Summary: Don't Even Think About Getting This Game
Review: Getting this game would be a waste of time and money. For halfthe price of this I'd rather get a game that offers better graphics, better realism, and better everything. If you haven't already guessed it's Red Alert. Even though it looks pretty good, after about a week you won't want to play it anymore. With Red Alert I continually go back to try just one more strategy... I think they just sat down and set a deadline for this game and the guys making it waited until the last week to do it. Right now all you need to do is type in the search box up there "Red Alert" and buy that game... You will have a way better game and not spend as much.

Summary: Nothing new but a blast nonetheless
Review: I don't normally play strategy games but this one has really caught my attention. I played the original C&C: Red Alert and I realize Tiberian Sun hasn't brought much new to the genre but this game still manages to be addictive. The cut-scenes are great with possibly the first good acting ever in a computer game. Get a a couple of friends to buy this game for the multi play as that is one of the best parts about the game and it is very satisfying to storm a buddies base. The graphics and sound are good also. Buy it.

Summary: One of the best modern real time stragy
Review: Tiberian sun is an example of how a real time game should be. Great campains where you can be either Nod or GDI. This game also has great skrimishes. Where you can play the computer on a diffrent level of difficulty and can play anwhere from 1-7 enimies. With alot of diffrent units and buildings this game is not to be missed.

Summary: This game is a disappointment
Review: To me this game is a disappointment, i have played the red alert games and i really loved it, but this game is so wierd, the graphics, the sound....everything is really professionally done but this game is just a mistake. e.g. what's the deal with those hunter seeker missles you cant defend your self against them thats just to wierd for me i dont really recommend you buying this one i rather want to recommend to you that you wait for C & C red alert 2 and buy Thief 2: Metal Age. instead of Tiberian Sun or just buy Star Wars: Force Commander but leave this game in the shelf. thanks for reading.

Summary: War World
Review: Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun is a stunning and entertaining strategy game. Once again, the heroic Global Defense Initiative (GDI) must battle the evil Brotherhood of NOD for control of Earth. The game looks and sounds great. The storyline is good and the gameplay is decent. The game's level of dificulty is pretty averaged. Tiberian Sun is a major improvement over the previous Command & Conquer games. The militaristic forces are more equally matched with new high-tech battle units and structures. The graphic are excellent. The battle terrains are impressive and very detailed.

Summary: Good But Not Great
Review: This pretty good, it has a good story, great in-game movies and adequate gameplay. However most of the marketing for this game has centered around it being a sequel to Red Alert. This is simply not true. The two games have almost nothing in common and Red Alert is a far better game. In saying this I mean that Tiberian Sun takes a huge step BACKWARDS in terms of gameplay from Red Alert. Gone are the ships and air planes to be replaced by boring helicopters and cheap "hover units".

However this game is not a total waste it has a very good storyline and execellent cinematics, featuring performances by several Hollywood stars (well maybe not stars but close enough). The graphics are pretty good but other games have done better.

Sure it's a classic and if you really like the series go ahead and buy it. But if you want the true best strategy game of 1999, go and check out Homeworld it's a far better game.

Summary: Ok we have the new look, now give us the GAME!
Review: I have to admit something, I love the way this game looks! It is spectacular in the graphics sense, but the story just left me out to dry. The orginal command and conquer storyline was way better. The GDI missions are a joke in this game and I have to say it...NOD RULEZ! The NOD missions are very fun to look at and play especially the evil HAL computer that talks to you in the cool voice. The game play units are completely unbalanced! On GDI side, all you have to do is amass a huge army of Tank Mechs and you can destroy any base no matter how fortified it is. On the NOD side, amass a huge army of 30 mobile artillery and nobody can stand in your way. The game is worth buying to see how it looks, but the gameplay is horrible and some of the missions are close to impossible which may frustrate some novice players. Ok Westwood you have provided the interface, now quit slacking and give us a good story!

Summary: Tiberian Sun Conquers RTS Genre!
Review: When I first played Tiberian Sun it shocked me into disbelief. I couldn't believe how deep the gameplay was. Its voxel-based 3D gaming terrain and loads of units make it a game that can be appriciated by all. But Westwood didn't stop there. They added some of the most sophisticated Artificial Intelligence programming imaginable. The AI gameplay alone is a major reason for buying this game. It gives a challenge to amatuers as well as hardcore RTS gamers. Buckle your seatbelt and keep your hands and feet inside the tank at all times.

Summary: Rather Have Red Alert
Review: First off, it is true that Tiberian Sun came no where near the hype that had preceded it. Westwood had been touting this as the best game ever made. Shame on me for actually believing the PR machine.

Tiberian Sun is a good game; but, it's not as good as the last C&C series: Red Alert. Many of the units in Tiberian Sun are just Red Alert units with a new name or different appearance. The game play is dull in the sense that nothing truly unique has been added except for the effects of spending too much time in the ore (Tiberium).

There comes a point in every game's creation where the designers must say enough with regards to the graphics. In a game like Tiberian Sun, where there is a lot going on, the graphics can become a distraction if they are too good. Too many times the designers forget that it is about game play first and graphics a distant second. They should be the added seasonings on an already delicious steak.

Hopefully Westwood will forget about this imitation and continue the Red Alert series since that is a tremendously better game.

Summary: I am a semi-professional reviewer!
Review: As I have done many game reviews, I have to look at all aspects of the game. 1. The graphics arn't outstanding or anything new, but still are pretty to look at. 2. The units and structures arn't entirely any thig to talk about. There new, but nothing you wouldn't expect. 3. Everyone has there own thoughts on playability, but I personaly just kept playing and playing, when i got tired of the caampains, the Random map editor kept me playing. That map maker isn't something you see on these kinds of games every day!. 4. The story line is very important. It makes you want to play to find out what happens next. I think Westwood did a very good job with this aspect even though the depth isn't quite there. 5. The final rating is just the feeling of the game. The let's have fun and play god, and shoot em up, chew em up, spit em out, and iononize their carcass kinda fun stays with you the whole game.

I think peoples low reviews are due to the fact that westwood has done so well before and made each new game a new experiance, people have come to ask to much.

I don't own it yet, but C&C Tiberian Sun: Firestorm is supposed to make the game a whole new experiance again and is really cool. Buy it now.

P.S. Amazon.com sells Firestorm.
