Review: This game would easily be the best MMORPG if you bought it with a friend. If you do that then you have an alliance you can depend on once one of you buy a world pass and go to the same server.

Review: Welll, i have reviewed this game before, and i had more to add. Quite honestly, this game is dull, drab, and boring... to people who have NO SENSES AT ALL. Holy, crap. Okay, so, there is a monthly fee.... so. The game, is very much so WORTH the monthly fee... and as to the gentlemen who said... that there is nobody online, WHAT are you talking about??? Jeeze here folks... it's very simple... this is a MMORPG, there are TONS of players on every server... this game is not easy it is on the hard side... however, if you take time to master and learn it, you can have an unlimited amount of fun.
Okay, stepping away from the bashin at others, it's time for my final review. I am now level a lvl 30mnk/15thf... and i love it. Once you hit level thirty, you can do quests for some advanced jobs folks. Very cool.
This game, is very much worth having around, it becomes almost a hobby.

Review: OK FIRST OF ALL I KNOW I HAVEN'T BEEN PLAYING FOR LONG BUT PEOPLE WRITE UNFAIR REVIEWS THERES THIS ONE DUDE WHO COMPLAINS THAT THE GRAPHICS SUCK (HE IS AN IDIOT) BECAUSE IF HE WERE SMARTER THAN HE IS HE WHOULD KNOW THAT THE GAME CAN BE ADJUSTED TO THE WAY YOU WANT(GO TO THE START MENU SEARH FOR LAYONLINE, THE FFIX,THE FFIX CONFIG). THEN THEY TALK ABOUT THE MONTHLY FEE AND BEING THE IDIOTS THEY ARE THEY SAY YOURE PAYING THE MONTHLY FEE TO PLAY THE GAME(WRONG)WHAT YOU ARE PAYING FOR IS THE SUBSCRIPTION TO PLAYONLINE SERVICES (MAIL, CUSTOMIZATION TOOLS, GM SURPPORT ETC...) AND THEN THEY TALK ABOUT YOU HAVE TO PARTY UP (WHO THE HELL SAYS SO) IF YOU DONT WISH TO PARTY UP THEN DONT) BECAUSE THEY ARE MANY OTHER THINGS TO DO. GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT.

Review: You know how the producers talk about being in a party the whole time and over 1 mil people are playing...LIES. when i played FFXI i only saw at least 3 Real people not counting the useless NPCs. THis Game is the worst game i have played since Oregon Trail 1. Get Star Wars Galaxies.

Review: To begin with this is not the 'final' fanatasy. Its about time they dropped that stupid name. This is a playstation game. If you own a playstation, and your a kid, you might like this game. If your a PC owner, do NOT buy this game! The cotrols are the WORST of any game Ive ever played! The game itself looks barren. It can't hold an unlit candle to Everquest. Its funny just how many Everquest copies there are and they have all failed in one way or another. Biggest problem is that it is a playstation game, meaning the graphics and controls are designed for that format. Oh yea the install and registraion process lasted 3 and a half hours! Im not joking here! I have a fast machine with a DSL line, 3 and a half hours!!! After you install it which takes around an hour, the ENTIRE game is then resent to you over the interenet. Then there is a very annoying thing you have to do. Basically you put in your name and address and codes twice, since there are a few companies running things for Square Enix. You WILL be playing the game with 7 year olds. Anyone whos played EQ knows that you stay away from the kiddies. The character graphics in this game seem to be designed to appeal to a 7 year old Japanese girl who likes Hello Kitty. Enough said,
Play Everquest, Galaxies or Anarchy Online. Those are the leading games for PC multiplayer. (...)

Review: Ok, if you've played Final Fantasy games before and you want to know what this one is like........
Load up any other Final Fantasy game. Call over 2 of your friends that also like FF games. Everyone picks a character to be "theirs." When a battle starts, you only get to control "your" character. When it's someone else's turn, give the controller to them.
"What if my friends can't come over and play?" you ask. Well then you can't play either.
"What if my friends are idiots and screw everything up?" you ask. Then everything is going to be screwed up.
"Even when everything is going well, this is only 1/3rd the fun of getting to play 3 characters." you say. Yes, you are correct.
And now you have figured it all out without paying $50(+whatever extras you might have bought). You're welcome.

