Summary: Best Strategy Game Going Right Now!
Review: This is the best strategy game available at present. It is better than Comand and Conquer, Red Alert, Starcraft, Warcraft, or Age of Empires. And you can play it on on-line like these other great games.

Things I liked:

Multi-unit production: Click 15 times on a unit production icon and go do something else while they are produced. Set rally points for the troops or unit to go to when produced. Pick a rally point in a forest for workers and they will start cutting wood.

My favorite scenarios are multi-player sea battles. The ships are powerful and useful. Defenses like fences and stone walls can protect your island leaving you more latitude for marauding against your opponents. Fireships increase difficulty. Wow, it is awesome.

When playing against the computer I find the sea battle gives you breathing room to build your forces. Otherwise you are likely to get overrun before you get started.

One fun thing to do is play teams against the computer. This is useful if you have a friend that is not up to speed and not a worthy opponent. My brother and I play against 3 or more computer opponents. So one could drop out for a while to answer the phone while the game keeps rolling.

I like to save interesting games and replay challenging situations or games with unusual maps.

Try putting a bunch of units in a fortress for protection from ships and then surprise your opponents when they land thinking you are out of land units. Guess what--they heal in there too!

I found that setting the game for high resources, and a population of 200 would sometimes bog down the network, so I upgraded my network hub and network cards to 100BaseT and now I can get some really huge multi-player games going.

This is the best game I've ever play with 4 or more players.

The game is great. Have fun.

Summary: Five Solid Stars to This One Folks!
Review: This game is amazing! It is worth any money you pay for it. I give it a five star rating.

Gameplay is complicated though and you may be scared by it at first, (beacause it's so complicated) but after a while you get used to it.

Even though it is rated TEEN for blood and violence I believe that the game was overated. There is only a little blood and the violence is very mild.

Playing it I noticed a large flaw. You cannot put your ships in position. This may seem like a small flaw but it makes it hard for you to protect demo ships and/or transport ships.

Overall this game is wonderful. Get it now before it's to late!

Summary: One of, if not the best RTS games ever!
Review: I have seen this series progres since AoE I and it has only gotten better. The Learn To Play campaian is great for those new to RTS or the AoE seies. The other campains are great and each one's story is well told. The regicide and deathmatch modes are a great change of pace to the Random Map games. Also, beacuse it's always either the first or second most popular game at the MSN Gaming Zone, you'll never run out of people to beat. The only little problem is that when you tell a villiger to build a mining/lumber camp, they just stand there instead of gathering, but that is fixed in the The Conquerers expansion.

Summary: This is a wonderful Game
Review: This game is great. It is heaps better than the first one. For everyone who doesn't know what this game is about: Starting from the Dark Age, you control a tribe which will eventually, with your help, turn into a wonderous empire. There are more buildings and units, plus in Map Editor there are heroes like Robin Hood so you can make up your own historical campaigns. There are William Wallace, Joan of Arc, Saladin, Genghis Kahn and Barbarossa campaigns. The only thing that I was dissapointed about was that you can't build roads and when you've got 1000+ units in your game it runs very slow. Apart from that it is great. I can't wait for the exspansion.

Summary: THIS GAME GOT ME HOOKED!!
Review: This is by far the best game that I have ever played, on computer, or on nintendo/playstation. I parents bought me this game during christmas, and now it's july 26!!! This is the only game that has kept me interested for over 2 months!!! I wont talk about the details of this game, cuz you people wanting to but it wont know what i'm talking about. Well, anyways, this is a real time strategy game. Kinda of like warcraft or command and conquer, except the graphics are better, you get more control of the game, and it's really detailed. i recommend this game to everyone of all ages.

Summary: This Game Is Definitely A Keeper...
Review: At least for those who like Strategy War Games.

Age of Kings does a better job than the original Age of Empires at landscapes, buildings, characters, and more. The battles seem to flow better, and the time does as well.

The game does seem to drag at times, especially when you start getting used to the beginning "province" kind of stuff, but that's something you can say about most other strategy games.

I suggest it for those who think they can beat it (I haven't yet)

Summary: A good game with good graphics
Review: Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings is a very good stratagy game. Each of the 13 civilizations is actualy historicaly accurate. And each is structured around one or more kinds of stratagy. The Britons, are structured mostly around archers. The Celts, siege warfare. All have strengths and weaknesses, if it be weak knights, or strong ships. Garrisoning, more workers building a structure(so it goes a lot faster), guarding, following, and different formations make this game supperior in many ways. There's just so many variables that can bring your civilization into the flames of glory, or the ashes of defeat. StarCraft, I'm sorry to say, looses out some on this game.(Exept for that it's a really good game too.) AOE2's just one, really, darn good game.

Summary: OK campaigns, great Internet Play
Review: The campaigns are great for learning how to play, but they aren't all that exciting and they take forever to complete. This game's real strength lies in playing with others over the internet. Pitting your skills against others, building an army, resources, defeating the enemy (or being defeated) is an absolute blast.

Summary: overall stradegy bliss
Review: When first playing this game I wasn't making small towns like from a certain game. (Hint it begins with the word sim.) I created armys, empires, strong alliences and foes whom which I wreaked havoc upon. I spent hours on this game. It has so much depth and seems superior to most stradegy games. I confess I hate war and sacrafice so i stay neutral and never become allied or enimeis. Compared to other games the graphics seem awfully dated and used. The lighting effects are pretty shadowish. The idea of a command and conquer/Sim city idea whith too many features etc is very...creative . I hope you have alot of spare time if you get this.
