Summary: Wanna be a crime lord?
Review: ==This is probably one of the best sims of it's time. Unlike other sims, this one challenges the player to use his/her mind instead of quick reflexes. In essence, you must issue commands at the beginning of each week, and you can choose to watch it unfold after you hit the streets.
==A warning! There is very little that requires direct intervention during the actual week. It is mainly a strategy session followed by the animations of your actions during a week (gametime) period.
==The sound and music are sub-par, and they get rather boring after a while. But there is always the option of turning off the speakers and crank up your own music.
==Gameplay and graphics are dated, but if that is all you care about, ignore this game. This is one sweet little gem for someone willing to get past it's age and enjoy a good game.

Summary: Dull gameplay, but interesting to watch for a while
Review: I guess they were sort of going for a SIMS meet the Godfather game. I didn't really see much gameplay going on. There is an introductory video sequence in the begining, similar to the Untouchables tv show and then you are plopped into a 30s era simulation of city blocks. There are various little people running around doing errands and you can click on them to get more information. The street cars and other vehicles are kind of neat. I did enjoy watching that for a little while but that's about as far as I got. It may be worth picking up in a bargain bin but don't expect much more excitement than I've described above.

Summary: interesting gameplay and worth the money
Review: This game is a very slow game to play but that is what it was meant for. There is a high degree of strategy involved in the gameplay, and careful management is needed to win. There are many ways to take over the city your in so there is a high degree to replayability, and once you win it is fun to mess around and set up strange operations like blowing up the fbi building. i played it a few times and i liked it. it would be much more interesting if they made some sort of faster paced multiplayer option. i doubt well see anything like that in the future though. give it a try, or dl the demo. its worth it i think.

Summary: AWFUL!
Review: This game stinks! no better way to put it, I think that you would enjoy Swat 2 instead or black and white, I wish I never bought this one.

Summary: Unbelievably Boring
Review: This is one of the most unhappening games I have ever had the displeasure to play. Nothing happens. The controls are lousy, the graphics sub-par, the sound is bog-standard and the gameplay is weak. I bought it because I thot it might be a sort of Age of Empires meets Al Capone. But this is seriously one of the most non-engaging games out there. Avoid!
