Summary: Best first person shooter yet
Review: Splinter cell Pandora Tommarow incorperates all the pluses of the original and all the best parts of it are even better. You can do all the moves of the original, plus a few more. The graphics are even better than the first and there are several outdoor missions in which the sun either sets or rises gradually, changing the shodows in which you can hide. Speaking of hiding, there is now an on screen gauge that tells how visable you are to enemy mercinarys.

There is now a unique multi-player that allows you and three others to play each other, X-box and PS2 have it, but I'm not sure about Gamecube. You can play 1 on 3 or 2 on 2; one side are the spies and the other are the mercinaries. Each are evenly matched, but each have different advantages. The spies can see from a third person view allowing them to be more aware of their surroundings while the mercinaries have a first person veiw allowing them to shoot more accuratly, but they can't see behind or to the side of themselves. Each side has their own gadgets and each have thier own weapons as well their own objectives, the spies have to complete an objective and the mercinaries have to stop them. The mercinaries have auto-matic weapons that can easily kill a spy but all the spies have are one shot pistols that can only stun an enemy, thus the only way a spy can kill a mercinary is either by jumping on him or breaking his neck. The mercinaries have the advantage in open combat, but their poor vision means tht a spy can gain the upper hand with stealth, at least untill they're discovered. This means that both sides need different stratagies to win.

Summary: is this game worth time and money ??
Review: sure it is... for one i played halo and far cry and alot of other gun high teck games but for some reason i play this game alot more than the others cuz ITS SO ADDICTIVE!!! sever sucks in a way cuz you cant add friends to your list or find your buddys. so that is a downer =( but i do love it were u can make a game to play 1on1 if you want or make up your team the way you WANT. but if i was you and wanting a fun gun game that will keep you busy for months to go and alot of spending time into and i mean "well worth your money". this game is for you!! p.s. if you need to upgrade just to play it. its worth it i think....

Summary: Decent
Review: The gameplay is good and the graphics are nice but the game itself isn't too impressive. The challenge of figuring out what to do is not a challenge as the answers are usually given to you or made pretty obvious. It's something to do, but not the most entertaining.

Summary: No Star Review
Review: This game is terrible. For one thing it does not even come with a reference book for installing and installing issues. I like some of the other consummers purchased this game in good faith thinking that a computer less than a year old with a high end video card (when purchased) would be able to run it. BUT after installing it and uninstalling it and then installing it again, and after making the upgrade as suggested for their video links this game still would not run. Even after going to UBI's support page and doing all of the suggested fixes still no GAME PLAYING!
So, I then went to my final resouce and called UBI in person and there I was told that the game would not work on a less than a year old video card and that I was pretty much of of the $40 spent on this nothing game. So in my words UBI is making money while we are lossing!!! Thanks, but no more games from your company UBI!

Summary: Wait for the price drop
Review: To sum it up, the games great. I didn't have any problems wit the installation, and the graphics were exceptional on my Radeon 9800 Pro. Only downside? Too short. Beat the game on normal mode in exactly 7 days. Still an awesome game though, and theres nought more satisfying than luring someone into a corner, grabbing them, and smacking them upside the head with your pistol. Just wait for the price to go down a bit, to make your enjoyment complete.

Summary: CD-RW issues
Review: UbiSoft makes note of the issue on their web page. It's sadly verifiable. CDRW drives will have a hard time reading any UbiSoft game, it's not a rule without exception, but it will most definetly hinder some people's ability to play the game. If you want to verify this please check out UbiSoft's own website, in their FAQ- just type in "CD-RW" for your search. You won't definetly have issues with the game...but then again you might.

Such are the joys of a world where people pirate software and companies try to stop them. It's pretty lousy for everyone, the companies which make the product, the gamers who play the product, even the pirates who try to steal the product...

As for my score, I played the demo and loved it, that's all I've got to go on.

Summary: CD-rW issues
Review: Well, what do you know. They sure do tell you that on their web site. You have to dig to find it though. On the main page for the game it only says... "NOTICE: This game contains technology intended to prevent copying that may conflict with some disc and virtual drives."

That choice of wording tells the "normal" person NOTHING about it not working with "CD-RW" drives. You have to dig into their FAQ to find their statment about it not being compatable with some CD-RW's. SHAME on you Ubisoft!!! SHAME, SHAME, SHAME...

So, what can you do? In searching various gaming sites I found 2 options to try. 1.) Change your CD-RW's "Device Settings" in "Device Manager", then "IDE/ATA/Atapi Controller", then the "Channel" for your CD-RW" from DMA to PIO mode. Some said that fixed their problem. 2.) Search sites like gamecopyworld.com for a "fixed .exe" for the game. The fixed .exe will let you play the game without having to insert the game cd into the drive. Yes, it's a hack, and it's VEY dangerous to trust any hack, so use it at your own risk. I just did that for Unreal Tournament 2004. I was getting the same SafeDisk encryption error as Splinter Cell causes, and the hacked/fixed .exe solved my problem. So, keep looking for it if you need it. It usually only takes a few days or week until someone posts it after the game is released.

Once again I say. SHAME on you UbiSoft.
