Review: This game needs to be played on-line, and if you dont have a great Internet connection then you have some problems, also if other players on-line can cause you to get removed from the server for no reason causing you to not being able to play.

Review: All the good you've heard about Counterstrike is true. Just one other note, if you've got a slow internet connection you can try using Podbot--a program that will give you computer opponents.
Another note: If you're turned off by or bored with the player and weapons models or the sounds, there are lots of replacements available for download at no cost. This has helped me maintain interest in the game over a long period.

Summary: Even better than the real thing
Review: Rarely does one encounter a fan-based modification that actually surpasses what the original game sets forth. However this is defintely one of them, if not the best of them! This mod blows away the regular multi-player HL bigtime. Also, since it came out, nearly every other FPS that was decent seemed to spawn similar C-S based mods for their engines (UT). However, none of them even compare to this one - that is probably why the developers of HL actually ended up packageing it! Nuff said.

Review: This game is the best game i have ever played!!! I love multiplayer action games more then anything, but this one tops it off. i have had the game since the day it was realsed. There is not a day that goes by that i dont play it. i'm telling you no other multiplayer game compares to it!! so if your in the game store wandering wich one to pick up, dont be stupid!!! go for counter strike!!!

Review: Simple & straightforward yet chock full of strategy! Sure u could download it for free somewhere but if u are like me & on a dial-up connection go ahead & shell out the few bucks!!

Summary: Very Addictive
Review: I swear this is the best game ever created! Two teams, Counter-Terrorist (CT) and Terrorist hit it off with a compelling battle of the two in four different scenarios including plant bomb/defuse, when the terrorist try to plant the bomb and the CT try to defuse it or not giving them a chance to plant it. Hostage rescue, when the CT try to find and bring the hostages to a hostage safety zone with terrorist trying to kill em. Another one is when the terrorist and the CT try to just destroy eachother. The last one is having to include the VIP on the CT team. There are great weapons and equipment to go along with the exciting games. All at the same time while playing you can chat with others! The downside is that downloading all the patches and stuff is a real pain and confusing. If you're thinking about getting this game, i would reccomend it if you knew someone who plays the game already to help.

Summary: DANGEROUSLY ADDICTIVE.
Review: They should change the name to "Counter-Crack", because once you've played...you're hooked!! This game takes computer gaming to a whole new level. Real-world weaponry and detailed maps give the game a realistic feel. Currently there are over 6000 servers running this game, so you can always find someone to play against, anytime, day or night. One word of advice...if you use a Trackball mouse, switch back to a conventional one (or be prepared to die a lot). Counter Strike was the best [money] I've ever spent!!
