Summary: O.R.B. An OK HomeWorld Clone (until HW2 comes out)
Review: Yes, we've all been waiting for Homeworld 2 to be released for over a year now. If you're like me and can't wait, O.R.B. is an ok HW substitute to keep you occupied until the spring (which, hopefully, will mean HW2!!). The graphics in O.R.B. are quite good (indeed, even better than HW in many respects), but it takes forever to load up the game (unlike HW), and you can't switch between the game and other applications easily (which is a necessity when your wife is around ;-). Also, the music is nowhere near as good as HW, and the alien races speak in gibberish, which, frankly, is very silly. Still, the game feels and operates a lot like HW, so it is rather easy to play for the "experienced," but for you newcomers, it is going to take you a LONG, LONG time to figure out how the game works. In all events, Sierra Studios has nothing to worry about with this HW knock-off (unless, of course, Sierra continues to delay HW2!).
