Summary: This is the best game I have ever played!!
Review: I gave Half-Life 5 stars because its the kind of game people want to play. Its not one of these 2 hour games that are boring, its more like a game that takes about a week if you know what your doing. Its also very realistic, like the guns and other stuff. When I just turn a corner in the game, im afraid what will happen to me, because it feels like your really are Gorden Freeman. My dad doesn't like video games, but when I showed him Half-Life, he just sat in my chair and started playing it. It also has a great storyline. I have played Half-Life and Half-Life Opossing Force, and from what I have seen, they can probably make about 15 Half-Lifes, just in the same story line, Like in Half-Life, your Gorden Freeman, in Opossing Force, our tthe military, in Blue Shift, your the securty gaurds, and they can make more like the snipers trying to kill the military, the scientists, the aliens, and alot more. If you see this game in a store, or has heard about it from somebody, I suggest you buy it. Alot of people are missing out in the best game of the year!

Review: If you like first person shooter games you will love this game. Plenty of Aliens, Guns, and Charters. Nice animation not one of those laggy choppy games where the side of their arm looks like squares put together. Reasons I like the game, You have to play Half-Life, Blue Shift, and Opposing Force to know the whole story . Its not one of those impossible games to beat. Isnt full of impossible puzzles. Reduceses stress by using a machine gun and filling aliens with lead. The makers can get you suked into the game so you dont think about whats in the real world. And when you cralling in the ventalation syestem your flashlight doesent always show the headcrab untill you fly out of you seat in shock.

Review: my friend told me that this game is the best game ever, so i bought it. when i played it, the combined force of the enemy ai, grafix, plotline, realistic-ness, and all the other crazy stuff that makes half-life what it is hit me like a steel crowbar upside the head.plus, you gotta get the expansions. team fortress and counter-strike are more than fun, and opposing force and blue shift tell other sides of the story. GeT ThIs GaMe or you will never know the joy of playing it.

Review: What can I say about this game? It was name PC Gamer's game of the year! The game is simply great! At first glance, it seems like your typical first person shooter, but once you start getting into the game, everything changes. It turns into a complete horror game. It's one of those games that if you play at night, will make you want to turn all the lights in the house on. The game gives you huge suprises, like little alien creatures jumping out at you from no where. Or dark corridors with things waiting to kill you on the other side. This game is great, and is perfect for anyones collection!

Summary: My All-Time Favorite Shooter!
Review: Here's my ratings... Graphics - 5/5 - Awesome graphics for a 1998 game. Gory, bloody, horrifying, everything you want in a shooter. If you have a Voodoo3, the graphics will look amazing. The explosions are one of the best, too. Sounds - 5/5 - One of the first shooters to have crisp clear voicing that doesn't sound bad! The gunshots and explosion sounds are timed accordingly to fit the animation. There are hardly any music, which is cool. Especially when you're not sure if your head's gonna get blown off, you REALLY don't want to be hearing some catchy song. Hehe. Gameplay - 5/5 - Incredible. After I played Quake 2, I thought to myself... 'there couldn't be a better game.' But then I came upon this game two years later. It revolutionized all 3d shooters. Without Half Life, there wouldn't be a Return to Castle Wolfenstein or a Red Faction. The gameplay is awesome. Its better off playing in Hard mode, that way you get to play the game like its real life. Just a couple shots and you die instead of forty shots. That's what I like about this game, the realism. Misc - 5/5 - The story is wonderful. It's old but it's still cool. The game is very user friendly. I believe it is the first 3D Shooter to use the mouse for look and shoot, the keyboard for movement and other stuff. I really liked this option, it's PHAT! OverAll - 5/5 - Great game, if you've never played it, you must!

Summary: Buy it if you want, but i dont reccomend it
Review: First of all, the graphics STINK! The game play wasn't that bad.
The story line was ok. After a while it became one of those shoot at everything you see kinda games. Im sure it was awesome when it came out but this is now, not then! If you want a good fps game get Ghost Recon or Medal of Honor Allied Assult, those are two awesome games. If you want buy it, go ahead, I won't be the one throwing my money out the window.

Summary: Best First Person Shooters
Review: Half-Life game of the year is one of the best first person shooting games Ive ever played. Along with Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Half-Life Blue Shift, Max Payne, Alien vs. predator 2, Red Fraction, Half-Life opposing force and Counterstrike. All these games have a few things in common good graphics, good controls, good sound, and good game setting. You can tell by these good qualities that these are some of the best.

Summary: Wait.....whats everyone so excited about again?
Review: You would think that a game with this much hype and praise MUST be just the greatest game ever created, right? Well, I dont know about that. Sure Valves Half Life is a decent game; the graphics are not too bad, the AI is fair, etc. But not one part of the game is truly outstanding. The storyline is rather bland, consisting of nothing more than secret government compounds and evil aliens from another dimension, as is the level design. I must have spent over 2/3 of the game wandering through insipid gray corridors. The weapons you are equipped with are ok, considering that most of them are real world guns, so they act as expected. The thing that I disliked most about this game however, was the endless lackluster appearance of the world you walk through. This game is almost devoid of atmosphere, and not even the 'alien world' levels were very vivid. Perhaps that is just a graphical handicap though, considering that it uses the rather archaic Quake2 engine. I suppose the bottom line is; if you are looking for another game to pass the time with, check this out, or if you go for those online realism mods, this is the game to start with. I for one was dissappointed, If you are looking for a game that will really suck you in though, try Unreal or Deus Ex.

Summary: Best First Person Game, I have ever played
Review: I consider Unreal Tournament the best Shooter game around (due to its furious action and online gaming support) but nothing touches Half-life for a total Gaming experience. As you play it you become totally immersed in the enviroment and story as Gordon Freeman a scientist at the Black Mesa Research facility. The Graphics, sound, interactive enviroments, story telling and blending with great action is unparalled in PC gaming software. There are plot twists and new discoveries everywhere.
