Summary: Just plain awesomeness...
Review: I originally tried EQ...and it is SO much harder to learn, and the people there are much less friendly. In DAoC, the people are much more friendly and willing to help (players and support), easier learning curve, but doesn't diminish the game at all! Buy it!

Summary: Excellent game!
Review: I'm not much of a gamer. Sure, I played DOOM, DOOM II, Quake, Quake II, Quake III and Half Life some, but got tired of them all really quick. I have even played UO, and found the graphics and effects lacking, reguardless of the rest of it. If the interface isn't attractive to me, I won't play it very long.

I think this is an awesome game for hundreds of hours of play. It's fairly easy to play, be sure and read the docs. Also, the people online are so friendly and helpful. The guild system is awesome. Most guilds will help you out with levels, quests and other things you might need. You can not only be a fighter, mage, combo, etc.. but a crafter as well, be it alchemy, armor, weapons, or whatever. Money and drops are getting better with each new patch they introduce. You like PvP or RvR? It's got both, as well as PvE. It's becoming a well rounded game which, like most, has it's good and bad points.

Summary: Excellent Fun for the Casual Gamer
Review: If you don't have 40 hours a week to spend in front of your computer playing games, Dark Age of Camelot is for you. It is unlike Everquest, which is a wonderful game but has a steep learning curve and does not let you accomplish much if you only have a short time to be online. Dark Age allows casual players to still accomplish a lot with their characters even if they have little time to play. It also is a rich world with wonderful historical and mythological roots.

Summary: Great game!! A little addicting
Review: It's a great game, and Shrouded Isles only add's so much more to the experience. With more than 1500 players per 17 servers, there is always someone to ask help for, or someone to group with. The game does have some downsides, like lag (if your on an older system). Majority the game is great, replay value is way up there. The only thing I can think of that is bad about it other than lag on older systems is that it is EXTREMELY ADDICTING! Lol, anyways it's a great buy.

I will be awaiting you all, on hibernia Merlin or hibernia Bors servers.

Summary: Last year's model, buy Platinum instead of adding expansions
Review: Love the game, blow endless hours playing it becuase it is just that good, only flaw in gold is that for an extra $10 you can get the Platinum edition which has all the expansions bundled into it.

Summary: No thanks
Review: Not a fun game at all. I have 4 level 50 maxed out toons. I have played this game for about 1 year. It is all now being hacked out by cheaters. Therefore I would pass on this game. Enemy players now have the ablity to heal themselves as much as they want. Really makes it sad, a once fun game to play , turns out to be a hack. Oh and if you do get the game and have any issues, have fun! Customer service lacks big time!!!!! I came up missing a really nice staff, 6 days later they got back to me , only to say, sorry we cant do anything. Also if somone on this amazon review says its a great game, maybe thats because they have a few to sell ya!!!! They dont want ya to know the real deal!!!

Summary: this game was great until toa was released
Review: now it's just a bad eq clone riddled with timesinks 9hr mob spawns fighting for camps etc..

pvp used to be really good. you had a feeling that if you won/lost a fight, it was because you outplayed or were outplayed. now winning losing is just a function of whoever subjected themselves to the largest number of timesinks.

Summary: This one surpasses anything else currently on the Market.
Review: The number of char slots have been expanded to 8 for many months now, allowing you to experience all the differing types of gameplay EACH realm provides.

Mythic's dedication to upgrading and addressing PLAYER concerns are BY FAR the most responsive and fair by any other company I've yet had the pleasure of handing my money to.

Two years, 6 level 50s, with a slew of 40+ chars on several servers, I can say that I could easily spend 2 years in each realm.

I find the lack of hacks and third party programs to be SURPRISINGLY small. There is an appeal process that does work.

Eye candy. Wow. Something to be experienced to really appreciate.

RvR. This is Realm versus Realm combat. No other game really makes this aspect of interplayer battles make sense in the overall game. A player gets to decide WHEN he/she wants to engage in a fight, with the benefit of other for the greater glory of the realm.

Now the latest FREE expansion soon to come out, Frontiers, is going to open up and step up the dynamics of RvR.

If you ant to buy ONE game that is gonna make you sit up and beg, stay up late, read up on off hours and BE TOTALLY ZONED IN every minute you think of the game, in other words addicted.. this... IS... it.

Summary: Dark Ages of Camelot
Review: This game is horrid, if you want a real MMORPG, you'd play everquest, mearly all I have to say. 1 star hands down.

Summary: Shake them haters off
Review: this game is kickin. the 1 & 2 stars are bogus. and the dude who said he had 4 max lvl 50's in a year, i highly doubt it.
