONS:Can be a little glitchy, but thats about it
THIS IS ONE GREAT GAME!!!!!!!

Summary: A Car Lover's Article
Review: Midtown Madness 2,a good driving game for people who love cars. This game is not for people who have never played a racing game before. Its missions are quite difficult.Mostly for the preteens. It features awesome graphics. This game features 20 different vehicles including the Ford Mustang Fastback,Audi TT,Mini Couper, double Decker Bus,and much more. The missions on this game are full of stunts, flips, chases, explosions, and all kinds of action. In which you are able to chose from being a Stunt Driver or a Cab Driver. The stunt driver missions take place in San Francisco where you'll have to do quite a bit of law breaking. The cab driver missions take place in London, not exactly your normal cab ride you would want to take.....I would recommend people being 9 and older to play this game.Enjoy, and don't get busted!

Summary: Anytime, Any Place, It rocks!
Review: Midtown Madness 2 is possibly the best game I have ever played in my life! I could tell it was going to be the best game ever by the main menu! You can do a blitz, Checkpoint race, multiplayer, crise, and hers the new one, Driving School. In the Driving School you can do San Fransisco Stunt Driving, and London Cab Driver School. Suppose you select cruise, another menu follows that and you select a city, London, Or San Fransisco. Now I bet all of you are saying, "Ow man, there's only 2 tracks??" But what you dont realize is that these "two tracks" are fully modeled and detailed full size cities. Aftre you get past the location menu you can select 1 of 25 cars including the Audi TT, Mini Cooper, Aston Martin DB7 Vantage, London Cab, Freightliner Fire Truck, even a double decker bus, Hummer, Beetle RSI, Beetle Dune, plus all of the cars from the original Midtown Madness. In the outcome, I would give this game 10 stars (If I could!) Please buy this game. You will be pleasently suprised!

Summary: Funnest Game Out There!!!
Review: Midtown Madness 2 is an awesome game with brilliant graphics. It's really realistic especially if you have the microsoft force feedback steering wheel. This game has two cities, San Francisco and London. For one mode you can just cruise around for fun, hitting cars and making cops fall in the ocean. In other modes, you can earn cars such as the Audi TT, Aston Martin, Panoz, Beetle RSi. Then after you earn all the cars you can earn different colors for those cars. It is the funnest car game I have played in my life. Much more inprovement than the first one. If you're for a fun car game, get midtown madness 2 cause you'll never stop playing!

Summary: This game is a bit worse..
Review: When first playing the well-known Midtown Madness, when the first driving/racing amusement game came about, I could drive in their city, Chicago, all the time, non stop, without many qualms.

I expected something way better in Midtown Madness 2. I don't know. I guess it was the sameness of the levels and options; it wasn't even, what should have been, a sequel.

The graphics, sound, and gameplay were the same. Nothing on this game to dwell much on, except for the levels--two new medium sized levels, San Francisco and London. But let me reassure you, the sound NEEDS to improve. Totally generic sounds, which aren't very realistic in city-life atmosphere, need to improve dramatically.

What really plummets Midtown Madness 2 is the lack of interest and captivation. Like I said, everything is the same.. Roads have the same textures, or the same ol' knock down the traffic light, get the limited amount--three cops to chase you, in which they aren't different, sadly.

Plus, speed isn't accurate. What I mean by that is is that you could be driving 90 m.p.h. and feel like you're really going 45 m.p.h. Having the lack of feeling the rush or intensifying speed really puts this game into a downfall.

Same textures, although a bit worse looking, same ideas, almost same everything, except for two new levels, which is something to be quite moody about. Other than that, if you're looking for fun in this game, it'll be there, but for a limited time only.

Summary: A perfect game
Review: You ever dreamed driving those fancy cars you see in the streets all the time? - then this game is more than perfect and not that it will meet your expectations but it will exceed them.
You'll be surprised.
In Midtown Madness II you'll get to drive in the streets
of London and San Francisco. Cars such as : Beetle,Audi and lots more. If you are a computer literate you can download extra cars from the Internet.

I bought Midtown Madness games for my relative for his birthday, soon after I've winded up buying them for myself again and
I am heaps older than my teenage relative. :)

Midtown Madness games are the best from Microsoft. Computers seem to like them and they never cause any trouble.
I have never had a single problem with these games.

Summary: Great fun!
Review: We bought this for our 7 year old son for Christmas last year and he loved it! In fact, it's so much fun that my husband and I have played it and really had some good laughs and a good time. Definitely a must if you're looking for a good racing game.

Summary: One of my favorite games!
Review: This game is so much fun. It is not only fun, but sometimes very funny. Pedestrians jumping out of your way, other drivers shouting things like "Where did you learn how to drive?!" when you ram them. It has 5 single player games, Cruise, Blitz, Checkpoint, and Circuit and a new mode called Crash Course. In Multiplayer games there is no Crash Course, but there is Cops and Robbers. There are 60 races in all. 2 Cities: San Francisco and London. Let me tell you something, in August, I went to San Francisco, and it is not street for street, but almost the same and in this game it is VERY detailed. If you beat all the races, it is still fun playing cruise, or trying new things. Play it online and you can make friends, play Cops and Robbers, and have fun too. It has 20 cars, such as: City Bus, Audi TT, Ford Mustang GT, Cop car, Panoz GTR-1, LTV, and Ford F-350 to name a few. If you get sick of something, this game has many 3rd party cars, cities, mods, and other stuff you can download. Graphics don't look real on my computer but my computer is a laptop but better the PC, better the graphics and sound. However the cars are detailed very nicely. I heard a real Mustang GT and it sounded like in the game. There are many cars and paint jobs to unlock so this is a lot of fun. If this helped you, then say so below.
