Summary: Nearly Complete King's Quest
Review: King's Quest was my favorite computer game series. Beginning in the 80's with the first color PCs, Kings Quest allowed the player to wander through various fairy tale lands, solving puzzles based on classic stories. The games were text-interface in the beginning, and offered just the right amount of challenge and story telling to be compelling. This collection of the original 7 King's Quest games in one box. The bonus games, while fun, are not as good as the KQ games included. Definitely the best games of early PC gaming.

Summary: An absolute classic.
Review: King's Quest was Sierra's milestone maker from the 80s up through the early 90s. King's Quest 1 was the first computer game with color graphics, King's Quest 4 was the first game with digital music, and King's Quest 5 was the first game with complete voice actors, and King's Quest 6 was the first game exclusively on compact disc.

But besides all that, the games themselves are practically masterpieces in their own right. That is, except for game 7. I'm not sure if that was made before or after Sierra was bought out by Cendant, but it would certainly explain some things. In any case, the mediocrity of it doesn't detract from the rest. However, you should note that King's Quest 1-4 and the Laura Bow games are made for DOS and may not work properly under new versions of Windows. They do work for me under Windows 2000 with VDMSound, though.

Summary: King of games!
Review: Kings quest collection is very good. It has all of the kings quest games except Kings Quest 8. It also includes other neat games from the same creators. The collection is pretty challenging and will keep you up late in the night for months. Very fun!

Summary: Great Games!! Brings back memories!!
Review: Most of these games I had already passed with my dad about 10-14 years ago. My dad is a computer programmer and he used to bring these games home, I played all of them except Kings Qust 5 and up. It was a lot of fun playing them again on my own though!!

Summary: Awesome
Review: Ok, I was very surprised when i got this. I used to have laura bow 2, which is an awesome detective game, but i lost it. So, i saw that it was in this collection, so i payed for it alone, because it is worth it. Then after i got this collection and played lb2 awhile, i decided to try king's quest. The first game is awesome, even with the 4bit graphics! I still haven't beaten them all. I beat kq 1,6, and 7. This collection also made me go out and buy king's quest 8, which is a new game.

Overall this collection is worth ten time what you pay for. You get like 11 full games. Buy this as soon as you can!

Summary: An uneven collection of a (mostly) influential game series.
Review: The King's Quest series has been long regarded as one of the most influential adventure series in computer gaming history. That may or may not be true--you can decide for yourself if you purchase this package. Unfortunately, only a couple of the games are worthy of being influential--the middle games in the series are the most fully realized and most satisfying games. Most of the others are hollow playing experiences, offering little besides scintillating graphics and usually interesting sound and music. Even the bonus games are, for the most part, mediocre offerings at best. If you are a long-time fan and would like to own the games, it's definitely worth it. But you will most likely otherwise not be swayed to think King's Quest is the greatest game series ever.

Summary: Great ride but not worth the price of admission
Review: The Kings Quest collection is, in my opinion, the best adventure series ever but these prices that the people are selling them at are utterly and stupidly ridiculous! Now as far as the games are concerned, EVERY game in the series is great and awesome there really isn't a bad game in the whole series and the way each game connects from the last is done perfectly and brilliant. I think the best way to describe this series is like playing a awesome novel that always keeps ahold of your attention. Now as far as the price concerns obviously these greedy jackasses are asking for WAY too much. Mainly because these games are meant to be played on older systems, KQ 1-4 are DOS games and KQ 5-7 were designed for WIN 3.1. I have a Pentium II processor and run WIN98SE and I sometimes have problems running KQ 5-7 so I could imagine this collection wouldn't work too well if at all on more modern systems. Even if you do have an older computer and want to purchase this collection you could find it for alot cheaper on ebay (little hard to find but be patient there's usually someone selling it.) So to summarize, Awesome, kick ass, rocking games but overpriced by greedy jackasses so check Ebay.

Summary: Great for everyone!
Review: The Kings Quest series are probably the most memorable adventure games in existance. They appeal to children, adults, men, and women alike. The games are serious, slapstick, romantic, dashing, and so many other things all rolled into one. I really loved this series and I'm glad that someone decided to package them.

Each game follows a member of the Daventry family in one manner or another. As an added bonys, girls.. sometimes the hero is actually a heroine! As the series progress you can watch the Daventry family grow, have children, and suffer tradgedy through at least three generations.

The only thing that might be a problem is that as some of these games are old they might not work on newer machines. Make sure that you have all the patches from Sierra and read the documentation thoroughly in case the games don't function your first try. With a little bit of computer coaxing you should get them going again, but you also might decide it's not worth the trouble.
