Review: i shall start this review rather unpleasently,with a good shout to all those who gave this game a low rating cuz thry think u can download it....THAT IS JUST THE COUNTERSTRIKE MOD THIS INCLUDES HALF LIFE AND OPPOSING FORCE MULTIPLAYER,TEAM FORTRESS,CS,AND 4 OTHER MODS...don't forget the 4 other mods.anyway,this is THE fps to buy,even if the graphics are a bit dated.if you get the bonus disk(which i think amazon's version includes)you get lots of stuff,most importantly the .BOTs .5 stars for gameplay,minus one for the dated graphics and the fact it can be a bit slow and buggy

Summary: Just Rediculous...
Review: I remember being told about this game when it was in its infancy like...what was it?...beta 4 I think. I got on the bandwagon at about beta 5 which was an even more rediculous 2 and some odd change years ago. Since then I've played the game through its many incarnations such as when all weapons could be bought by either team...and when there was nothing mightier than the Colt Carbine that could scope (can anyone imagine this now?)...So what exactly am I trying to say? Well this: This game is absolutely rediculous...I've been playing it for more than 2 years and will still scream at my monitor asking where my backup was. I have been to numerous lan parties playing this game from dusk into the dawning of the new day. Call me a loser call me whatever you want, but if you don't get completely and utterly dragged down into the depths of this game then you're a better person that the millions of players all over the world including me. There are warnings I should mention...first and most importantly have an internet connection (oh and I read someone elses review who was complaining about a 56k connection, I had a friend who had the same but still managed a 1+ frag/min avg), second get ready for cheaters and don't even think about being one, and finally phone everyone you know and tell them not to worry if they don't hear from you for awhile....oh and lastly...don't forget to breathe...its only a game afterall

Summary: The Best Game of the year I think.
Review: I really think this is is cool. Because there are two teams(Counter Terrorists and there's the Terrorists). You go around the map searching for the other players on the oposing team. The Terrorists get a bomb and they can plant it to win that round. You buy weapons and shoot and kill the other players. I think it's really cool and I eardge you to buy the game.

Summary: Computer Drugs
Review: I can't recommend this game enough to anybody tired of the fantasy fps that are on the market today. The game is achingly realistic, sometimes not to your advantage. The reason I titled this computer drugs is that this is the single most addictive game out there, whether you are on a good server or not. THe game emphasizes strategy and tactical action over melee, rambo types multiplayer fps's. The game is one of the single most unique multiplayer experiences out there, and will surely be imitated. As for issues of control, layout, design; it follows Half-Life so everything is pretty much the same. The difficulty is incredibly hard at first because of head shots ( one shot kills) and very little health, relatively. Once you get the hang of it though, you can't wait for the smallest amount of free time to play it. Yes, there is a problem with cheating, immaturity, and sadly I've seen many offensive slurs uttered througout the game from "dead" players. This is something we cannot control. What you can do if you buy this game, ( trust me, buy it) is find a good server where idiots and loudmouths are kicked promptly, , misbehavior is not tolerated, and preferably running Punk Buster. Punk Buster is free, download it. All the complaints in the previous reviews could be addressed by finding some good servers, saving them to "favorites", and sticking with them.

Summary: Great Gameplay, but cheaters galore.
Review: Like all of these people have said, this game is the most fun FPS (First Person Shooter) out there. It COULD easily get a five, but the cheaters in this game are HORRIBLE. Cheaters are every where for those of you interested in this game. There are tons of hacks out there for this game, and you can simply find them by searching for 'cs hacks' in your search engine and installing them. The counter-strike developers, have done nothing about this, and it is ruining the game. I think at this moment though, Sierra and Valve (The producers and makers of this game) are coming up with an anti-cheating program. Do not be awed by this. When Punk-Buster came out, rumor has it, that it was hacked into within five hours of it's release. Punk Buster was yet another anti-cheating program to try and stop cheaters. Everyone would LOVE to have cheaters out of here, but that wont be for a while in my opinion. I am hoping that they make an actual WORKING anti-cheat program soon. I know one is in development as of now. Without a doubt though, even with the cheaters, this game is worth your money, and your time. Great FPS game. Go get it. But beware of cheaters, and if you cannot absolutely tolerate them, then this is not the game for you.
