Review: The Best Game In The World. Nothing comes close. I've been playing video and PC games since 1982 and I have never played anything this long without getting bored and moving on to another game. I got this game 2 years ago and it is still my most played game. Heck, I even rented my own Counter-Strike Server and made two websites devoted to the game. Dosen't that tell you something? Close to half a million players are online at any given time. The second most played online game don't even have 1/4 the user-base that counter-Strike has. Dosen't that tell you something also? You don't need a fast computer to run it. The learning curve is actually pretty long, but you'll have so much fun you don't care.Get this game by all means!

Review: This game or mod should I say is great, got addicted right away. Fun on both sides, enact hostage takeovers, storm and defuse bombs, assassnaite or protect the V.I.P and more. Of course if you have Half Life already, just download it from cscentral.com . This game is worth the money. I have become a fan of this game like everyone else. Its completely worth buying it.

Review: because you'll be playing it for hours on end -- that is if you don't end up breaking your computer. While the game is fun and entertaining for those who like first person shooting games, there are plenty of insolent people who roam the online community hoping to anger you. Other then that, it's pretty fun for LAN parties and is still getting constantly updated. The replability value is extremely high -- however, there is no plot and story line for those who crave it -- just endless point click and shoot. Bang. Keep in mind that this is a multiplayer online game and a FREE modification of the single player game halflife. You should just buy halflife instead (for the same price) and download this game for free off the official website. Deserves 1 star less for that.

Summary: CS addiction... i LOVE it
Review: Nice game. You have to be real good or have good preferal vision for this game. If i were you i would get this game and play the map cs_assault. It is the best. And if you have time download the maps fy_iceworld. One good thing not to do is cheat. Most servers dont like that and ban you from their game. And cheating doesnt show ur real skill.

Summary: YOU MUST HAVE A POWERFUL COMP FOR THIS
Review: ...it took me only 2 hours to download all 5 patches and a buncha of other stuff (maps, bots, skins, etc.)But, enough about that, let's talk about the game. THIS GAME WILL BE HIGHLY ADDICTIVE! If you have a slow comp ... this game WILL [stink]. If you find out that you just simply can't kill a single person(a lot of you will) download podbots and practice with those for a little bit. Oh yeah, note to you people, sometimes when u play CS, and you update for servers to find, you may notice that the game takes longer than USUAL. If that happens, quit the game, then come back. I reccomend this product to you...

Review: I truly believe Counter-Strike is one of the greatest games ever made. With millions of people to play with, thousands of maps, great guns, complicated gameplay, and perfect controls. This game will last you a long time. It takes awhile to become good at so there is always more to learn. Teamplay is great, the fun factor is amazing, and it is just a fun experience. However some people aren't to sportsman like and insist on using hacks which allow them to have advantages, hacks are not allowed in CS and you shouldn't use them. Others will just be jerks to you and say how much you suck or push you around.. If they don't respect you, don't respect them. There are other things people do which are just cheap such as spawn-killing on AWP maps.. which basically means you die before you get the chance to fight. Counter-Strike (and most 3d online games) will not bare well if you have either a slow connection (56K or below) or an old computer. Tweaking to low settings will solve this, but it can only do so much. on my 2 year old computer I experience a lot of lag It is 500MHZ, 256MB, geforce4 MX420 (PCI) computer, and I am on DSL. Now If I play on a server with more than 10 players I have a lot of trouble with lag (slowdown). IF you know your computer is old and you don't want to spend more money on this game maybe you shouldn't buy counter-strike. You may find out that you want or need $$$ worth of computer parts to improve your game. when I had 56k I would hear sounds repeated over and over and freeze, next thing I was dead.The fact that people with newer computers and high speed connections have an advantage is kind of upsetting, but hey. Tips for new players:
-as a new player (newb,newbie, noob, nub,n00b,n00bie) you will receive insults about being new to the game and it may discourage you, just keep trying.. Practice makes perfect. -do not hold down on your fire button. many guns will shoot out of control if you don't shoot in small bursts of fire. It will increase your accuracy an damage. -Aim for the chest or head. It kills a lot faster then shooting someone in the leg. -Start off with 1 or 2 guns. It will make you good if you get to know one single gun.. I recommend the M4 and AK47 as they are great for long and close distance and do great damage quickly. However they are hard to control a gun such as the MP5 may be better suited for you seeing as your are new.. the gun wont fly everywhere when you hold down fire and it costs little, the damage is poor so aim for the head and chest. Other players should tell you about how to use guns. -Use your ears. Headphones are a lot better then speakers. many people don't realize how many players use ears as a guide. It allows you to hear enemy's coming from all directions and identify them. knowing where your enemy is before they know where you are is very helpful. -buy the kevlar or kevlar/helmet.. It will give you more time to live -Practice, more important then anything. you will not get good if you don't try. -dont play on servers for newbs. You wont improve much. -If you are having lag and don't know what to do about it go online and find info on it.. Counter-strike.net has a good tech forum.. You can prevent a lot of slowdown with a few minor changes. You would think that all my complaints would give a lower rating, but the fact remains that counter-strike is one of the best games out there.. Even being unfriendly to newbs, hacking, power hungry, and just being cheap can't take that away, these issues only occur sometimes anyway. Well worth the download or buy.

Review: Ok, if you haven't played Half Life's: Counter Strike yet,then you have no idea what you're mising. Realistic first person shooter, puts you in the shoes of either "Terrorist" or "Counter Terrorist". Massive MultiPlayer game lets you work side by side with team mates to achieve the goal of each side. A definite must buy ;)
