Rating: Summary: More of the same, plus some bonuses. Review: Since the only other review here is a "I haven't played this, but..." review, I figured I'd stick my two cents in here. First off, if you haven't realized it yet, this is an expansion pack and you'll need to have Battlefield: 1942 to play this expansion. If you already have that, you should have some idea of what you think of the game. This expansion is a little more of the same, plus a couple bonuses. There are six new maps included in the expansion, all enjoyable to play. There are a lot more maps like the original's Omaha Beach map; maps where one team has a very tough battle, but the pay off if they win is great. There are also quite a few maps which are completely balanced, in which neither team has an advantage when starting off. There are a couple new light tanks and some twin engine planes which are just way to powerful (they can drop more bombs/minute than the B-17 and fly much better/easier). If you enjoy BF:1942 and think you'll play more than 10 more hours of the game, this expansion is worth your cash in my opinion.
Rating: Summary: This is the most fun I've had wasting time in years! Review: After playing an accumulated 100 or so hours of this (and that's an understatement) I think I can honestly say this is the best multiplayer game of all time. There aren't many cheats for jerks to use, so the gameplay isn't spoiled like you may find playing half-life or Medal of Honor. Plus with the new patch (v.1.3) that is now out they have an "auto-punish" system which keeps team killers out of the game. I know some people complain about the system requirements, but for those of us priviledged enough to have an awesome computer...the graphics certainly give EA bragging rights. To wrap up this review I will summerize the game's key points. A. BUY THIS GAME B. BUY THIS GAME C. READ A AND B AGAIN D. IF you want good grades in school, dont buy this game for your mind will be engrossed for hours on end.
Rating: Summary: Half an expansion Review: This expansion adds a few new vehicles (which play like the old ones) and French/Italian troops (which play like the old ones). I've played through the new maps and they look and play a lot like the original ones. In my opinion a good expansion is one that I can't stand to play the game without. With Road to Rome, I really couldn't care less. I enjoy many of the original maps better.

Rating: Summary: Mixed Feelings... Review: Ok, don't get me wrong, I played this game at a friend's house and it is the single best army game now, and probably ever will be. However, the requirements are bigger than the Earth itself. My computer meets all the requirements except one... It requires a GeForce Video Card to play! So basically, I spent $ to get a horribly glitchy screen. My computer runs perfectly on high video settings for Star Wars: Jedi Outcast, but doesn't stand a chance even on low in Battlefield 1942. Before buying this game, make sure you have a GeForce Video Card, if not, get one, because this is a game you do not want to miss out on. I know I need to get myself one soon.
Rating: Summary: The best of the best Review: It simply doesn't get any better than this. Graphics are superb, sound is superb, and the content variety alone is enough to make you drool. Pilot a WW2 bomber, blast away with machine turrets, crush your opponents with a tank, launch an assault on a battleship, get somewhere quickly and easily with a jeep, and take any of the classic FPS roles. Well worth the money. And don't forget the expansion!
Rating: Summary: Best Multiplayer experience ever Review: I got this game for my birthday, and I have played it online literally EVERY SINGLE DAY since then. The weapons system is great, the vehicle operations are seamless, and the general feel of the game is amazing. I love talking on the phone with my friend while shooting him in the back point black with an anti-tank rocket. If you like online gaming, first person shooters, or World War II, you NEED THIS GAME!
Rating: Summary: what were they thinking??????? Review: what kinds of computers did they test this on? i have a decent computer and it completely doesn't work--i ended up playing at my friends house. everyone should go buy Medal Of Honor instead--it's much better anyway
Rating: Summary: Fantastic Game, Crazy requirements Review: This game is such a rush, I can't believe there are other things in my life that I have to do other than play this game. Gameplay reminds me a lot of Return to Castle Wolfenstien, the online version. Add various weapons at your command, including vehicles, aircraft, troops at your command that can actually fight, and an assortment of small arms and you have got the years best gaming experience. However, Electronic Arts really did a horrible job at making this a great game for many of the systems out there. How could they be so far off on the requirements for this game. I was running a 1.5 Ghz P4, 512 RRDAM, 64mb Nivida graphics accelerator card, which provided me with one of the worse performing games that I have every purchased. I upgraded the video card to an 128mb ATI Radeon 9500 Pro, and I can still not play the game at its highest settings. The system seems to keep up fine at the medium setting, but I don't see how a game with a minimum requirement of 500 Mhz, recommended requirement of 800 Mhz, can run so [badly] on my 1.5 Ghz. Have tried all the patches and updates, still doesn't seem to solve anything. Makes you wonder how they will make the game for the XBox that barely has the recommended requirements. Although, I was torqued about this I still love the game, just make sure that you have a fantastic system.
Rating: Summary: great game but make sure your SOUND drivers are uptodate Review: This is the best shooter around but if you don't update your sound card drivers the game can be very slow.
