Summary: Entertaining, but not as good as it could have been.
Review: Well, I don't know if it's the fact that I'me one big pile of Star Wars geekischness but I found this game at least entertaining enough to justify the money I've spend on it. The units look great, and the maps fair enough. The soundtrack is great. And the single-player missions are good enough to keep you of the street for a while.

Yet,the game isn't as good as it could have been. For example, when a Tusken Raider riding a Bantha is killed, the Bantha tips over like it where a schoolbus hit by a buldozer. Aditionally, it looks like all the infantry units are skilled in the Jedi-art of vanisching after death. When a Trooper is shot, you can see him fall down, then lay there for about a second or so and then simply vanisch in to thin air. My last and main consern though is the camera, I have played the game for a while and have figured it out now, but getting an holding a good view on the battlefield kan still be difficult at times.

All in all, I really don't regret buying Force Comander. Getting the oppoturnity to order a squad of AT-AT walkers in to battle is one of the most beautifull things that can happen to a Star Wars fan. Yet,I think this game is mainly for the fans, people that are looking for a nice 3D RTS game better look some further.

Summary: Something to talk about
Review: I would first have to say that you have to hvae a good PC and a good 3d card if you want this game to work properly, The graphics are good much better than in any stradegy game i've seen the music/sound is good (u know the old SW music) i found it a bit hard to use the view buttons at first but know it's easy, this game is fairly easy( when ) you have played the training missions so what i'm trying to say is that: YOU WILL LOVE IT WHEN YOU LEARN TO CONTROL THE CAMERA VIEW anything else will come it's a great game everything about it is fantastic buy it because it's the greates stradegy game ever.

Summary: Buy Starcraft instead of this
Review: I'm a huge Star Wars fan and was excited to play ForceCommander.....but I'm glad my friend bought it instead of me. Theinterface, as other reviews say, is horrible. And the graphics are just as bad (the movie scenes are good....but those are 5% of the game). I played this for a whole evening, hoping it would get better and it didn't. Starcraft has a much better interface and graphics.

Summary: Better wait for Earth 2150 !
Review: Hi,

I bought Force Commander and I must commit that I am quite dissapointed. Although I am real SW-Fan, the game engine is totally out of date. I would suggest for every one looking for 3D rts games to download the demo of earth2150. This seems to be an awesome game. Three parties instead of two. cycling day/night cycles/teather-effects/terrain-effects/own unit construction. And the controls are much easier to learn then in FC.

Summary: One of the Best Star Wars games yet
Review: Great game - at first I thought it was going to be like Rebellion (slow) - But was I ever wrong. This game make you think. You really need to plan out every move. This is a must for all Star Wars fans.

Summary: Only believe this review...
Review: This game is really terrible anddissapointing. First of all, everyone you see who has given it 4 or 5stars is a Star Wars zealot who is unwilling to admit that the master could create trash like this. The graphics don't compare with any halfway decent game out there, the Storm Troopers casually walk and shoot like they're on a parade ground, Banthas tip over like they're boxes, the control set-up was made by a sadist, and the cut scenes seem as if they were written by children. I stopped playing this game on the first day I bought it, and started playing Risk II, a more mundane, but more enjoyable experience.

Summary: WOW!
Review: I got this game thinking that a may be boring or dumb. But the first time I played it those thoughts vanished out of my mind. The game is great and the graphics are spectacular. I played it networked with all my friends and the first thing that came out of their mouth was "I'm getting this game as soon as i can." The only drawback is the interface. I don't know why all the other reviewers had trouble with the camera because it seemed easy to me.

Summary: What are you guys thinking, seriously?
Review: This game is not so bad as others place it to be. If youre willing to be explorative with games, this game allows for more than the usual RTS.If you are a graphics junkie, dont bother, but if youre looking for a solid RTS, this is pretty fun with its new concepts. Turn the music off though. The game has new concepts like instead of units popping out of nowhere, they are sent to you via shuttles and such. The SFX are cool. The game doesnt slow machines down at all, at least in my case (PIII550 w/Voodoo33000D) If you are a fan youll absolutely love it. Just to be sure though you might want to pick up the demo it cant hurt.

Summary: Poor Interface
Review: Star Wars: Force Commander has to be the most poorly designed gaming interface ever designed. Granted, the programmers must have spent a lot of time on it, and I commend them for their efforts, but it just doesn't work. The control isn't precise and rapid enough. The video clips give a nostalgic atmosphere to the game...they seem as if they are high-tech - if the game was released back in 1996 or 1997, not 2000. Force Commander just doesn't make the cut, and the interface is what really threw me off here.

Summary: AMAZIN ROCKIN GAME FOR A REAL GAMER WHO KNOWS STRATEGY GAMES
Review: This game in my opinion is the greatest game ever produced by Lucasarts in its history. This game brings real Star Wars conflict into your hands. One downside in the game is the camera, but I addapted to that very quickly. The first training missions will always help. The game has beautiful graphics, amazing landscapes and plenty of new units. Some more cool things are the following camera which allows you to move into combat more easily. I really suggest you buy this game... Unless your a newbie at REAL time strategy.
