Summary: Great gameplay but could have more.
Review: This is a great game and you will want this is if you own the game or plan on geting it. The new grappix are stunning with vary little lag. Most 56kers will love this game considering it dont take much to run it. The game is loaded with a ton of game play.

The down side to this game is, it could have more in. On day one on alot of peoples heads was they wanted horses in the game that they could buy was never added, they was spose to add housing before the expansion came out. Now they are not even talking about housing comming out any time soon. The expansion was spose to offer player housing but was also not added.

So they left out alot of things people wanted and instead just added grappixs and new zones. But if you like the game as it is any ways you will like the expansion even tho they could have put more work in to it.

Summary: Played these before? This one is different
Review: The only thing I can add to the other really great comments about this game is this....
If you have played other online games and been frustrated, this game is different. The first thing that you will notice, no running back for your corpse! If you choose to, you can go back and pray at your tombstone to get back a bit of experience point, but it is not required. There are no item lossed, when you die, you retain all items and money you had when you died, cool, I hated 'corpse runs' for my gear.
Some have said that solo playing is hard, well, I solo play and it is not hard, just takes a bit longer.
The tradeskills in this game are among the best I have seen. You can take up skills such as tailoring, armourcrafting, weaponsmithing, alchemy, and more. The best part to the tradeskills is this,... there is actually demand for your products, no sitting in one spot for hours 'calling out' that you have wares for sale with no sales made.

Summary: This game is great, but tedious
Review: I really reccomend this game for hardcore gamers. It takes an extremely long time to gain levels past 20. I have been playing this game for over 1 year and have only hit 50 with 1 character. The concept of this game is great. By far the best i have ever played. The graphics are awesome and RvR is the best idea i have seen. But, with all games there are drawbacks. I just recently hit 50 with one of my characters. Which took me a year of playing. Around 3-4 hours daily. There are also class balance issues as well. If you buy this game. I suggest becoming an assasin. They are hard to level but they are Gods in RvR. Albion is the infiltrator, midgard is the shadowblade and hibernia is the nightshade. Being any other then one of those you are dead meat.

Summary: great game - often frustrating
Review: The great thing about this MMORPG (massive multiplayer online roleplaying game) is the fact that you have the option to level/XP in relative safety of your own realm, and then when you feel like it zoom off to the PVP areas where you can kill and be killed by other PC's to your hearts content.
There are on average 4 races and 12 different classes in each of 3 different realms that are at war with each other. Each realm has 2 relic Keeps (housing relics) and 7 frontier forts (used to defend the frontier), enemy realms can take your forts, invade your frontier (not your homeland) and make attempts to steal your relics (which they then take back to their own relic keeps, and gain bonuses to magic or melee - depending on the relic).
Each realm is very different visually, and class/race wise. Thats the beauty of this game, its almost like 3 games in one in that you can play a different realm on a different server (Midgard on one, Hibernia on another and Albion on another).
The drawbacks of the game are the graphical engine, people mention epic battles. But you cant enjoy an epic battle, a keep taking, or a relic stealing without your FRAMES PER SECOND going down into the single digits - often down to less than 2. This is to be rectified in the upcoming expansion - SHROUDED ISLES - which appears on the shelves . . .. The expansion will contain an updated version of the engine which will allow you to make full use of the power of your graphics card.
Its a very fun game, but be warned, the whole game is geared towards playing with 7 other people in a group, which enables you to xp very efficiently (choosing the right classes to be in that group is evn mor eimportant) - you CAN solo xp, but be advised that for the majority of classes, this is a much slower task than grouping with other people (some classes can actually xp faster solo in earlier levels than they can in groups).
Another drawback of this game is that once you hit the max level (level 50) the only things you have left to do is RVR (fighting other realms) and searching for items to better your character, that and roll another character (being as there are 36 total across the realms - you wont exactly get bored).

Summary: Simply Amazing!
Review: Dude, You'll never find a more fun game in your life. It has amazing graphics and is amazingly fun to play! I Say you should, no matter what buy this game!!!!

Summary: Great Game!!
Review: For everyone who is into RPG games, this is a great game for you. You naturally have the choice of different servers which are usually packed with 1000 people or more in each one, once you choose your server you have the choice of your realm Hibernia which are full of mistical elves and normal celtic humans, Albion(my favorite) the realm of knights and wizards, and Midgard home of the powerful Vikings, game play is sweet, people are nice and helpful, almost unlimited ways of customizing your character. Graphics are great, and the details of castles and keeps are amazing, downsides, it take some time to lvl up your character but nowhere near the time it takes in Everquest, slight warining though, ITS VERY ADDICTIVE! so be careful. In conclusion i would recommend this game to anybody, and if your like me who loves medieval history and folke loar, this game puts you right in a medieval mythical world full of quests and adventure. GREATEST RPG EVER!

Summary: An astoundingly good game!
Review: Don't listen to the naysayers. I've played Everquest, Asheron's call, and beta tested many more. This is, by far, the BEST game of it's kind available!
I'm not saying it's perfect, far from it. There are issues. But let's face it, it's been out only a year now. It's much better than any other fantasy game on the market, bar none!
You will not be dissapointed if you purchase this game. It comes with one month free subscription so you can give it a whirl without giving up your credit card right away (but I took a 6 month subscription right away and will renew!)
Thier customer service is top notch! I've never had a request go unanswered and I've been thanked quite a few times for reporting bugs.
For a first time online gamer this is perfect. It's also good for long time players as the RvR areas will test your nerve and your tactical skills.
Play and enjoy!

Summary: One of the BEST games of it's kind!
Review: Don't let others discourage you! This is one of the best games of it's kind! No other game can match it's playability and variety. If you like PvE or PvP or RvR there is something for everyone here. And believe me no one can beat Mythic for thier customer service! (It's virtually non existant at the "other game")
Play, live the adventure and enjoy as I do!

Summary: An excellent game..
Review: This is a MMORPG, much like Everquest, but, in my opnion, better.

The graphics are to admired, the classes are diverse and entertaining.

In Dark Age of Camelot you can actually be a casual gamer and see progress, you can be a powergamer and see a lot of Realm Vs Realm fighting.

Realm Vs Realm (RvR) is basically Player Vs Player, but it is not forced, it never has to be done, but is always an option.

Trade Skills mean something. Corpse runs are no more, unless you wish to pray at your grave for the bit of experience it will retrun to you.

Overall, I enjoy this game, more than Everquest.

I'd highly recommend it.
