Rating: Summary: Great the first time... Dont play online... Review: It was good the first time through, but after that, it was all about "MFing" (magic item hunting) and endless boss/cow runs to improve your pointless charactor.i have tryed all the classes (around lvl 80 for each+variations) and it just drones on, and on.. and ON! dont buy it if you want to maintain sanity, and tanned skin. buy it if you like doing things over and over again. (BTW, it isnt anything like diablo1-- that game required skill, not patiance)
Rating: Summary: Works great - even on Linux! Review: I played the demo and have bought the full version. They both work GREAT on Linux (using WineX). No lag, no nothing. Highly recommended.
Rating: Summary: Great Stuff Review: This is a very very good game it has a realistic form of killing I know the demons and things like that are not real butttttt the whole idea that what if that could happen or is happening what would one have to go threw to stop the pain... This game is the common hero wins always buttttt it also has the hero can die part to it... I remember in the few hours that it took for me to beat it that I was clenching my teeth from time to time hopeing that I will survive... Well after i beat it i figured what the hey lets have fun with the data it took to make the game... so i changed a few lines in the game to make it where i am invincible and i have any and all the weapons and unlimited space to place my items that is when it got really really fun... it wasn't the easiest game to make that way buttttt i did it just to say i could... any ways the game is a must get don't play any other role playing game with out trying this one.....
Rating: Summary: Oh please... Review: Come on! Diablo isn't much. It's just kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, rescue guy or girl who tells you to kill more, than kill again. And they call this an RPG? Folks, RPGs are supposed to have an intresting plot and variety. This is just killing demons for several hours. Sorry, but it gets an F from me.
Rating: Summary: Hateful Loving, Loving Hatred Review: Expect to get addicted to this game -- that much of the hype is true. Then expect to spend hours playing until you either hate yourself, or someone else hates you. It's fun all right, but it seems so -- visceral and pointless after a while. And don't let the M rating fool you, as there is definitely nudity in the game. Sure it's on a non-human, but it's still there. I'll leave the rest to you.
Rating: Summary: The best ... computer game ever!!!!! Review: I played it once at a friends house and I got hooked! I started out a palidin but, got fond of the necromancer, who has the power to raise the dead and mind control. I'm going to buy my own soon....
Rating: Summary: what a waste of 35 dollars Review: wow. i bought this game hoping that blizzard had stopped going half way on their games( which is clearly evident in games like, starcraft, warcraft, diablo)well i bought this game, and it was stupid. this is what i affectionately call a "clicker" game. you know, i left click on you,i hit you, i right clic on you, i do a magic thing. boring. they try to make it interesting with the whole unique character thing, but the fact that it'll always be the same thing, every time you play it, doesn't really give you much re-play value. also a killer is the mandatory quests, you must complete every quest in order to move on in the already dull plot. if you really want a real RPG, buy Baldur's Gate, it's cheaper, and you get to completely make your character, and there's a totally non-linear plot. do waht you want, or don't, but be prepared to suffer the consequences. Baldur's Gate puts YOU the gamer in control, while diablo 2, you are just kinda along for the ride. diablo 2 is deffinitely a game for those simple-minded gamers, who don't really like the whole variable plot thing, the ones that don't like having a choice where to go or what to do when they want to, the ones who just want to click their way to victory. this game gets one star, which is many , many more than it deserves
Rating: Summary: Must Have Review: For you who have playrd the first Diablo you need to try this one, it goes much futher then the first one. Loved it.
Rating: Summary: Boring click fest Review: First of all, this game is NOT an RPG. It's just a simple point and click adventure game. The only RPG thing about this game is you can level up your character and chose from 5 stats to level up. If you want a real RPG, buy fallout. The Fallout series has over 10 stats to chose from, is much more fun, and it is a REAL RPG. This game isn't much fun online, either. And the same quests over and over and over in the single player game doesn't do much for the game, either. The monsters are all the same with just new colours. Plus the save system stinks, you have to exit the whole game to save, whoever made that funtion needs to be beat. Blizzard is going down the tube. Buy Fallout, it's 50 times better.
Rating: Summary: defective graphics, shoddy customer service Review: I haven't yet actually been able to play Diablo II. The installation went fine, and the opening movie held so much promise...but the screen that appeared immediately after was so garbled I couldn't make out what it was supposed to be. I contacted Blizzard's tech support, fully described the problem and provided them with the system information they requested on their convenient on-line form, and waited for the answer they promised would be delivered shortly. And waited. And waited. I wrote to them again, citing their own website's claim of their commitment to quality products and the satisfaction of gamers in an attempt to goad them into demonstrating that those claims weren't a hollow marketing ploy. I've been waiting for a reply for a month. If what they truly intended to demonstrate was their contempt for their customers, they've done an admirable job of it.
