Summary: THE Game for everyone!
Review: If you haven't played Myth series before (why?) then you will have a great surprise. Already the first part of the series "The Fallen Lords" broke ground with its amazing graphics and un-strategic-game-like gameplay + story. Then (after a long time of impatient waiting) we got "The Soulblighter" which was definetly the all times best. And as if that wasn't enough, Bungie managed to give the add-on away for free. In one word: Bungie Rules.

The story goes, you are a simple soldier fighting in a war against the evil warlocks and it is not an easy battle. Your units will get better after many battles and so does the story. And 50 years after the final fight dark clouds start to gather again. This time the forgotten lord, Soulblighter, who managed to escape from you and gather some power, came to give his final blow. And with the help of the diar you wrote during the first game "goods" manage to... but that is all ready for you to see.

Anyway, if this seemed too simple for you, then just buy and watch as those "badies" tear of the limbs and heads of soldiers (in the beginning) and tell it again. The game is absolutly fabulous and I'm quite sure you'll love it from the first sight.

Summary: You don't know what you're missing!
Review: If you like Command & Conquer, Warcraft or Starcraft, it'll take you about half an hour to totally fall in love with Myth. Have a fast computer and a decent graphics card. PII350 is my reccommended minimum. The storyline for the game is a little bit weak, but that's okay: you'll be so eager to get to the battles, that you'll find yourself skipping throught the story narrations, anyway.

Myth's 3D physics is simply breathtaking, and gameplay is superb. Some of the epic battles will make you replay their footages in your mind for days. Practice camera control and get very good at it. The better you are with the camera, the more you'll enjoy this game.

Summary: Favourite Games Ever
Review: Myth is quite simply, my favourite series ever. And for only$20, if you don't have this collection (or have not ordered it) youshould ask someone to kick you in the head as hard as they can. Myth is set in a world of light and dark creatures, battling it out to the end. And a great storyline makes you want to keep playing and never stop. Although Myth an RTS game, it is different from others because you cannot build structures or units. You start out with an army that you retain for the rest of the scenario, and you send them into battle. This may sound a little shallow, but trust me, it's not. You have to take advantage of key terrain points (such as the top of a cliff, overlooking a valley full of enemies), and set up your units in just the right way. And while the single player missions are fun, the high point of the game is the multiplayer. You can either set up a network or play free over the internet. On the internet site, I have made freinds and I'm sure you will too, and the whole atmosphere of the place is very freindly. Everyone is a good sportsman there. Once again, if you don't have this, you deserve a kick in the head. Definitely my favourite game ever. END

Summary: Great game, with just a bit lacking.
Review: Really a great game. I personally like Myth II a lot better than the first, it's more detailed. It's got some great 3-D graphics, but the camera view can be a little annoying when you are still learning the game. The multiplayer aspect of the game is thrilling. With hundreds of plug-ins on the disk, you can play standard, Civil War style, or my favorite, WWII. Each one has great details. The AI isn't to smart, but it gets the job done. With exploding monsters comming at you from all directions, you are forced to think, think, and think again. The computer will force you to outsmart it, having 5 men of yours agenst rows and rows of enemies. All in all, I would definatly buy it if you are looking for a lot of fun and thrills, and have the 3-D acceloration.

Summary: A Demo Is The Best Way To Decide: Look For A Demo
Review: The best game in the world? Or a colorful frisbee? Look for a game site with a demo to download, and you decide for yourself. I am not a big fantasy gamer nor am I a RTS player. A friend gave me Myth Of The Fallen Lords and I tried it because I have an 800 Mhz Pentium III and I fell in love with Myth. It works beautifully - you've got to endure the learning curve, but, for me, it was worth it. Hating a game because it isn't instantly mastered or "easy" to begin playing, isn't the best way to judge. I enjoy this game immensely, but you may hate it. Find a demo. Try it.

Summary: This is a Hybrid - MAC and PC!
Review: There's a bit of a mistake here, the Total Codex contains hybrid CDs that will work on both Macs and PC's.

That said, this is an excellent offering from those bungie gods. It includes both award winning Myth titles, along with an expansion for Myth 2, and a collection of the best user created maps around. As an experienced player I can tell you that these really are the best maps out there. Really top notch quality. I bought a copy for myself and one for a gift.

If you're a latecomer to the Myth series, this set will not disappoint. Myth 2 still has a huge and loyal following, including myself, almost a year after its release. It is still the only game of its kind, the story is solid and engrossing, and the multiplayer is truly something to be experienced. You'll regret not jumping on this bandwagon.

The only reason not to buy this title is fairly steep system requirements. If you want to play this game competitively, you need at least a 300 mhz processor, 64 megs of RAM, 600 megs of hard disk space, and a good graphics card.

Summary: Great game with its own flaws
Review: This is a great game. I will stay there. It requires all kinds of thought and mastery of military strategy. Overall the game looks amazong, and the blood & gore is second to only Soldier of Fortune.

This game's downfalls however made it nearly unplayable. The game runs absurdly slow on my system, which is currently a 533 mhz system. This really makes for an awful experience. One you get to the later levels, you will have more load time than play time.

I really recommend this if you have a smoking system, it really is great, however, if you run less than a 533 mhz, you are not in for a treat.

Summary: Myth - A myth that is is a good game.
Review: This is one of the worst games ever made. It is impossible to beat even the easiest levels without spending hours on learning the terrible interface and horrid battle system. Very bad game for even the highly experienced RTS player. If you have hours to waste, fine, buy this game. Otherwise get a real game that will allow you to have fun.