Review: ok so i havnt played the game and i dont think its only 3 stars probly 5 star. 2 all u ppl who say the game rox i trust u. ive been playing final fantasy games since i got the 1st 1 4 nintindo (theyre bak 2gethr agin) since my ps2 was stolen ive been playing many mmorpgs (my fave so far was the 4th coming) and had noticed that it is VERY hard 2 lvl n ALL of them. my best friend has this game, he says its gooooooooood so i know that ill get it asap (n other words wen im at cc or bb) ff games aalways has good graphics 4 there time 1st ff didnt hav great graphics, but they were the best compaired 2 other games from that time n video game history. im sure squaresoft made this a great game, or all my friends wouldnt say its the best game theyve played. i wish i had a non summer job 2 pay 4 the monthly fee... i dought squaresoft could make a bad game if there lives depended on it. as 4 u noobs who cant lvl try try try ull eventually get it. lvling is no harder n this game than ne mmorpg so ur all noobs. im an expert. trust me. as 4 the higher lvl peeps, try helping a couple of those noobs who wrote those worthless reviews then they can set off on there own and if they STILL dont like it after playing 4 a long time then thats ok cus theyve gotten a chunk of the pie and they dont like the taste of it. but noobs... dont make a review unless u know wat ur saying. i no wat im saying cuz im an expert on mmorpgs and no that lvling is hard early on but if u truely like mmorpgs, ull look at it as more playing time like i do but i dont really care about lvling... just looking at monsters like there sacadas... Review: when i read some of the reviews i start to think the game is bad and i alredy ordered it but thru my own research i find that they probably have not played the game more than a few hours. And they complain too much about the monthly fee even i've never played a game where you play monthly but i understand that it cost a lot of money to keep the servers up and they also update the game monthly. then they refer to games like halo for pc and diablo and ageOE but that kind of game is totally diferent.they also say wheen they buy it the gamee doesnt work because of the graphics card they have but that is there own fault who buys a game without knowing what graphics card it uses they can easily go to the website www.playonline.com to find out if there computer meets the requirements all in all dont trust the OTHER reviews giving negative opinions on the game and just to make sure do some of your own research like i did to see if you like it and make sure youre pc can hold up all in all its a great game.

Summary: Best MMORPG out now (April 2004)
Review: This game is amazing, period. You don't have to be into Final Fantasy because the plots of the different games don't continue. This game is in no way connected to other Final Fantasy games except for very occasional in game appearances. Anyone can pick it up and play. The game is centered around partying for exp (after level 10) so there is a ton of interaction with others. The game is structured so that you are NEVER left with nothing to do, unlike some current online RPGs. If you have played, are playing, or haven't played an MMORPG before, this is a great game for beginner/advanced RPGers.

Summary: One of the few MMORPGs that I haven't enjoyed....
Review: If you prefer online games to have some soloable content, don't even bother with this one. If you have no problem with being helpless on your own....you may like it. I myself like to have at least SOME content that I can do on my own for times when circumstances keep me from being able to play non-stop for hours on end. I enjoy playing with groups, but I hate being forced into it. The majority of the time I spent on this game was just sitting there doing nothing, waiting for a party to form. None of the parties that I did find were even worth bothering with. It's pretty irritating to spend 2 hours hunting a party only to find out within 15 mins. of joining the party that either 1.) Everyone was going to be dead within the next 15 mins. or 2.) We were going to make even less exp than the laughable amount I could make solo. Also the game control is the absolute worst that I have ever seen in any game, ever. If you are thinking of buying this game be sure to research it a lot before you do. If you can't spend 3 hours uninterrupted at the computer, I definately wouldn't recommend it.
